King Charles attended a documentary premiere & claimed that he’s feeling ‘great’

Ever since Prince Harry’s BBC interview came out last Friday, the British press has ramped up a spectacularly unhinged propaganda campaign, the likes of which puts North Korea to shame. Everyone over there has been particularly focused on Harry’s comment that he doesn’t know how much time his father has left. Charles and the press want to focus on that rather than the fact that Charles removed the Sussexes’ security as punishment. “How dare Harry suggest that Charles doesn’t have much time left” has been a popular talking point by the palace. All of which to say, King Charles staggered out to a premiere last night and I swear he looks much older than the 99-year-old David Attenborough.

The King has said that he is feeling “great” as he attended the premiere of Sir David Attenborough’s new film in central London. Charles was among the attendees at the Royal Festival Hall for a showing of Ocean With David Attenborough, a feature-length film by Attenborough on how the seas have changed in his lifetime.

Wearing a black tie, the King, a lifelong environmentalist, walked the blue carpet before heading inside, where he met the veteran broadcaster.

“How are you, Sir?” one person asked the King as he walked into the upstairs bar area, to which His Majesty replied: “I’m great.”

He was then introduced to Attenborough and his daughter, Susan, and they talked animatedly as they had their photographs taken before heading into the auditorium to watch the film. The King asked the Blue Planet maker about his 99th birthday, which Attenborough confirmed is on Thursday, the day of the film’s release. Charles remarked in response: “I can’t believe it.”

[From The Times]

First of all, I guess Camilla didn’t feel like wrapping herself in a glittery horse tarp and guzzling champagne at a premiere? Why didn’t Camilla go too, I’m just asking. As for the state of Charles these days… I’ve gone back and forth on his appearance, since we don’t really know (and the palace isn’t saying). For much of this year, I’ve thought that Charles’s color has improved and he looked like his health had turned a corner for the better. But these photos… I don’t know if it’s the flash or the lighting, but he’s back to looking mealy and rheumy eyed.

Hi Theo James, what a snack you are!

Back to topic: If Charles is still having weekly cancer treatments for over a year now and there is no talk of remission or anything similar…I can’t help but think it’s a bad sign. And yes, he looks particularly pasty here but maybe the premiere was too close to one of his treatments?

I’m not surprised Camilla didn’t go but this would have been the perfect father-son, king-heir outing for Charles and William, no? Given that they’re both such huge fans of Sir David? Hmm….

    • somebody says:

Or an outing with one of his grandchildren, since he is such a wonderful grandparent.

    • AMTC says:

Theo James – be still my beating heart.

    • Becks1 says:

I agree with Kaiser i thought he looked better this past fall/winter but here he looks pasty and wiped out again. Maybe the timing just is off for a treatment?

  2. Swaz says:

How old is Charles anyway, he looks like his mother’s age when she passed 😒

  3. Beverley says:

    He looks ghastly.
May everything he planned for Harry manifest in his own life.

    • Chrissy says:

Well, I’m not really religious but if there is a God, here’s hoping that Charles gets his just reward for what was done to Diana and the Sussexes. He deserves no less.

    • Hypocrisy says:

He sure does look like a walking corpse.. with the desperation of the “he is doing great” propaganda the palace is briefing I would be surprised if he lives to see the end of the year.

      • BeanieBean says:

They’re so ridiculous! They take Charles’ ‘I’m great’ & change it to ‘suck it, Harry!’ and ‘how dare you, Harry!’. Just utterly ridiculous! 🙄

  4. Tessa says:

He aged a lot. His father looked better when he was Charles’ age. Charles feels no guilt about the way he treats his son. William is the one ranting about “when he is king…” Yet nothing said to criticize pegs

    • Liz-L says:

The only reason he and Camilla can turn up to any of these events is the army of servants who cater to their every need and prop them up. Neither of them are in good health and time and tide waits for no man. Royalty is no exception.

    • WheresMyTiara says:

Cluck and Huevo are both looking much older than their chronological years. So are their wives.

It’s true what they say; hate ages a b*tch… Hell, look at Ingrid and Penny.

  5. Helen says:

“Wrap herself in a glittery horse tarp” absolutely killed me! That’s all I’ve got.

  6. WheresMyTiara says:

    Horse tarp…. lmao

When Chucklehead “looks improved” in photos, guaranteed it’s down to makeup, lighting, and copious amounts of photoshop.

I think the release of these washed out images of him are interesting; why would his sycophantic press release them while decrying Harry’s comment?

I think they’re trying to goad Cluck, possibly. VE Day coverage didn’t sell for them because Haz wasn’t on the balcony. It’s hard to tell, I think the press themselves don’t know whether to stand up or sit down; they want to keep writing about this imaginary grievance war between Chuck and Harry, but at the same time they KNOW that Harry is “box office gold”, he’s the draw – not his twisted father.

Rather painted your stupid arses into a corner, haven’t you, Rota rodents?

  7. Blogger says:

Attenborough looks healthy and hale compared to Chuck. I think the former will outlive the latter.

  8. Tn Democrat says:

Charles was always a clothes horse and meticulously dressed and groomed. He looks disheveled with his bow tie crooked and his tuxedo not well fitted. He really looks unwell with his swollen fingers and strange skintone. Odd that Meghan and Harry are supposed to be joined at the hip, but it doesn’t raise eyebrows that Camilla skips events like this. This seems like a fun event. I think a lot of the perceived improvement in his appearance is due to make-up, good lighting and carefully edited pics.

  9. Paulkid says:

Charles of the crooked crown, crooked bow tie, crooked soul.

  10. Mads says:

He’s terminally ill. The weekly chemo treatments are to keep things at bay, which is not a long term solution.

I think William’s action at Easter points to a complete drain of authority; he knows his time to ascend is imminent. I’m surprised Charles was able to coerce him into attending the pope’s funeral tbh and think the Prime Minister’s Office probably had to exert some extra persuasion.

  11. Lala11_7 says:

I was reading an article earlier on how DEPLORABLE the Queens Estate Housing is in Bristol & those pictures are 😱💔😢…Perhaps Charles et al should work on THAT instead of…whatever TF this is…😡

  12. Amy Bee says:

If he’s still have weekly treatments as the press says, then he’s not doing great.

  13. Dylan says:

I know that look. Had it after my sixth round of chemotherapy.

    • Jaded says:

I’m on my 3rd round…the first two nearly killed me but this one seems to be going much better. That said my energy is really low. I’m surprised he gets out and about as much as he does while the Rotweiler whiffs on most events.

      • therese says:

Glad to hear you are doing better. May you continue to have an easier time of it and many blessings along the way.

  14. maisie says:

Charles has aged a decade in the last 2 years. look at his pics around the coronation and compare to now. he seems to be wearing makeup a lot, probably to hide the pallor.

He’s been on “chemo” for more than a year, meaning whatever cancer he has, it’s not curable and the chemo he’s taking is to try to keep it in check. He might have a year, maybe 2, but not likely more. they days when his color and vigor are better I’m guessing he’s had a blood transfusion.

  15. Sharon says:

Harry said out loud what everyone is thinking “I don’t know how much time he has left” because the man has cancer, is still continuing treatment, and no one has told Harry or the public anything about what cancer it is. I think its prostate.

    • Worktowander says:

My money is on MDS. Explains the weekly treatments – blood transfusions instead of and/or in addition to chemo. They can keep you going a long time that way, but it’s not pretty. Source: Nursed my dad through it until the end.

      • Libra says:

I’m not so sure about MDS. It refers to blood cells from bone marrow. Original reporting was that it was found as a result of his prostate surgery, so I assume it was something they could see and identify, not the lab results. Sorry about your dad. Blessings to you for nursing him through.

  16. NotSoSocialB says:

Chuck is about the same color as a dust-covered bottle of Elmer’s glue.

  17. QuiteContrary says:

Rheumy is the best description of how his eyes look. He looks ready to shed his mortal coil, for sure.

  18. Sean says:

Whether karma or the hand of God, Charles looks horrible.
He deserves this for his behavior toward a young wife he did not protect as he swore to do.
God does not like kings who forget sworn oaths.
His behavior with Harry has been disgusting but his behavior toward that son’s wife has been repulsive.
God does not like men who fail their sons.
