It’s sort of amazing how Rita Ora & Taika Waititi feel so overexposed, and yet they’re really not everywhere constantly at this point. This is their first red carpet together in several months, and yet when they popped up at the Emmys, there was a collective groan of “not this again.” Anyway, these are photos of Rita and Taika at the Emmys and then at one of the after-parties (the black lace dress). Rita’s pink Emmy look was by Tamara Ralph. It’s actually a really great dress.
Kristen Wiig wore Oscar de la Renta. It’s okay? Kind of disco-ball chic.
Da’Vine Joy Randolph wore Sophie Couture to the Emmys. I love this? I usually don’t enjoy yellow, but she looks amazing.
Christine Baranski wore Oscar de la Renta. This was insane. She looks magnificent and noble.
Love Viola Davis, but this Zuhair Murad dress feels very Project Runway.

I seriously don’t think I’ve ever seen Rita Ora wear something that DOESN’T look kinda cheap. Does she have bad taste, or does she, herself just make things look tacky?
Kristen Wiig made me think “disco pineapple”, and I kinda loved it? Probably my favorite of the night, honestly.
I actually liked Rita’s pink look. I thought it was one of her better looks. Did not care for the after party dress though.
Kristen’s dress made me think of those old silver popcorn containers that puff up as the popcorn pops.
Randolph and Baranski both looked incredible. I couldn’t decide how I felt about Wiig’s dress. I was only seeing pictures, not live feed, so I though maybe it was better in motion?
The Cruella DeVille look was big last night. I didn’t really care for it on anyone.
Did Rita do something to her face, or is it just the pose/lighting/makeup? The pink is nice, but the black looks like it was chewed by hamsters. Christine is regal.

What happened to Rita’s music career?There was a time they said she was coming for Rihannas throne. She really failed to launch even with Jay Zs backing.
I hope she’s ok. She doesn’t seem well. She is talented, in my opinion, and was put through the meat grinder of the music business so I can imagine that had an effect. I genuinely hope she is happy and healthy where she is now.
I worry about her too. Or used to I guess.
She seems very much in her healing and happy and healthy era. May she continue to flourish and grow.
I love Tiaka and I don’t know why everyone is tired of him / them. I think they are amazing. He does seem like he would be a lot to be married to but he seems (and is I hope) more low key in his private life. Although I do love his open arms approach to life. Very aspirational.
Kristen Wiig’s dress both looks like a foil muffin cup and also is totally amazing + she looks great.

Rita looked a mess as usual. Kristen looked great (though I think the design would have worked better had the gown been fitted instead of a ballgown). Christine’s dress was STUNNING. Da’Vine looked amazing. And I agree about Viola’s dress – Zuhair Murad makes amazing dresses – this wasn’t one of them.
