ASAP Rocky: ‘I just don’t f–k with’ Drake, he’s soft and he should ‘move on’

One really nice thing about Rihanna and ASAP Rocky’s relationship is that they were friends for years before they got together romantically. They were friends when Rihanna dated Drake on-and-off circa 2014-15, and Rocky and Rihanna were still friends after Rihanna stopped her thing with Drake. Now, all that time, Rocky and Drake had a come-and-go beef and Drake still makes references to Rocky in his music. Basically, I think Drake is salty that Rihanna chose Rocky as her forever-man, her partner and the father of her children. So what does Rocky say about Drake these days? Well..

A$AP Rocky is clarifying where his relationship with Drake stands. In a new interview with Apple Music’s Ebro Darden published Wednesday, Jan. 21, the radio personality, 50, and the “Punk Rocky” rapper, 37, discussed buzz about the musicians beefing, and how the issue came to be. “I’m kinda asking this — I wanna know the inside,” Darden told his guest, who replied, “Please do.”

The former Hot 97.1 host asked A$AP Rocky if there was “really an issue” between him and the Canadian rapper, 39. He also wanted to know if the situation was more “like wrestling when y’all are trolling us and rage baiting people” to possibly promote projects after fans speculated that the track “Stole Ya Flow” from A$AP Rocky’s recently released album Don’t Be Dumb was pointed at Drake.

“I think hip-hop tactics and beefs is, like, WWF. It’s like wrestling all the way, right? But this thing between us, it’s not real smoke,” A$AP Rocky replied.

“But I just don’t f–k with him,” he said.

The “F—in’ Problems” collaborators’ friendship has fizzled in recent years, as both artists have had long-term relationships with Rihanna.

“We were once friends,” A$AP Rocky told Darden, adding that he believes their fallout is “over females.”

“I feel like he wasn’t happy and he expressed that,” A$AP Rocky explained. “And I think at some certain point when everybody gettin’ older and it’s just like, you’re supposed to be moving on. For you to still be pickin’ at a female and all that, that’s soft to me. I didn’t put out an album, I didn’t put out music for me to really say something back.”

LMAO. “At some certain point when everybody gettin’ older and it’s just like, you’re supposed to be moving on….” As in, Drake is almost 40 years old and he hasn’t dated Rihanna in more than a decade, why is he still in his feelings about Rihanna or Rocky? “For you to still be pickin’ at a female and all that, that’s soft to me.” That’s Drake in a nutshell though. And it’s even more insulting to Drake for Rocky to not even feel the need to clapback with music. I think that’s Rihanna’s perspective too, that once she was done with Drake, she was done and she doesn’t think about him at all.

Drake is one of those people who holds a grudge for life. And I read he is appealing the Kendrick Lamar saga,he is so butt hurt about anything.

  2. Jill says:

Does Drake not feel embarrassment at all? I’m pretty sure the rest of us could die from second hand embarrassment when it comes to him.

  3. Eowyn says:

Isn’t Drake dealing with racketeering charges? Maybe he needs to focus on that over teenage-style drama.
