It hasn’t even been a week since Prince Andrew’s arrest, and it feels like the entire royal ecosystem has been turned on its head. Last Friday, high-level discussions began around removing Andrew from the line of succession, and it does seem like a popular move across the political spectrum in the UK and elsewhere. On Monday, Australia’s prime minister Anthony Albanese signaled his support for Andrew’s removal as well. That’s significant, because removing someone from the line of succession takes government legislation, and I believe the other “British realms” have to sign off on it as well.

Meanwhile, there’s more evidence that Andrew got the kind of elite royal protection which Prince Harry was denied. For years, Prince Harry has simply asked for police protection within the UK because of his unique threat level and the targeted threats against him and his family. He’s been denied at every turn. Yet there’s new evidence that Andrew’s Met Police bodyguards were not only tasked with protecting him as he cavorted with Jeffrey Epstein, Ghislaine Maxwell and multiple trafficking victims, but those protection officers were also assigned to provide door security for a “celebrity dinner party” at Epstein’s New York townhouse in 2010, after Epstein had been convicted of predatory sex crimes. There’s an email suggesting that Andrew’s RPOs were taking orders from Epstein’s staff as well.

Lastly, there’s new reporting this week that British taxpayers were picking up the costs of Andrew’s overseas “massages” when he worked as a trade envoy for a decade. Taxpayers had to pick up the cost of his flights, hotel rooms and “spa treatments.” Parts of this were known for years, and the British government also shut down conversations about the need for oversight on Andrew’s taxpayer-funded jaunts, which we now know were missions partially on behalf of Jeffrey Epstein’s business interests. Not only that, but the Daily Mail has an exclusive about Andrew ordering a masseuse to come to Buckingham Palace, give him a full body massage, and then he paid the woman (Monique Giannelloni) with a check from his Coutts bank account.
