Donald Trump was massively booed at a Commanders football game last night

Donald Trump was out and about on Sunday. He attended a football game – the DC Commanders versus Detroit Lions. Trump has been attending so many sporting events this year, from the Super Bowl to the US Open to the FIFA World Cup. I have no idea why – Dozy Don barely has the attention span and wherewithal to sit through an Oval Office meeting without falling asleep, and his presence at these sporting events causes huge security issues. Well, a funny thing happened at last night’s game – Trump got booed. Heavily.

Donald Trump drew a mixed reaction during the Commanders and Lions NFL game this weekend. As the president, 79, was shown late in the first half of the match-up between the Washington, D.C., and Detroit teams on Sunday, Nov. 9, he was met with massive boos from some in attendance, as well as some cheers, as seen in video shared online. Trump was standing in a suite with House Speaker Mike Johnson.

Later during the evening, when the politician was introduced by the stadium announcer at halftime, he was met with the same reaction.

Trump read the Oath of Enlistment to service members who were on the field, as a mixture of supporters and critics roared in the Commanders’ Northwest Stadium.

Trump was also booed at several other sporting events earlier this year, including the US Open in September and the FIFA World Cup in July.

Trump’s appearance at the Commander vs. Lions matchup made him the first sitting president to attend a regular-season NFL game in almost five decades. The last to do so was Jimmy Carter in 1978. Before him was Richard Nixon in 1969, the Associated Press reported.

Again, I have no idea why he keeps doing this. No one wants to see him, he rarely stays for the whole match or game, he’s upsetting sports fans wherever he goes and people f–king hate him. His poll numbers have completely tanked and he’s destroying the country. Does he think he’s going to be greeted as a conquering hero and he’s going to keep turning up to these events until that’s the reaction he gets?

    Getting the attention he deserves

  2. Smices says:

And yet, he’s pressuring the Commanders owner to name the stadium after him.

As a small business owner in DC you know who’s going to pay for the new stadium? Me and every other business in DC. The “ballpark” tax has come down over the years, but for a number of years my company paid a $45,000 annual fee for a baseball stadium that had zero impact on my business. It’s since dropped to $16,500 per year, but as DC seeks to redo the hockey arena and build a new football stadium, I except to see those fees rise dramatically.

And the fee tops out in $16 million in annual revenue which mean I pay the same as lobbying firms that make over a billion a year.

  3. That is so! says:

He gonna make booing him and public display of disapproval of him a felony.

    • Mac says:

Notice how the article said “and some cheers”? Trump’s goons let the media know that was required before he went to the US Open. It’s pathetic how they concede to his demands.

      • Betsy says:

Functionally speaking, there is only right wing media in America. We would all do well to learn this. They exist to serve the fascists.

    • bananapanda says:

He basically deaf to it. He needs to not show his face in the DMV area where every other job is at risk – I have (old school semi apolitical) conservative friends who have quit or been fired across agencies too.

Nationals fans boo’d him at the World Series too. They do this tricky thing showing military (yay!) then pivot to his face on the screen. Did it at both games so it takes a sec for the crowd to get going ha ha.

I only saw this beautiful showing of patriotism, shunning that fascist loser, afterward in clips on the internet. I WAS watching the Commanders game live. When the announcers said that TACO would be speaking in the 3rd quarter, I changed the channel. I cannot tolerate the site or sound of him in my home or let my daughter grow up thinking he is normal. I did once again tell my little daughter that the orange man is very bad and very mean.

    • Becks1 says:

We had on Red Zone and the instant he came on with the commentators we turned the channel. We’re a Nielsen family so I hope it helped even a little to show that people do not want to see him.

  5. Amy Bee says:

He seemed to be very surprised that he was getting booed.

    • bananapanda says:

That’s bc Stephen Miller lies to him all day long. Someone needs to plant a seed in his ear that Miller is making him gullible.

  6. Aimee says:

When the hell is this man going to croak?

    • atorontogal says:

Hopefully today. But it has to be in public so they don’t Weekend at Bernie’s this guy for a month while passing more outrageous bills.

  7. Brassy Rebel says:

He keeps going to these events with big crowds because he is a narcissist. He tunes out the booing and only hears cheers and adoration. Standing in a private box with everyone looking up at him is the ultimate thrill. A narcissist’s dream come true. Probably has an orgasm or as close as his bloated, diseased carcass can get to that.

  8. ThatGirlThere says:

The unqualified SecDef was furious. He could barely contain his rage at being booed along side his “dear leader.” I love that for them.

  9. Lily Bart says:

The only time he got “cheered” was when the announcers or Drumpf himself tried to invoke words that crowds like that usually do actually cheer for. Huge emphasis was put on “military” and “God” and you can see those are the moments he smiled. He definitely didn’t tune out the boos that’s why it took him forever to start cause he thought they would stop and let him speak LOL he was certainly caught off guard that they booed him the entire speech. And I love that for him.

    • BeanieBean says:

Considering this is the guy who took an oath to uphold the constitution when he was sworn in then later said he wasn’t sure he had to abide by that & that it was a question for the lawyers, it’s pretty galling to have him read this oath to whoever this stunt was created for.

  10. Aquitaine says:

I think he likes being booed by the audiences. It reassures him that the Joe Blows are feeling the pain that he has inflicted on us.

  11. Delta Sierra says:

Longing for him to get mooned. A mass mooning! That would be wonderful.
