Here are some photos from the Venice Film Festival’s opening night. Unlike Cannes, Venice doesn’t put a lot of effort into asking/forcing big celebrities to come out for the opening night. It’s mostly about the film being premiered, with a handful of models and A-listers in attendance, usually because of their sponsorships. Cate Blanchett has a lucrative Armani Beauty contract, and Armani is a major sponsor of this festival. Thus, Cate turned up for the opening night. She wore Armani as well, with a twist – she wore this exact Armani gown to the 2022 SAG Awards. Cate has been doing this a lot in recent years – not so much upcycling, but just doing repeats of well-known looks from her closet. She does it to be environmentalist in a smaller way… that being said, she still wears new clothes often enough. Anyway, this gown still looks amazing on her.
Tilda Swinton and Cate Blanchett were on the same carpet at the same time in the same city! It’s a shame they didn’t pose together, but I’m sure their home planet asked them not to, because they don’t want to raise any suspicions that they are aliens sent to earth to SLAY! Tilda wore Chanel to the La Grazia premiere… this is very mindful and demure. On Tilda, it almost looks like she’s referencing religious iconography.
Heidi Klum was one of the pretty faces who attended on behalf of a sponsor. She wore Intimissimi (one of the festival’s sponsors) and she brought her daughter Leni Klum. Do you want to feel old as hell? Leni is 21 years old. She’s really pretty and fresh-faced, and I can see why she’s already a successful model. Meanwhile, Heidi’s hair/wig situation is absolutely tragic. Those are the ugliest bangs I’ve seen in years (and I see ugly bangs ALL THE TIME).
Bonus: Barbara Palvin wearing a bad dress and terrible shoes.

Cate and Tilda look amazing, as always.
My queens! Seriously, they are impeccable for such different reasons. We are not worthy!
… Leni’s necklace is killer. Kindness will not permit me to comment on Heidi.
I can’t with Heidi – herself and her daughter did underwear ads together and the posters were plastered all over Germany last year. Yeuck.
I’m sure they’re lovely people, but these outfits are tacky as hell. Are they actually a mother-daughter in-joke or something?
Cate looks elegant but is her marriage over? Haven’t seen her husband Andrew Upton with her for awhile, especially not after his affair. Must be one of those understanding marriages… 🤔
I always thought he punched above his weight with her too. Unkempt hair like something a cat dragged in.
I love Tilda’s ensemble especially the way the top meets the wide waistband. I’m curious how it would look with longer sleeves.
Leni’s pose face is kind of blah ain’t it? And I’m not fond of bodices that present your boobs like they’re on a platter
So many questions about Heidi and Leni…isn’t Intimissi an underwear brand? If so, why are they wearing it as outerwear? Is it outerwear? It is just underwear with a skirt draped over it?
They are both so beautiful, but I agree Heidi’s hair and makeup don’t add anything positive. The jewels are TO DIE FOR.
I actually don’t like Cate, she’s so smug, but as always, she looks flawless. Her skin is unbelievable. Wow.
Tilda looks cool. Don’t know who she is, but Barbara’s got the same corset as outerwear with drape going. The pantyhose in Venice in August idea is making me sweat. She’s pretty.
Tilda for the win. She absolutely killed it! The hair, the outfit. Just wow.
Holy boob job Heidi, you look like a Frederick’s of Hollywood ad.
Heidi’s little girl is darling: so much so that she kind of overcomes the awful gown, but Heidi looks dreadful, from the head down. I hate that gown.
