Meh I think shes pretty sometimes… sometimes! I also think she can sing unlike some other “singers” we’re forced to listen to… Shes not got Xtina par talent but shes got more talent then britney or RiRi.

Sorry, but I really like her. She is open and honest and you don’t see her stumbling out of bars flashing her crotch. Sure she has some issues (iq being one) but who doesn’t?
Is it just me or does her shirt look like its about to bust open because its so tight?
She just needs to keep plugging away and quietly reinvent/find herself. She’s got a loyal fan base. I bet in ten years she’ll come from nowhere to release a number one album and America will be in love with her all over again. She seems like she’s got an unbelievable work ethic, and that is a big part of making it in country music, if not all musical genres. Plus she’s sincere!! She overshares and is sappy and overtly sexual and tacky and all of these things are just part of her nature. I think she’s honest, loopy, but honest. I respect that.
I noticed the same thing about the shirt. She couldn’t even wear something that fit? To go on stage? Poor thing, at this point, I’m feeling sorry for her too. She’s even too dumb to know that she should want to dig a hole and crawl into it.
She’s looking kind of fat. For Jessica Simpson, that is.
I think country is where Jessica belonged from the beginning. She was pushed into pop wayyyy more than she’s being pushed into a new genre now.
I like her, I thing she’s genuine, which is the downfall of alot of us. She may not be as polished as we seem to demand of our celebrities or they’re labeled idiots, but she’s hanging in there the best way she knows how.
So, yeah, now go ahead and tell me what an idiot I am, too, lol.
The concert wasn’t in Niagara Falls, NY, it was in Niagara Falls, Ontario Canada. Sorry it’s such a lame commet, just thought I’d point it out.

I can’t stand her or her singing “style” and her daddy’s obession with her is totally wierd. Marry Romo please and get out of the entertianment biz. Daddy will have to get a real job.
I think she is lame! I love country music but i cant stand her song. She should stick to crappy pop songs and leave poor country alone.

“God given talent”???…send out the search party! Her voice is lack-luster at best. And that shirt looks uncomfortably tight…did daddy dress her? I feel sorry for this girl. Her career is obviously over and she can’t figure out where she needs to be. Time to pack up, go home and find a purpose for your life.
You know what drives some of these people to success? Normal people get embarrassed… people of her ilk, never do.
I’m sorry, I just don’t believe Nick Lachey cheated. She’s the one who banged the whole cast of Jackass while they were still married… meanwhile NL seemed all broken hearted about the divorce.
**EDIT** I just googled the lyrics of the song the critic alleges is about Nick Lachey cheating, and it’s totally not. What an idiot. The lyrics talk about how much she loves her man in case either her or her lover dies.(In the vein of that one country song “If Tomorrow Never Comes”). I thought it sounded incorrect.
I get the feeling the critic is not too familiar with JS and just assumes everything must be about Nick Lachey.
The part about her still thinking she’s on a reality show is funny though.
Sounds to me like the ‘critic’ had already planned to pan her show in advance. In fact, I wonder if the writer even attended, or just sent someone else to tell him (her?) what is was like.
Seems to me, if the crowd was happy, if THEY felt they got their money’s worth, that is the important thing.
I’m not a Jessica Simpson fan (have neither wathced her on TV nor listened to her music), but there is something so pathetic about her I can’t hate her. She isn’t ‘playing’ at being a bimbo..she IS a bimbo…but, as several posters have pointed out, she is a sincere, decent bimbo.
I don’t love Jessica, I don’t hate Jessica. I think that Alexis and Diva gave a pretty fair assessement of what we see publically. She is struggling right now but she’s not stealing kids from other countries, she hasn’t shacked up with another girl and gone into denial about it or been caught at the airport with heroin. I do think, for the sake of good PR, she should not go to Tony’s games, the fans and his teammates don’t want it. She would be stupid to ignore the obvious. Other than that, she is dealing with love, loss, and career choices like the rest of us schmoes out here.
Her career is in the toilet by the looks of it. She probably had noplace else to go so thought she’d get into country music.
This girl will fade into obscurity before long….right? She’s a complete idiot and she aint all that. Most importantly, her “personality” is her biggest down fall. Her latest deffensive move against her rival made her look like even more of an idiot. Go girl, keep opening your mouth to embarrass yourself even more than you already have, geez. I saw her sing on the view (god I’m lame) and I didn’t think that she was all that bad. She’s not the best out there, but she does have a good voice…not one that was made on a mixing board.
Elisha – Thanks for looking that up. I also thought it sounded a bit weird that she would be ragging on Nick in concert. I think they both seem like they’ve moved on, and I’m sure she’s really grateful to him because he didn’t take her for half of her earnings during their marriage!
The jean thing was wayyy too tight on her. Her DDs are fit to burst. She is totally desperate and inane…let’s move on, shall we?

I haven’t heard her music but i have this feeling that if she keeps trying country fans will come to embrace her. whenever somebody tries to cross over into different genres the fans are like “what?” but they’ll come around.
I think jessica seems very sensitive and big-hearted & I dont think there is anything wrong with that.

I think that she needs intervention. Why must we cry? To continue to see these untalented winches? Britney and her make it hard for real talented people to really get the exposure they deserve. Not to mention she got into it with Carrie Underwood, who I simply adore and love….SMDH!!!

She seems to have a bad case of stage fright and an over the top stage daddy…I actually feel for the girl.. she is trying so hard to please a domineering father that she has never really grown up and taken her power as a woman. The fact that she reminds us of her perceived failures and mistakes is a sign that she is badly beating herself up on the inside (maybe her ‘manager’ fails to give her encouragement)… I have sympathy for her and actually regard her as more human than many of the egotistical fluffettes that pass for actresses and singers today.
She at least had a nice outfit!
