Miss Piggy’s beauty secret: ‘Gwyneth Paltrow and I go to the same dermatologist’

When it comes to pigs in Hollywood, Miss Piggy truly broke the mold. She set out to make her mark in an industry notorious for underrepresentation, and blazed her own trail… HERS! It’s hers alone because no one else compares! And that’s why we love Miss Piggy. So most of us didn’t take kindly when a journalist recently asked Mademoiselle Piggy about “her relationship with aging.” I’m amazed Piggy didn’t karate chop that interviewer on the spot. Thankfully, E! News correspondent Will Marfuggi understood the assignment and phrased the question appropriately: “What is the secret to your ageless beauty?” And when you ask the right way, you get an answer full of hot gossip! Get a load of what Miss P said: “I am glad you noticed, first of all. Gwyneth Paltrow and I got to the same dermatologist, so that helps. I get lots of sleep of course, water, maybe there’s a laser or two from a European doctor, but that’s all I’m going to admit to.” GP and MP share a dermatologist?! I wonder how long Goop worked to squeeze the name out of Miss Piggy. Some more from this interview of Piggy and Kermit the Frog:

Kermit the Frog has some fashion advice for the lovers, the dreamers and the short kings.

It is no secret that the beloved Muppet is both short and iconic, which is why it only makes sense that those also of a petite stature might look to him for fashion inspo—if they’re brave enough.

“As you can see, I don’t really wear much,” Kermit—who, indeed, often goes about the world in his natural state—quipped in an exclusive interview with E! News’ Will Marfuggi, though his co-interviewee Miss Piggy pointed out, “You got that collar around your neck.”

The amphibian is aware, however, that his go-to accessory isn’t necessarily on trend.

As Kermit pointed out, maybe “when collars come back into fashion” will his preferred neckwear act as real streetwear inspiration.

“Or maybe we can bring it back into fashion, there’s that,” he mused, to which Miss Piggy predicted, “Collars are gonna be all the rage.”

Even Kermit can admit, though, that his usual nude and collared look isn’t for the meek: “It depends on your comfort level, going au naturel.”

But these days, when Kermit and Miss Piggy—a fashion icon in her own right—aren’t musing over their impact on pop culture, the pair are busy preparing for the return of The Muppet Show, which premieres Feb. 4 on Disney+ and ABC.

And they had a special guest helping them bring back the beloved show, which last hit TV screens under that original name in 1981: Sabrina Carpenter, one of today’s biggest stars—though Miss Piggy would beg to differ.

“Was I intimidated?” Miss Piggy scoffed of having the Disney Channel alum on the series. “If anything, I think you should ask Sabrina if she was intimidated by moi.”

The Muppet then walked her remarks back with, “Well, actually, don’t ask her that, though. Just take my word for it. She was very intimidated.”

Kermit, however, was ever the diplomat.

“What I think Miss Piggy is meaning to say,” he noted, “is that it was great to share the stage with Sabrina, who is an amazing singer and actress.”

“Sure, sure, sure, yeah,” Miss Piggy responded, ever sincere. “That’s what I meant.”

[From E! News]

First of all, a big arm-flailing round of applause to both Miss Piggy and Kermit the Frog; it’s not easy to stay friends with an ex, let alone be tied to them so consistently in your professional lives. But these two pros made it look effortless. I guess at 10 years post split, they’ve each past any hurt and happily settled into a rich, familiar friendship with no trace of jealousy at all, not by the hair on a chinny chin chin. Second, wow Will Marfuggi — asking a famous nudist for fashion tips is a CHOICE. The full question is, “Kermit, what is your #1 piece of fashion advice for short kings?” So I get Will was going for the angle of helping out fellow shorties. And of course Kermit is such a good-natured frog that he clearly wants to give a good answer, but at the same time he kind of deflates a little in embarrassment. None of us should be embarrassing Kermit the Frog! That’s Miss Piggy’s job!

Lastly, I highly recommend watching the full video. Again, Piggy & Kermy have such a lovely dynamic at this point, plus there are so many other gems. Like Will asking if there’s a Muppet group chat, to which Miss Piggy exclaims, “You think Gonzo has MY number? Think again.” So Will asks Kermit if there’s a secret group chat without Piggy, and Kermit says, “Well, I wouldn’t say it’s a secret. I think she has continued to remove herself from the text chain.” The technology may change, but a diva’s snobbery is forever.

OK folks, let’s bring back collars — for Kermit! And watch the new Muppet Show on Disney+ or ABC; it has a perfect score on Rotten Tomatoes that I fully endorse after watching the special myself!

No way GP shares a dermatologist with this queen. Ms. P’s skin is flawless!

    • Up In Toronto says:

So true! If she really shared a dermatologist w GP (who doesn’t apply sunscreen smartly). Miss Piggy’s skin would look like Gwyneth’s decolletage: crispy.

Not a great look for our Miss Piggy!

    • Jegede says:

And her hair is far more glorious!! 👱‍♀️👱‍♀️👱‍♀️

I’m surprised Mme. Piggie never did a shampoo commercial.

  2. Durga says:

Miss Piggy is the only Queen I recognize!

The Muppet Show is required viewing for cultural literacy for all my kids and nieces and nephews. Long live Piggy and Kermie.

    • Truthiness says:

Oh I love a lot of queens! Drag queens, Cookie Queens, beauty queens, so many queens. Beyonce is royalty in our country, John Oliver said he’s not fit for her royal presence, “Don’t look at me Queen!”

  3. Miss Piggy forever 💖

  4. Mumster says:

I’m a Kismet stan! Even when I don’t register the byline, by the time I read a sentence or two, I know Kismet wrote it. LOL This made me chortle. I love Ms. P. She’s the ultimate diva. (Mariah Carey’s persona kind of reminds me of her.)

  5. Magdalena says:

    OMG, I legit DIED! 😀

    • DeeSea says:

This is also where I died! 😍 I love everything about this post, and about the Muppets revival, and about how Sabrina Carpenter is shaping her career. 10/10 delightful across the board!
