Did Jamie Lynn call off the wedding?

There have been reports for several months that things aren’t going well in the relationship between Jamie Lynn Spears and boyfriend/soon-to-be baby daddy Casey Aldridge. And why should they be going well? They’re 17 and 19 years old – few relationships work out well at that age. Unfortunately for their relationship, the two are expecting a baby together, and got engaged a few months ago. According to Star (so take it with a grain of salt) Jamie Lynn has called off the wedding.

Jamie Lynn Spear’s baby joy turns to tears because her wedding to Casey Aldridge is off! In the new issue of Star, on newsstands now, we break the exclusive news that the pregnant teenager has called off her wedding. Ever since the Zoey 101 made the shocking announcement that she’s pregnant, her mom, Lynne Spears, has been pushing her to marry baby daddy Casey.

And while it seems like the teen mom-to-be has been trying her best to do the right thing, insiders tell Star that the tension between the two young parents-to-be has become so intense that it’s doubtful they will ever tie the knot.

“Jamie Lynn and Casey have been fighting non-stop about everything, from what to name the baby to what to eat for dinner,” a source tells Star. “And now she’s called off their wedding plans.”

The magazine also claims that Jamie Lynn has moved out of the home she bought and back into her mom’s home in Kentwood, Louisiana. They also say both mom Lynne and dad Jamie have left Los Angeles and are at home with Jamie Lynn, helping her out. Both parents – who are divorced – have spent an inordinate amount of time with Britney in L.A. recently – even on Jamie Lynn’s birthday.

It’s good that they’re both by their youngest daughter’s side right now. Star says the family is busy decorating the nursery in Lynne’s home. They say that Casey is, “in and out,” – implying that the couple are still together, but no longer engaged. Given their ages and the situation they’re in, it sounds like not planning a wedding is the best thing for right now. A baby at the age of 17 is a big enough challenge – negotiating the ins and outs of marriage can wait.

This is so shocking! Who could have seen this coming? 😉

Well, devilgirl, I can’t contain my surprise either. It looks like yet another ground-breaking article from Star has pulled the rug out from under our feet. Luckily they got the inside information from a ‘source’, otherwise I would have wasted my money on a wedding gift. If these magazines didn’t have their undercover sources, we wouldn’t know half of what goes on the stars’ lives.

I suspect he’s demanding a paternity test, and Spoiled Spears is pouty and afraid that he’s not toeing the line and playing the role he was hired for.

Good for her, two wrongs don’t make a right. Who thinks a teen marriage will last any way? Have your baby and try to rebuild your life.

no no star never tells the truth 😡

It’s not easy being a teen mom. But it’s even a lot more difficult being a teen mom trapped in a marriage that’s not totally right.

Maybe she’s had an attack of conscience-she probably knows that baby isn’t his.

I seriously can not believe she’s still pregnant. I was sure she would have “fallen down the steps” or something by now.

Ugh why do conservative parents think getting married because you are pregnant is the “right” thing to do? Its 2008 not 1958. I had my first child a week after my 20th birthday and I was a single mum. I got married at 21 and had three more kids by 27. I also got divorced 16 years later. I have a PhD, a very good job and am 3 months into my second marriage. All of my kids are doing well. I’m GLAD I didn’t marry at 20. Bad enough just before my 22nd birthday. I was too young.

Having a baby at 17 isn’t the greatest thing in the world but it sure isn’t the worst. She’ll be fine. She has a hell of a lot more advantages than most 17 year olds in her situation. And the little one will be fine too as long as people calm down on the ‘unmarried mother’ rhetoric.

They don’t do shotgun weddings in the south anymore.

It’s atv weddings. Take his away, he’ll step up to the wedding plate quicker than you can say Cheeto flavored wedding cake.

  12. Nichole says:

She should definitely wait until the time is right and she’s a little older. At least wait until 20-24.

  13. Frenchie says:

She shouldn’t have said he is the dad in the first place. Now she has to deal with him as well
Difficult enought to take care of yourself at that age. How is she going to do with 2 more kids (the guy + the baby) ? Will she ever have the time to discover who she is and what she wants before being able to love somebody else.

  14. SpearsFamilyareRednecks says:

I doubt he is the father. If they marry she will have to give him alimony when they divorce. See her sister (for her marriage decisions-cost).

  15. gg says:

Come on now, nobody here has any way of knowing who is the father. But getting married at her age, and to his immature ass, at his age, is the dumbest thing she could do. Seems like she needs to kick him to the curb and dust off her hands of this guy. He’s going to turn into a leech if she keeps him.

I think the whole thing is crazy Jamie aka Zoey 101 pregnant what are the kids going to say about this and what kind of image is this to publish for young kids too see. Besides if they do marry it will be another hollywood divorce and they’ll end on celebrity expose . Publish something important than the spears sisters 🙄
