I like Leo and I respect the way he’s managed his career and that he keeps his private life private. He consistently makes good movies and works with the best directors. And he’s handsome.
Holy crap. Kudos to his agent, that’s some deal. I thought he was great in the movie, but for me (and a lot of other people) it wasn’t a Leo star vehicle, it was a Nolan movie.

I like Leo; He doesn’t appeal to me physically, or as a person, per say, but I do l ike him as an actor. He does intense/broody particularly well.
That’s the same thing Tom Cruise is doing, taking the pay off on the back-end, very smart.
@Amy – You are so right about his face. He looks under-developed. He also has a slightly concave chest. I don’t find him attractive at all.
@Mari–I wish more people felt that way. I’m in full agreement. I love movies but seeing them talk and act so important is kind of funny to me because they spend so much time pretending to be other people. They win Oscars playing people like some of us.

I’ve heard Leo is fairly passionate about saving the environment, I wish he’d thrown some of that cash the Australian Greens’ way, so they could’ve bought some valuable airtime for the current federal election campaign.
Kudos to Leo DiCaprio! It’s not like he’s had a consistent string of hits or a profitable franchise like Matt Damon. I saw Inception and it was very entertaining. He also leverages his celebrity status to help worthy causes. If he’s actually making money “hand over fist”, I’m not mad at him. No movie is guaranteed to be profitable and as long as a performer is “bankable”, he/she will keep working. He probably treats his housekeeper very well!
it’s more a Nolan movie than a Dicaprio movie but Dicaprio forgot to be idiot except to choose his friends(Entourage’s actors, Naomi Campbell,…).He’s a total Holywood guy

I guess he believes Naomi Campbell’s story about the Taylor diamonds because he was kicking it with her and his girlfriend on yacht a couple days ago. Honestly, I get that they may all be “friends” but how could you possibly still speak to this woman after making a movie like “Blood Diamond” and knowing that she accepted them???
Ugh, I try to refrain from commenting about celeb’s personal lives but I like Leo a lot and this really pissed me off.

Ok, I’m being silly but google ‘Leo dated Naomi Campbell’ and you should see some old pics and reports about them having dated or hooked up. Hm, wonder how Bar feels about that? Eh they’re probably all friends with benefits. Anywho that might explain why he chooses to believe her.
Leo’s a damn fine actor and all but he comes off as pretty much up his own arse a lot of the time and his history of dating only models (though I’m not saying all models are dumb) makes me think there’s something lacking in his personality. Doesn’t affect my enjoyment of his movies though. I put no actors on a pedestal so I’m not too disappointed when one of them says or does something I think is questionable. I just remind myself that they’re paid entertainers with all the flaws and issues that the rest of us have.

I completely agree with you about separating an actor’s personal life from his craft/job. I guess my beef comes with the fact that he’s so outspoken about the issues he cares about so he kinda puts himself out there ya know? In my opinion, if an actor uses their notoriety to speak out for the causes they believe in then they’re fair game to be called out for *seemingly* contradicting said cause. I dunno, maybe his friendship with Naomi is that tight but I just found the parading around on the yacht with her to be douchebaggery at its finest.
Meh, I guess I wouldn’t care if it was an actor I hated or thought was untalented. Plus Campbell is just so vile. Ugh.
Anyway, I’ll still watch his movies because I think he’s talented but that was a strike against him IMO.
