Rudy Giuliani sweated off his hair dye in yet another bonkers press conference

Giuliani Press Conference at RNC Headquarters

As you’ve seen in recent weeks, I’m struggling to convey the correct tone for what’s happening in this presidential transition. On one hand, I absolutely knew the transition would be bonkers when Joe Biden won, so I’m not really “surprised.” On the other hand, it’s really difficult to strike the correct tone of disgust, concern, nausea, disbelief, astonishment, hatred and utter bewilderment as literally the stupidest people in the country attempt a slow-motion coup with the full support of millions of dumbass Vanilla ISIS supporters.

So, here we are yet again: the Trump campaign’s legal efforts are being led by Rudy Giuliani, a former federal prosecutor who forgot how to lawyer. Rudy’s 2020 lawyering skills are basically standing in front of whatever microphone in various parking lots and screaming about voter fraud and My Cousin Vinny, all while something dark and brown leaks out of his head. I suspect that Rudy is so full of sh-t that it’s coming out of his pores. Either that or he used spray-in hair dye and he began sweating it off within seconds of standing in front of those hot lights.

Imagine, just for a moment, that ANY Democratic operative behaved this way. My God. Does it even matter what the Ghoul was even trying to say or do? From Reuters:

President Donald Trump’s strategy for retaining power despite losing the U.S. election is focused increasingly on persuading Republican legislators to intervene on his behalf in battleground states Democrat Joe Biden won, three people familiar with the effort said.

Having so far faced a string of losses in legal cases challenging the Nov. 3 results, Trump’s lawyers are seeking to enlist fellow Republicans who control legislatures in Michigan and Pennsylvania, which went for Trump in 2016 and for Biden in 2020, the sources said.

Michigan’s Republican House Speaker Lee Chatfield has said the person who wins the most votes will win the electoral votes of his state, where Trump trails by more than 150,000 votes. But Chatfield and Michigan’s Senate Majority Leader Mike Shirkey will on Friday visit the White House at the president’s request, a source in Michigan said, adding they were going to listen and see what Trump had to say.

Trump’s lawyers are seeking to take the power of appointing electors away from the governors and secretaries of state and give it to friendly state lawmakers from his party, saying the U.S. Constitution gives legislatures the ultimate authority. A person familiar with the campaign’s legal strategy said it has become a “more targeted approach towards getting the legislators engaged.”

A senior Trump campaign official told Reuters its plan is to cast enough doubt on vote-counting in big, Democratic cities that Republican lawmakers will have little choice but to intercede. The campaign is betting that many of those lawmakers, who come from districts Trump won, will face a backlash from voters if they refuse to act. The campaign believes the longer they can drag this out, the more they will have an opportunity to persuade lawmakers to intervene, the official said.

[From Reuters]

Just so we’re clear, elected Republicans at the state level cannot unilaterally decide to reject the will of their state’s voters on Donald Trump’s say-so. The whole point – theoretically – of letting Trump run to the courts was to see if there was any kind of cogent legal strategy by the Trump campaign, and to see if there really was any fraud or tampering. The consistent arguments from the Trump campaign is that “isn’t it suspicious that Black voters voted” and “please, Republicans, help me steal this election.” It’s batsh-t insane that this is where we are.

Oh, and of course Rudy made a My Cousin Vinny reference.

I would feel deep shame if I was a Trumper with these people representing me. But they are past that point.

This is just insanity. So many countries must be chomping at the bit to take advantage of the US with 70 million idiots ready to be mentally enslaved.

    • GuestWho says:

If they could feel shame, they wouldn’t be trump supporters.

    • velvet72 says:

They don’t feel shame because they truly believe everything these loons are saying. They believe that the Democrats stole the election. None of this is based on fact, they just hear it and believe it. It’s insane and terrifying.

  2. Sara says:

I feel deep shame as an American.

    • Seraphina says:

Me too Sara. I used to proudly say I was American when I was young girl and traveled. Not any more.

      • Duchess of Corolla says:

Count me in as well. I am so utterly sad and embarrassed for this country. I hope President Biden can help us back on track, though the tRumpets are probably too stupid for redemption.

  3. Untamed says:

    Pathetic Rudy, live stream. LOL

  4. Flamingo says:

How has he not been disbarred? I cannot understand how he is still allowed to practice law. I’m quite surprised that the NY state bar hasn’t found some reason to challenge his bar membership.

Edited to add: In other news, it appears @RudyGiuliani committed perjury in his pro hac vice petition to appear in MDPA today.
He is suspended from the DC Bar for non payment of dues.

    • anna says:

I’d like to know that, too.

      • Flamingo says:

Although it’s been years since I’ve stepped foot in a courthouse (I practice in my pajamas now), I’m pretty sure that if I yelled at a judge and then asked for martini bar suggestions, I’d be at least threatened with contempt. I had a friend held in contempt for wearing boat shoes to court in Florida where courtroom apparel is like one step above jeans.

      • CariBean says:

        @Flamingo, Monroe county by chance?

      • Flamingo says:

@caribean Nope, Hillsborough. He was at the Plant City courthouse in the middle of nowhere and was held in contempt for wearing boat shoes. He had to sit in what was basically a closet for hours while his paralegal drove a pair of dress shoes to him from Miami. He wore a 15W so it wasn’t like I could just go to Macy’s and buy him another pair.

  5. Chris says:

    That man is not well.

I’m not surprised that trump is trying to be a dictator, but I am disappointed at how many Republicans support his poorly attempted coup. I mean I knew some would. They’re always yelling about loving America and yet they’re trying to overturn the very point of it. The blatant attempt at trying to throw out black votes is just… so they’re not even pretending to hide it anymore huh?

  6. Darla says:

I’m completely amazed that no country has attacked us…yet. I mean, we are sitting ducks right now people.

    • Chris says:

They don’t even need to, we’re doing enough damage all on our own.

    • detritus says:

      For what tho?

Why would anyone attack the US? It would cause the next world war.

Canada doesn’t spend nearly the amount on military and we have never been attacked (well for a long long time)

      • Swack says:

We were attacked in 2001. Don’t call that a long time.

      • detritus says:

Terrorist attacks are a bit different and not what I meant, but sure.

We had another pandemic (SARS) more recently than 2001s terrorist attack (almost two decades ago now), and id say we’ve also had a few gender based terrorist attacks too (minassian)

I don’t think that’s what the OP meant tho, as Whitmer has been subject to terrorist attacks as of this year.

    • MissMarierose says:

We probably are, just not how you think.
      The greatest vulnerability is digital.

  7. Lenn says:

Also he blew his nosr in a tissue and then folded the tissue with snotside up and proceeded to wpie his entire face with it. It was absolutely disgusting.

  8. Melissa says:

Visual confirmation of the utter bullshit coming out of his mouth — excuse me sir, I can see the lies running down your face.

  9. lemonylips says:

That clip on twitter with the handkerchief! OMG!!! Spoiler alert: do not eat or have any beverages while watching this https://twitter.com/timjhogan/status/1329562651287023624

  10. Cassandra says:

Probably the remnants of his brain melting out his ears

  11. Chaine says:

That’s not hair dye. It’s brain diarrhea.

  12. Seraphina says:

I’m beginning to think whatever vaccine or COVID related meds they gave this group of minions has the side affect of: causing delusions, irrational thinking and severe brain trauma. Side note: may cause some to have a God like complex.

  13. Noodle says:

I read an interesting analysis about how if this circus goes on too long or starts to tank the economy, the Uber-wealthy business owners are going to start to apply pressure to shut it down. One group that Trump does NOT want to piss off are the rich, especially if they support him. I hadn’t considered that perspective, but it’s not wrong. Maybe those folks will be the only ones he’ll listen to.

    • Seraphina says:

What would also be interesting is if this circus and its clowns piss off the citizens of Georgia and thus result in the GOP losing the January election in Georgia to Dems. Now that would be hilarious.

      • Noodle says:

@seraphina, YES! With Raffensberger’s revelations about being pressured to throw away votes, to the two Republican candidates not helping themselves, it feels like something big is shifting.

    • Also Ali says:

Oh they intend to tank the economy on their way out. That’s a given.

The uber-wealthy have made out like bandits in 2020, they’ll be just fine, but come 2021 and beyond, the media will blame the Democrats and all the “socialist” programs and lazy workers for tanking the US economy, not the Republican party’s mishandling of the pandemic and refusal to address financial needs in 2020.

      • Tiffany :) says:

JP Morgan is saying the economy will contract and we will enter a recession Q1 2021, yet Mnuchin is pulling funds from the Fed’s emergency programs. They are intentionally tanking the economy so Biden will look bad, but they are actually engaging in a financial attack on the American people.

  14. Izzy says:

That freeze-frame from the video embedded above… isn’t he standing under a lot of lights? Why are his pupils so dilated? How many lines of blow did he do before this presser?

  15. cheche says:

This is why you don’t alienate your children/family. He has no one to save him from himself.

  16. Josie Bean says:

Even Fox’s Tucker Carlson is questioning what the hell is going on re: election fraud. He has called out Sidney Powell (an attorney who was with Rudy in his press conference) for claiming that the Election software, used by some states, had assigned Trump’s votes to Biden and Trump really should have had over 80 million votes and hence won the election. Carlson is asking Powell to show proof of her claims. I think more and more Republican elected officials are going to start publicly questioning these fraud claims because they are so serious.

I am very concerned at the consequences of these fraud claims.

    • Esmom says:

Yeah, it’s interesting that even Fox is not willing to go along with the insanity.

    • MsIam says:

Well now that Trump is bashing Fox News and telling his lunatic squad not to watch anymore, I guess he figures why be loyal to Trump. Plus Tucker Carlson is rumored to want to run for President in 2024 too. If that’s true the last thing he needs is Trumps tired lying ass hanging around. And by the way, what happened to Tuckers “evidence “ about Hunter Biden? Did his dog eat it?

    • Lorri says:

To be fair, the press conference is for the purpose of a statement about what they will prove in court. For Tucker Carlson to ask for proof at this stage of the game is pretty dumb. Proof is a matter for the courtroom, not a press conference. People really don’t understand legal stuff.

  17. Kcat says:

I saw a video on Reddit when he was at a press conference and pulled out a handkerchief to blow his nose. No biggie.

But then he folded it SNOT SIDE OUT and proceeded to rub his whole face with the snot-side of the handkerchief. During a pandemic. At a public event where he would be in close contact with his minions. I screamed.

  18. Liz version 700 says:

This is what happens when you are so vile as a person that no one is left in. Your life who will intervene when you go off the rails. This guy is so embarrassing on every level

  19. AnnaKist says:

Poor America. You’re all at the mercy of imbeciles. What next?!

    • Esmom says:

No kidding. I was just thinking this morning how I’m old enough to remember when intelligence was a quality we wanted from our elected officials. That learning and bettering yourself was a lifelong goal. That being a person of integrity was important. Now we see that those qualities mean nothing to so many people. I am literally sickened by all this.

As for what next, I don’t even want to know. I would love to think we have hit rock bottom with Trump but until we can get the rampant disinformation problem under control, I fear we will only continue to plummet further into this hellscape we are in.

      • BeanieBean says:

I work at a federal agency and have learned those lessons the hard way this past year; integrity, honesty, hard work & qualifications–all meaningless.

  20. Salmonpuff says:

I am sick of this nonsense. The mom in me is itching to send everyone to their rooms without their phones to think about what they’ve done. Except their rooms should be in prison.

  21. Linda says:

I read he’s an alcoholic. That could explain some of his behaviour but not all of it. And, even though he is a dreadful person I still feel sorry for him dripping hair dye everywhere. How embarrassing.

    • MsIam says:

It’s what he deserves, he trying to steal our rights from us. I hope he goes to prison right along with Trump.

  22. Jennifer says:

I feel like he and Don JR might share the same dealer at this point.

  23. Anilehcim says:

Giuliani is insane. Does no one love him? Every time I see him on TV, I think to myself “where the fuck is his family?” This guy is NOT right in his mind. I can’t even believe that anyone is taking him seriously.

Nothing Trump does at this point makes any difference because the seed has been planted. He has managed to convince millions of Americans that he was the only thing holding this country together, that they’re doomed because the election was “stolen,” and that the system cannot be trusted. He has planted the seed that no one can be trusted except for him and his allies, and now there are claims being made that he’s going to be starting his own news network. This is absolute insanity that I do not think the US has ever seen before.

I had an uncle who used to talk about how this country was headed for a civil war after Trump was elected, and I would roll my eyes and scoff. Would anyone be surprised at this point, though? Trump’s one shining accomplishment is that he completely divided this country in a way that it hasn’t been divided in centuries and I think it’s only going to get worse. Trump flags will remain up for years to come, just like the confederate flags. It’s like a cult at this point.

    • Lady D says:

Seventy million believe him, which means approximately 265 million Americans don’t. Those are good odds. I have faith your country will recover, it was less than four years ago you were considered the greatest country on earth.

  24. jferber says:

Lady D, I think that number will go down as the shit show progresses. Laughably horrific, but more and more horrific it will become. That awful nightmare soon to be ex president will not back down. He is a delusional would-be dictator and more Repubs than Mitt Romney need to speak out against this threat to national security and sanity.

  25. Delphine says:

Every time I see these pics of him with the dye dripping down I want to throw up. It’s so freaking gross and disgusting looking. Ugh. 🤢🤮
