In the Princess of Wales’s weekend appearance at the Six Nations rugby match, she did not wear Big Blue, her large sapphire engagement ring. There was likely a technical and weather-related reason for Big Blue’s absence in Wales – it was apparently pretty cold and she wore gloves for the game. But when Kate and William were meeting injured rugby players, Kate removed her gloves and revealed that she was wearing her wedding band and her “new” sapphire-and-diamond eternity band. At the St. Patrick’s Day parade, Kate wore gloves for the entirety of the parade and shamrock-passing-out. She removed her gloves when drinking a pint with the Irish Guards, and magically, Big Blue appeared!
Y’all know I’ve never been a huge fan of “ring watch,” but it does feel notable that Big Blue is being regularly kept at home, and that it’s big news when Kate does wear Diana’s iconic ring. It also feels notable that all of this started in 2024 after Kate went missing for months – even in that hacked-together Mother’s Day frankenphoto, Kate wasn’t wearing the sapphire (or any ring at all). Once she started making semi-regular appearances, the disappearance of Big Blue became more of a talking point – it was also missing in that bizarre “cancer-free” video, missing in Southport and missing in William and Kate’s Olympics video. Kate’s fans have been complaining about the missing ring too and they wonder why she’s so insistent on wearing that eternity band instead of Big Blue.
One of my theories is that Kate is trying to do a “ring stack” like you-know-who. But I also think that something shifted and, for whatever reason, Kate’s feelings about that ring changed and she simply doesn’t care about wearing it that much anymore. I don’t believe the other theory that William is telling her when she can and cannot wear the ring – I truly don’t believe he cares one bit. This is all Kate, imo. It’s interesting that she made a point of bringing the ring to wear on St. Patrick’s Day once she removed her gloves – it only appears in a couple of photos.

No circulation in her hands because she’s not eating enough. I know from experience. And no, it’s not reynauds. My mom has reynauds and it looks different. You get white blotches on the finger tips.
Tbf, her hands can be that way due to say, chemo or a circulation disease–I mentioned them in the other post. She’s not healthy.
Big Blue: it was always loose, but it’s spinning on her finger in that shot. Potentially, she’s limiting when it’s worn, so it doesn’t accidentally fall off her finger. However, given this family, her suspicious lack of new clothing in recent years, and her very carefully curated appearances, I’m inclined to believe someone is telling her when she’s allowed to wear that ring.
her hands look red and chapped. too much hand washing? not a circulatory problem, they look well perfused. possibly some form of neuropathy, which is a not uncommon side effect of chemo-many of the more commonly used agents cause it and can produce intolerable pain and tingling in the hands and feet.
(I’m going with the “she underwent chemo” for the purposes of this comment)
Kudos to her dermatologist, the face fillers are doing their job.
As for Big Blue, I’d hate to wear any piece of jewelry so much identified with another person.
She needs hand cream.
The press and royalists made a big fuss about Meghan not wearing her engagement only for Kate to do the same. Kate’s made her fans and the press look like fools.
So she had some flunkie bring Big Blue to put on for a few money shots? That’s so weird. She never seems to take off her coat and scarf these days. I suspect that scarf is to hide her neck and the coat is to give her body some bulk. It makes her look like she’s got one foot out the door at all times. How is she not sweating bullets? I would boil under all of that fabric indoors. I imagine it’s because she has no body fat bc she’s ill (but not from cancer).
Agree that’s it’s probably a side effect of her thinness. I had the same when suffering from anorexia in my twenties.
To be fair to her the UK weather has been unusually cold for this time of year. Definitely scarf weather.
I also wouldn’t want to wear a ring so closely associated with someone else, and with their famously doomed and unhappy union. Perhaps it should just have gone on display in the Tower.
Thought that the moment it was announced that Willy had given her Diana’s ring.I thought it was weird and even more weird that she had accepted it.Then I am not surprised, she just accepts anything Willy throws at her, she is scared in case he finishes with her which means she will never be Queen
I agree that this is Kate alone, trolling who knows why or what. No one else in her circle gives a rats ass about the ring. Game playing like the 43 year old adult she is.
I agree with everything you just said..
Yeah, that sounds about right.
She looks rough.
PSA : Put on your hands the products you use on your face (retinol, vitamine C, rich moisturizer with ceramides, etc.).
Your hands will always give your age away.
Most women at age 43 who have not done manual labour don’t have hands like Kate. She’s been underweight for well over a decade and that’s why they look like that. Zero fat makes hands look old because there is already little body fat in that area.
Kaiser, I wish you lived in Ireland purely so I could get your assistance on the gallery wall I’m planning for my bedroom. Outstanding photos as always 🤣
