Jennifer Aniston & Jim Curtis stepped out for dinner in NYC last Friday

The headline I keep seeing is that Jennifer Aniston has gone “Instagram Official” with her hypnotist boyfriend Jim Curtis. First of all, Jennifer is pretty long in the tooth for “IG Official” to be an actual thing for her. Second of all, they’re wrong! Jennifer did a photo-dump carousel of her summer activities, and she included a photo of the back of Curtis’s head. Back in my day, IG Official meant something different – it meant an actual photo of a couple together!! A photo of the back of your lover’s head does not count.

The whole thing is even funnier because… Jennifer is old-school. If she wants to do a rollout for her new boyfriend, she does it the old-fashioned way, by literally going out in public with her new man and allowing the paparazzi to take photos. Which is exactly what happened on Friday – Jen was back in New York, which is where Jim Curtis lives. She’s been visiting him a lot in recent months, I think. Anyway, they went out to dinner and paps got plenty of shots of them. He’s been walking with a cane in every pap shot this summer – apparently, he has a long history of back problems, which I’m sure Jennifer relates to. She’s had some tough injuries in recent years as well.

I also have a question for the fashionistas out there – are light-wash jeans officially back? Jen’s jeans are reminding me of a pair of light, acid-wash jeans I had in college. I loved those jeans, they fit me perfectly at the time, but they were seen as hopelessly ‘80s. If this wash is coming back though, I might reinvest in this trend. Aniston’s look here is inspiring me!

I really hope these jeans are not coming back…. Honestly she just looks so boring and blah. And flip flops for dinner. And in New York! I mean I guess she’s not schlepping on the subway but I cringe when I see flip flops in the city.

Worse than wearing flip flops in the city: wearing socks with flip flops walking around NYC.

As far as the flip flops, my guess is she isn’t schlepping even one full block. They have a driver that drops them off in front of the door. So she’s mostly indoors. And it’s hot out!
I’m not a flup flop wearer unless I’m at the beach but I wear supportive leather sandals all of the time.

I also read that they both have Greek roots. They both seem kind of bland together though. But the older you get, the more you just crave the companionship.

    Easy…breezy…❤️

Her casual outfits are always so nice! I’ve saved some on Pinterest over the years.
Though I wouldn’t wear that color of jeans myself.

  4. Jill says:

Does she have six toes in one of those pictures?

Yes that color of jeans is coming back judging from the high school and middle school girls around me, lol. I have a pair thats that color and whenever I wear them at least one teenage girl tells me she loves them, haha. (I volunteer a lot at my kids’ schools, random girls aren’t coming up to me in walmart, that’d be weird lmao.) I don’t like the patch on the one leg on JA’s jeans but generally speaking yes that color is back.

This look is quintessential Aniston – casual and basic but i’m sure expensive.

Ok it actually does look like she has six toes on each foot and it’s hard to focus on anything else. Light wash jeans, ok. Did they ever fully go out of style? I always thought they were considered OK with more casual spring and summer looks, whereas darker ones were for more polished and night time looks and for colder weather.
