Shiloh Jolie choreographed a dance at Isabel Marant’s launch event in LA

In recent years, Shiloh Jolie has made some quiet moves. On her 18th birthday, she hired a lawyer and filed to change her legal name, dropping the “Pitt” surname entirely. She apparently goes by “Shi/Shy” these days, although her legal name is still Shiloh, and her mother has always called her Shi as a nickname. In addition to all of that, Shiloh is a very talented dancer. Every so often, one of Shiloh’s dance videos goes viral, and I think she’s fully committed to dance as a career/job at this point. It doesn’t look like she plans to go to college, although it’s possible that she’s involved in dance classes in the LA area. Well, here’s an update on Shiloh’s career path – she was hired to choreograph a dance for Isabel Marant’s LA event.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s daughter Shiloh Jolie made an unexpected appearance at a dinner Thursday night in Los Angeles that celebrated the launch of French designer Isabel Marant’s capsule collection with Net-A-Porter.

But Shiloh wasn’t simply a guest at the fashionable soiree. Using the name Shi, she choreographed a sometimes steamy number by dancers Keoni Rose and Tako Suzuki that accompanied singer-songwriter Luella’s performance of her recently released single “Naïve.”

The dinner took place in the backyard of the Oliver House, a private residence designed by R.M. Schindler in the 1930s that overlooks the Silver Lake reservoir. Shiloh made a brief appearance at the cocktail hour before retreating into the home to hang with her dancers.

Guests included former “Mad Men” co-stars Allison Brie and January Jones, Rachel Bilson, Lily Rabe, Stephanie Suganami, Madeline Brewer and models Dree Hemingway, Ever Anderson, Hilary Rhoda and Salem Mitchell. Milla Jovovich – who served as a co-host – attended with her look-a-like model daughter Anderson.

This is such a cool little project for a 19-year-old? Like… she choreographed a dance for a live musical performance at a private event for a designer’s capsule collection launch. I hope no one argues “she’s taking the job of a normal choreographer!” Please, we don’t even know how she got this gig or what the backstory is. I really do wonder if this is what she wants to do with her life and career though – dance, choreography, perhaps anything behind the scenes.

Shiloh is really talented! I feel like she has it the hardest of the Jolie kids, as she’s wearing both of her parents’ faces around all the time. There is no anonymity for her.
