Kim Kardashian wore Schiaparelli to the ‘All’s Fair’ premiere: not that bad?

An update about Kim Kardashian’s law degree, in case anyone was wondering. I wondered, because there’s a lot of misinformation out there. Several months ago, Kim announced that she completed her law studies and got some kind of certificate which is the equivalent of a law degree. Over the summer, Kim sat for the California bar exam, but it doesn’t look like she’s gotten the results yet? So we await that news. In the meantime, Kim might not be a lawyer (yet) but she’s playing one on TV. Kim has a major role in Ryan Murphy’s latest glossy show, All’s Fair. It’s about divorce lawyers or law firms specializing in divorce/family law. It looks really soapy and crazy. Kim stars alongside Sarah Paulson, Glenn Close, Teyana Taylor, Naomi Watts, Grace Gummer, Niecy Nash and more. The trailer is very Kardashian-forward, which makes me believe it’s a pretty big role for Kim.

I’ll say this about Ryan Murphy – his shows might be exploitative crap which fall apart halfway through a season, but at least he’s hiring great actresses of all ages, and it’s nice to see many of these ladies get some fun, unserious work.

Anyway, last night was the big LA premiere of All’s Fair. This comes out on Hulu, btw. Kim wore Schiaparelli – it’s not her color whatsoever, but I actually think the design is flattering and nice. Her date was her mother Kris, who wore Givenchy. Kim and Kris are morphing into each other, it’s pretty crazy. Other fashion notes: Glenn Close looked gorgeous in Carolina Herrera, and Sarah Paulson looked wacky in Bottega Veneta.

I agree with you. Love the structure of the dress. And of those pictured, she is the best-dressed!

  2. ThatGirlThere says:

It’s the best she’s worn in a long time but I still don’t think SHE looks great in it. Shes not tall enough for this look and that beautiful skirt bottom. Her makeup is kind of nice.

  3. Debbie says:

I actually like the pewter color, it’s unusual; however, with her skin tone she can certainly wear it well.

I have never been able to warm to Kim at all. To me she always presents as utterly artificial and superficial. She’s one of those people I would never think of even once if she chose to retire and disappear from public life. I feel the same about her whole tribe.

Glenn Close looks fabulous. I’m so glad she’s just leaning in to her real age and her power as an older woman!

  5. Sarah Paulson all I could see were the brushes used in car washes lol!!

  6. Wash says:

This is a stunning dress and Kim looks very fit and toned. Good makeup and hair. Overall, a win.

  7. Grant says:

IDK, I think that color looks pretty great on her. It’s a really incredible frock. She looks great! I like Glenn’s look too.

  8. Gail says:

@Kaiser, you say Kim went w/her mum, so who is the woman standing next to Kim in a gawd-awful yellow tunic/dress (?) black bow and ridiculous, 1920s try-hard hair? I don’t recognize her at all

    • JanetDR says:

Right?! It’s like she asked her plastic surgeon to make her look more like Kim! I don’t hate Kris’s longer hair, but I feel like short hair was so iconic on her.

    Sigh.
I am so tired of seeing reality tv people getting cast in ‘real’ acting roles. As someone who has trained and worked at the craft and is in the grind of trying to even get auditions, it is just disheartening sometimes to watch people sail right on in bc their name is ‘known.’
I know, this is the world we live in…sometimes it just sucks.

  10. NotMika says:

This is giving Halle Berry’s Oscar dress, but make it beige.

  11. Kirsten says:

Sarah Paulson’s dress (top and skirt?) is super eccentric but I love it and love it on her. I would honestly like it even more if Kim showed up in that. She needs to try a style that is not just glued into a dress.

  12. Nerd says:

I think of everyone pictured, she was the best dressed. I love the pewter color on her. The bottom is gorgeous especially in that color, while the top either needed to not have the center black line or in a pewter color also. All of the other looks are nice or okay. Glenn Close has always been a beautiful woman and when she shortened her hair, she became even more beautiful, but the top shoulder and chest part of that dress doesn’t look right for some reason. I like the dress and as I said she’s beautiful but there is just something about the fit around her shoulders and chest area that throws it off for me.

    • HeatherC says:

I agree. Overall I love Glenn’s look. But I think the cut of the shoulders and chest, the way it all frames her neck, make her look, IDK, a bit hunched over? But she still looks great.

  13. kc says:

Glenn Close looked great and that’s it. And what in the HELL has Kris done to her hair. It looks like Oompa Loompa hair. Kris is like Trump, I can’t see a photo of either one without getting nauseous.

  14. Bev says:

Why is Kris posing on camera? She’s not on this show.

  15. Krista says:

Their faces all look bizarre. Stop normalizing this.
Naomi looks beautiful – like herself.

  16. Aubrey says:

That’s a lot of material that doesn’t know where to go .
