Megan Fox & Machine Gun Kelly really do drink ‘a few drops’ of each other’s blood

Megan Fox covers the current issue of Glamour UK, which is entirely digital at this point. Megan is… a lot. She’s really feeling herself these days, and more power to her, honestly. Her career is back on the upswing, she’s happier than she’s ever been, she’s engaged to her “twin flame” Machine Gun Kelly. It’s all happening. This Glamour piece is LONG and there are parts of it which I won’t even touch, like the parts about her kids. She talks about so much, so I’m focusing on the “I was ahead of Me Too” and “blood-drinking” parts of the interview. Some highlights:

On Me Too: “I think that I was ahead of the #MeToo movement by almost a decade. I was always speaking out against some of the abusive, misogynistic, patriarchal things that were going on in Hollywood back in 2008 and 2009, way before people were ready to embrace that or tolerate it. And I actually got ridiculed for doing it. I think people just have had time to review that, in retrospect.”

She suffered a “psychological breakdown”: “I wasn’t allowed to be a human, because I was a topic of conversation and gossip and punch lines… I was essentially in hiding for several years of my life…I think the first time around, when I was dealing with astronomical levels of fame, that in itself is a type of trauma.”

On social media: “I have social media, but I don’t personally use it. I have somebody who posts for me and I decide what I want to say, but I think it’s sinister. I think it’s evil.”

She’s never felt welcome in the feminist community: “I’ve never felt completely included in the feminist community and I do still think that it’s tricky in an awful way. Whatever I provoke in them is not something that they can digest very well. And so that comes back on me, as they reject me for those reasons. And I just don’t think that I was a very sympathetic victim.”

She feels judged: “[It seems] I have to meet a certain requirement or follow all of these rules. It’s very bizarre to get judged for, like, ‘What if I am in a BDSM relationship? And I’m like, yes – is that OK with you? Because that’s what I want.’ So, I shouldn’t be outcast from the feminist community, because that is something that I prefer for myself. I feel sexual power in that way, by experiencing it that way. I was being celebrated as being a feminist until I had the nerve to call my boyfriend, ‘Daddy.’ And a lot of people got upset about that, which I think is a funny conversation to actually have, because that goes into allowing women to be… women. Allowing us to experience what we want in life, what we like. That is feminism.”

Megan & MGK drink each other’s blood: “Yeah. So, I guess to drink each other’s blood might mislead people or people are imagining us with goblets and we’re like Game of Thrones, drinking each other’s blood. It’s just a few drops, but yes, we do consume each other’s blood on occasion for ritual purposes only.

She’s into astrology: “I’m much more controlled. I read tarot cards and I’m into astrology and I’m doing all these metaphysical practices and meditations. And I do rituals on new moons and full moons, and all these things. And so, when I do [drink blood], it’s a passage or it is used for a reason. And it is controlled where it’s like, ‘Let’s shed a few drops of blood and each drink it.’ He’s much more haphazard and hectic and chaotic, where he’s willing to just cut his chest open with broken glass and be like, ‘Take my soul.’”

She thinks she manifested MGK: “He’s literally my exact physical type that I’ve been manifesting since I was four. I’m also four years older than him. So, I think I made him. My thoughts and intentions grew him into the person that he is, who knows what he would’ve looked like or been like if it wasn’t for me.”

[From Glamour UK]

To be clear, I think Megan has every right to feel many of those grievances and she was ahead of the curve on Me Too and speaking out about how powerful Hollywood men treated her. She was also treated like a dumb, talentless bimbo when really… she’s just a bit weird, try-hard and a wannabe provocateur. Hollywood turned on her in her mid-20s and it must have been f–king awful for her. But I also think Megan just talks a lot of sh-t and she always has! Even in this piece, when some of her awful old quotes were brought up, Megan was like “people just don’t get my sense of humor!” Hon, you talked SO MUCH sh-t!! Anyway, blood-drinking, sorcery, Tarot, crying in a bathtub on every new moon… it’s a lot, but bless her heart.

She strikes me as someone that never figured herself out and is coping. Hollywood does that to young actors with no support systems.

    That last photo looks bad.

  2. JFerber says:

Well, she says interesting things, even if weird and it’s refreshing to hear outside the box statements/theories. I like the last picture and the nails, which look good on her. I just don’t see how I could open a can of dog food with nails like that, but then someone like Cynthia Erivo would just say she can do stuff better with long nails, so who knows?

  3. Bettyrose says:

From a feminist perspective I have no issue with consensual BDSM and I’ve always sort of routed for Meghan. I’m glad she’s doing well and enjoying life. I understand why she feels betrayed by feminism after the Spielberg incident. I’d love to have a real conversation with her about it. Hollywood feminism is so complicated. I don’t agree that feminism is about just doing whatever TF you want because your actions do impact other women, but bodily and legal autonomy- the right to do whatever TF you want- is the foundation of feminism. So I agree with her on that point. She’s living her best life after being absolutely objectified and then vilified in Hollywood.

  4. emmi says:

Is there a feminist community? I never know who people are talking about. Is it activists? Journalists? I consider myself a feminist and the women around me do as well but we all look at it slightly differently even if we agree on the basics.

This might not be a popular comment but yeah, when you’re young it’s sometimes hard to see gorgeous women have a career that is at least partly based on their conventionally beautiful looks (she really is gorgeous) and make money off of the beauty standards that are entirely about the male gaze. So you benefit from one of the problems women deal with in this society. It’s hard to watch because how do you think that moves women forward? The older I got the more I understood that it’s much more complicated than that and she and other women are just making their way through life and it doesn’t mean that everything is great for them. Or that they aren’t feminists.

But when you’re 16 or 22, it can be tough. That’s not her fault and yeah, she is right, she was not a sympathetic victim. I remember the media being much nicer to her once she became a wife and mother.

    • Bettyrose says:

You captured that really well. That’s what I mean that Hollywood feminism is complicated. Success as a young actress is tied to sexuality, being desired by the male gaze. And while most of us who identify as feminist do cater to some degree to the male gaze because we’re human and enjoy being considered desirable, it’s not the insanely complex balance that actresses have to maintain between being desired and respected. They can speak out against it. But they have to give in to it or not have careers.

    • Cherry says:

Thanks for your well-put comment, Emmi. I think you could argue that there is a feminist community consisting of journalists, publicists, writers and content creators on social media. And I can certainly believe that she was attacked by feminists- not because she was in a BDSM relationship (that’s just her being faux-provocative, IMO- like, who cares) but because she represents the stereotype of what men think women should look like and behave like (young, pretty, thin, sexy, dumb). But I agree with you- it’s not fair to hold that against *her*. She’s a symptom, not the cause. We should be attacking toxic men who created this world, not the women who are profiting off it (which, let’s be fair, is what she is doing).

    • Otaku fairy says:

Good point. Another part of the problem is that people tend to hyperfocus on only one part of the male gaze- females turning males on. That creates a sort of tunnel vision where people just conveniently go after women and girls who are already acceptable targets in a world tainted by men’s religions, misogynistic rage, and a ‘boys will be boys’ mentality. People struggle to recognize the male gaze in our need to performatively distance ourselves and females we respect/care about from from those women, in the need to see those women punished and isolated, and in the attempts to make it socially dangerous to say something when those women are being treated in a way that is wrong. It leaves almost no room for young women to stand up to modesty. It also creates a try-hard tendency to give all criticism of certain women this unearned benefit of the doubt. It had gotten to a point where we could be almost as vile and toxic as we felt like about them and say, “Because Male Gaze. End of Discussion.”

      • emmi says:

I’m in my late 30s and still need to remind myself that a woman on a magazine or wherever is not my problem.

The main problem I have is that we can’t seem to manage a discussion about these issues that isn’t tainted by the male gaze and confined by patriarchal structures. I don’t know how to truly achieve equality within those structures and I don’t think it’s going to move us forward to try. I guess … burn it all down first? I’m only half joking. Right now it seems like – as you said – almost impossible to say things like “I just don’t like to show too much skin.” without someone feeling attacked. Girl, no. You wear those shorts but that’s not me. As if everything you are for is an attack on someone else. It’s exhausting.

    • Silent Star says:

I came here to ask about this “feminist community”. Like is there some kind of club I don’t know about? I’m a staunch feminist, but I’ve always thought of it as a set of values that we inhabit rather than a community.

I get the feeling that Megan has been hurt by other women. I believe they have judged her. She thinks it’s because they’re feminists. She mistrusts them. I get it.

She’s a bit misguided but I can’t help but like her. She’s been through a lot with regard to her identity and being accepted, and I think she’s still going through a lot of growth that isn’t done yet. I love the way she doesn’t try to fit in. I also think she and MGK are super hot together and I’m rooting for them!

  5. Arizona says:

honestly… I think she’s pretty try hard and ridiculous, but I also don’t think she’s terribly smart or talented either. I think she was treated absolutely horribly years ago, but I don’t think she’s secretly this intelligent talent that we all missed.

mostly it’s just sad to me that her and MGK are parents in their thirties. they come across as that try hard goth couple who are 22 and still trying to shock people.

    • Sam says:

This!!!! Yes. The try-hard goth couple trying to shock the world that eventually grow up and move on and THEN become parents. I think Meghan being with BAG for so long was really detrimental to her psychological maturity. She became a step-mom and then a mother to their children so young, she never really got the chance to go through this phase. So now she’s doing it in her 30’s and it just looks sad.

    • MF says:

I agree. I think she was treated horribly, was subjected to a ton of misogyny, and is owed an apology by a lot of people.

However, I have read/seen her interviews and I’ve watched her act. She’s not bright and she’s not a stand-out talent. There are plenty of *really* smart actresses in Hollywood. She’s not one of them.

    • Luna17 says:

Agree! She isn’t a great talent or that intelligent, she says things to get attention and that she thinks sounds smart. Her plastic surgery obsession kind of took her looks away and gave her that tight, generic look and she can’t even move her face. She shouldn’t be treated poorly of course but it’s not like she is this amazing talent the world dismisses.

    • frenchtoast says:

She’s not a great actress, but I don’t think she’s this dumb bimbo that the media portrayed her as.

  6. K-Peace says:

WOW how narcissistic, self-obsessed, and self-important is this person?!🙄 She thinks that MGK exists in the way that he is because SHE, through her special powers or some shit, made him that way???😳 She really thinks she’s something ultra special, to such extremes that she’s totally gone off the deep end.

    • Jules says:

This^. It is typical New Age BS. Special snowflakes with the magical thinking of a 5 year old.

  7. NCWoman says:

If I remember correctly, the issue some people had (I don’t see it as a feminist community lol) was a 35-year-old woman calling her BF Daddy on the red carpet when explaining that he told her she would be naked that night. Key words: on the red carpet. I don’t think anyone cared about consensual BDSM in private. But things were already looking bad for women last year, and so a public “Daddy told to what to wear (or not)” moment grated on a few nerves.

    • Marie says:

Especially when that same woman was groomed and abused by a man who wanted to control her. I think a healthy chunk of what she saw as backlash was people pointing out she was being abused and exploited AND SHE WAS. Bay did it. BAG did it. And people called it out. They didn’t do it well, but that was what was driving it.

I think Megan would benefit from therapy to work through some of this.

      • Otaku fairy says:

I don’t remember seeing the backlash to her dress. But if people were using her past struggles as a reason for why it’s not ok for her to get pleasure from putting on a sexy outfit for a guy she’s happily banging now, that’s wrong too. If what she was doing was more in line with the ‘classy’ side of the male gaze and somebody attributed her wanting to keep it classy/not put out to that past, there’d be outrage.

  8. Mina_Esq says:

None of what she is saying here is healthy.

    • kelleybelle says:

I agree, and I take them about as seriously as I do Pete Davidson and Kim K, or Kourtney and Travis. Hell, Bennifer too.

  9. Bash says:

She has the same personality as a lot of young girls I meet at music festivals who are trying really hard to be “deep”. They’ve been talking about the same astrology, rituals and manifesting concepts for years, pretty much word for word. It’s a whole thing, but it’s just not mainstream, so I guess it seems kind of shocking or groundbreaking to some when Megan puts it out there. She’s not very intelligent or educated. Not that she has to be, but she sure does talk like she knows everything there is to know about life, and it’s cringeworthy.
I think the whole MGK relationship is a phase that will blow up eventually, which is fine, but everything she’s putting out there will end up sounding embarrassing. She comes across as very self-absorbed.

  10. Yo says:

As much as I agree with her on a lot of her points, she still using “pick me behavior” with “I’m not like other girls or other feminists” or whatever which is completely rooted in patriarchy! And she had no problem cashing checks for the last decades from that same system? She’s not helping anybody. And what way is she even a feminist? Maybe for herself. And likeLike who is she even talking about what feminist groups? There is no feminist group lol

    • Bash says:

Well said. I’ve also noticed that she’s always acted like a “pick me” or “cool” girl to try to stand out above the rest, so it’s hard to get on board with her, even though I agree with some of her points as well.

    • Otaku fairy says:

There almost certainly are areas in life where she has been the pick me (I don’t know enough about her to point to anything specific), but her discussing how she has been treated by feminists for not having the ‘right’ image and talking about her breakdown isn’t really an example of that. The truth of the matter is that there are many women and girls on the left with horror stories of that nature, and her treatment is isn’t even the worst example of it. Some feminists are willing to reward the right for targeting younger liberal women who criticize them for any of it too- even someone like Milo Yiannopolis.
Also, male entertainers talk about their experiences with homophobia, racism, mental health issues, etc., while still cashing in on the same flawed industries these female entertainers do. So I’m not bothered by women continuing to do the same.

  11. olliesmom says:

If her goal was to score magazine covers and get a bunch of free publicity for coming out and saying this she met her goal.

  12. Ameerah says:

This is the woman who had her Marilyn Monroe tattoo removed because she felt Marilyn had negative energy. But sure hun…drink uour dude’s blood. That’s TOTALLY normal and healthy. 🙄
That comment about Marilyn has stuck with me and made me dislike her. It was rooted in misogyny which is ironic when talking about how she was treated in Hollywood and she misogyny she has encountered.

Also ….wtf has she done other than date MGK that warrants this much attention lately??

  13. Jananell says:

“Bless her heart”… Oh Keiser I love you. You from the south sugar? 🤪🧡

  14. Mabs A'Mabbin says:

    That’s some article.

  15. Case says:

I’m of two minds about Megan. I think she seems like a thoughtful person who is genuinely invested in her spirituality and a good mom, but I also think she exaggerates stuff to be, as others have said, a “pick me” girl.

I do like her and MGK together, though. I like him separately and think they seem like a truly good match.

  16. Otaku fairy says:

Ew. That’s gross. She probably ruffled a few Crisshun feathers with all of this too. Oh well. The Byeble is a heavenly source of toilet paper.

  17. BeanieBean says:

Is this just another way of her saying, ‘women don’t like me ’cause I’m too pretty’?
