Vanessa Hudgens is expecting her second baby with husband Cole Tucker

Last July, Vanessa Hudgens and Cole Tucker welcomed their first child. The baby is reportedly a boy, but Vanessa and Cole have never officially confirmed their child’s sex, birthday, or name. Vanessa has understandably been laying low over the last year, but she is still fairly active on Instagram, where she promotes her projects. Right now, she’s been heavily promoting Caliwater, a brand of cactus water that she co-founded. Last week, she shared that she’d just finished filming Quiet Storm, a movie set during Hurricane Camille in 1969. That wasn’t the end of her exciting updates, though! On Saturday, Vanessa and Cole announced in joint Instagram posts that they’re expecting their second child!

Vanessa Hudgens and her husband, Cole Tucker, are expecting their second baby.

“Round two!!!!,” Hudgens, 36, wrote via Instagram on Saturday, July 12, announcing the news by sharing a carousel of maternity photos.

In the snaps, Hudgens and Tucker, 29, twinned in white as they posed outside. The MLB star jokingly pointed to his wife’s bare baby bump.

Hudgens and Tucker’s celebrity friends toasted the forthcoming arrival in the comments.

“Omg!!!!!!!! Congrats,” fellow Disney Channel alum Aly Michalka replied, while Allison Holker and Alexandra Shipp each sent a flurry of red heart emojis.

Jenna Dewan, for her part, added, “Ohhhhh congratulations my love!!”

Hudgens’ former Broadway costar Corey Cott also responded, commenting, “Congrats V!”

Nearly two weeks before sharing her pregnancy news, Hudgens called Tucker her “best friend” in a birthday tribute.

“Happy birthday to my best friend/lover/partner in life,” she wrote via Instagram on July 3. “@cotuck you’re everything to meeeeeee. No one does it better.”

Tucker, for his part, replied, “You’re the best mama thank you ❤️.”

The High School Musical star and Tucker have been together since fall 2020, meeting over a Zoom-led meditation session. They tied the knot three years later in an intimate ceremony held in Tulum, Mexico.

Congratulations to Vanessa and Cole! Vanessa did a Caliwater post in early May that had boxes strategically stacked up right in front of her stomach. At the time, it made me wonder if we were about to get news like this, but I didn’t want to be too presumptuous. It’s nice to have the cat out of the bag now, and on their own terms. I’m happy for them! Having two under two is a wild adventure (my sister did it), but I’m sure they can handle it. The pictures they used for their announcement are super cute, too. I love her dress. Their smiles are so genuinely happy and Vanessa is absolutely glowing. She’s got that gorgeous pregnancy hair going on, too. I’m also impressed that she’s still rocking her belly button ring. I had to take mine out for good during my first pregnancy. May the rest of her pregnancy be smooth and healthy.

Congrats to them. She does indeed look lovely and glowing.

The whole trend of pregnant women proudly baring their stomachs is so interesting to me. I was pregnant in the 90s, which was kind of the last “hide your pregnant belly!” era. A decade after my kids were born I was seeing maternity bikinis and pregnancy photography sessions with half-nude madonna-like poses and thought how things had changed. Oh well, missed the window. Maybe my daughter can wear a dress like that if/when she has kids.

My sisters are Irish twins, they’re less than a year apart. That can’t be good for your body.

She looks absolutely cute as a button and I’m so happy for them both.
    Mazel tov!
