Here are some photos of Angelina Jolie and Maddox arriving at LAX yesterday. Angelina is wearing her traditional all-black and she looks rather fetching. Maddox turned 12 years old earlier this month – time flies, doesn’t it? I still remember when Angelina first adopted him and her father broke the news to the media like an a—hole. Maddox, to me, seems to dress like both his parents. He likes leather and black and he likes his pants to fit the same way Brad likes his pants. I kind of love how Maddox seems like a miniature version of a Hollywood star – the skullcap, the sunglasses, the nice leather bag, the swagger. Madd is pretty badass.
I guess Angelina and Maddox were in England earlier this week, and that’s why they were arriving at LAX? Angelina was photographed taking a helicopter ride in England, and there was that story about Angelina and Jennifer being booked on the same British Airways flight. But I don’t really know why Angelina was in England at all. Maybe she was scouting locations for something? Or maybe she was checking out rental properties for the family for when Brad films Fury there later this year? Maybe.
Also, I guess we have to talk about this (I’m acting like I don’t want to, but you know how much I like to talk about boobs), so let’s talk about Angelina’s boobs. Are we still going with “post-surgery swelling” as the official story or should we start discussing the idea that Angelina went up a cup size after her mastectomy? Because I think she went up a cup size. I think she was like, “Well, since I’m already here, might as well make ‘em bigger.”

What did her dad do, when she adopted Maddox? I don’t think I heard that story. The only thing I know is that her Dad keeps talking to the media about her, even when they aren’t speaking to each other….which would really piss me off.
I wonder if she did go up a size….which she doesn’t seem like the type to really care if her boobs were A or D cups…but it’s possible. But I’m really bad at fake boobs unless it’s really obvious. And she’s always had a small frame for her breast size, so to me, there’s really no difference.

Jon Voight called a press conference and announced he was a grandfather, because his daughter was overseas picking up her new adopted son. Hounds of reporters met Angie at the airport upon her return with baby Maddox.
Angie was furious with her father because she had specifically asked him and her brother ‘not’ to say anything about the adoption for a couple of months so that she and Maddox could adjust to their new lives together. She saw it as a blatant betrayal of trust on his part (I personally think he did it for the attention and probably because he seems the type who doesn’t like a woman ‘and his daughter at that’ dictating what he can and can’t do … JMO).
After that Angie broke off all contact with her dad, and she absolutely refused to have anything to do with him after that, and he wasn’t to have anything to do with her kids. During that time Jon Voight called another press conference and said his daughter was ‘mentally ill’ by her behavior in keeping him away from his ‘grandchildren.’ I just couldn’t understand why she would do such a thing.
Brad and her brother James Haven talked Angie into letting Jon Voight back into her live and as grandfather to her kids, which lasted until sometime before or just after the twins were born.
I also seem to remember Angelina saying in an interview that her father had given her a letter that she read on the flight to pick up Maddox. He accused her of being mentally ill, unfit to parent and a horrible daughter. She didn’t get into specifics but said if anyone read a letter like that from their parent they would be heartbroken and would have to pull back and restrict their contact. Then, when Jon went and told the media he thought she was mentally ill, it certainly supported her claim.

Not exactly. Or even close. Angie was filming on location in Namibia. There were issues with other adoptions out of Cambodia (not with hers) and the adoption process was halted in Cambodia for a while starting in Dec 2001.
Angie’s adoption of Maddox was already in the pipeline as were some 100 other adoptions at that time. To ensure that there were no irregularities in any of the adoptions already underway, they were all investigated by both the Cambodian and the United States governments.
Eventually ALL of these 100 adoptions including Angie’s were cleared of any irregularities and allowed to go through to completion. Cambodia cleared Maddox’s adoption in March 2002 and Maddox was brought to Namibia to Angie at that time. Yes, her father did announce it at the Oscar Luncheon that year without Angie’s approval.
But Angie could not bring Maddox into the US until the Dept of Justice and the State Department cleared his adoption since it would pretty much make him a US citizen. Angie brought Maddox back to England after her film finished in Namibia and they were able to enter the US in May or June 2002.
The story of the letter given to her by her dad is one Angie herself explained in an interview she gave to a legitimate publication. She was on her way to her first land mine visit in late 2001 and she was nervous – obviously what she considered a hateful letter from her dad was unhelpful at the time. She said she was getting ready to be a mother and decided she couldn’t psychologically handle her father’s toxic behavior toward her at the time so she decided to walk away from him.
Her father’s TV entertainment show appearance where he cried and claimed he did not know about her earlier issues (probably referring to her cutting et al) was in August 2002 shortly after it became known that Jolie had gone to court in June to legally drop Voight from her name. I always thought it was motivated by her dad’s anger or pride over that name change. Angie said in another legitimate publication that her father’s TV appearance could have jeopardized Maddox’s adoption receiving final approval. She seemed to feel it was the ultimate betrayal by her father.
Sometimes you just have to walk away from poisonous relationships until you can better handle them or put them in their rightful place.
Katherine – he give an impromptu tearful interview to Access Hollywood in which he talked about Angelina having ‘serious mental issues’ and imploring her to seek help for said mental issues.

Agreed! Nipples!! Why is it nobody mentions her nipples showing in EVERY SINGLE PICTURE, yet if it was ANYONE else there would major shade throwing. If my mom walked around with her nipples out like that when i was 12 I’d be majorly embarrassed.

She choose implants way to big for her body frame. Why do some women with implants think because their boobs dont sag they dont need to wear a bra? This is perfect example of why a bra should always been worn when in public especially when she knows she will be photographed. I know several women who have had same surgery and wearing a bra isnt uncomfortable so she cant use that excuse.
My son would be mortified if I walked around with him with no bra/nipples showing like this and she damn well knows they are showing. She has been in public eye for years and knows how things photograph. Angelina have some class!

Yeaaa…they are definitely bigger. It can take up to a year for them to “settle” though. I hope they go down a little and start looking a little more natural for her. My cousin had reconstructive surgery after a double mastectomy from breast CA, and she had to have a second surgery on a migrating nipple. I’m a nurse, but I did not know that could happen.
Regarding implant size, every woman I know who has them, was talked into a larger size by her plastic surgeon.
If I had to get a double mastectomy like AJ did, I definitely would have gotten the deluxe replacement set.

She looks good with her hair down like this. Maddox looks cute, but I can’t imagine he’ll enjoy his dad wearing the exact same style clothes as him for much longer. No matter who you’re dad is at a certain age that’s gonna be embarrassing.
She definitely went bigger, I’d say at least two cup sizes (keeping in mind the difference in cup sizes isn’t as big as most people assume). Part of it’s shape too, it looks like she went for a very round, orb like implant and her natural breasts weren’t that shape at all. Plus, obviously she has no breast tissue to help soften the look of the implants. She’d look great if she gained a little weight, even 10lbs, but right now her breasts are too big for her body. I’m not sure she did it on purpose though, post mastectomy implants are difficult, they rarely look like regular implants, so women often end up quite a bit bigger or smaller than they thought they’d be.
They obviously had to take out all the breast tissue, and she is rather slim, so she probably has not a lot of fat around the area. She probably chose the size she was originally(she was busty), but the shape will not be the same as before.

I went down a cup after my surgery, but my family thought for the longest time I was at the same size. 6 years out and you can tell I’m smaller, but it wasn’t noticeable that first year. Partly because bras are not your friend. Wire is out. The doctors encourage you to wear a bra to support the tissue during healing, but there were times, I said Eff it.

she and duchess kate have similar hair color. they both have naturally dark brown hair but hey dye it to that … color which is not flattering at all… it just looks cheap..the color i mean. ugh.
Angelina’s hair isn’t naturally dark brown, she dyes it that color sometimes. Her natural color is a dark dirty blonde/light brown. She looks best with her natural light brown color, the really dark color washes her out with her light skin tone.
I want that bag. I think her boobs are about the same as they were before the surgery- except I think these are a bit more perkier, maybe?

I have to hand it to these celebrities…I flew from the East Coast to London, spent a few days, chunneled to Paris and flew back to the east coast in about 8 days, and I am kick ass exhausted. How these people fly around constantly–and London to LA has got to be a solid 11 hour flight–I would be worthless for days (even if I had the cash for BA first class, which I don’t). How do they do it?
I’m being tested for the same gene that AJ has (results will be back next week). If it turns out that I’m positive, I will def have my ovaries removed asap, and will have to decide whether or not to go with the double mastectomy, as she did. With my very strong family history, it’s something that I would have to really consider.
That being said, if I do that, hell yeah I’ll go up a cup size. Why not? I wouldn’t just do it for no reason, but if they are going to being doing that anyway, why not get the size I wish I was born with?
I hope you’re okay. I can’t imagine having that kind of a family history, and having to make those kinds of decisions.

My best friend went thru this last year. Regardless what anyone says it is a very brave decision to make to have a double masectomy. It was a rough road for my bestie but she did it for her kids, to be there for them in future.

When Angelina went to Hawaii a month ago, she wore a very low cut blouse. Her boobs looked smaller actually, like a B cup so I’m gonna say it just depends on what she’s wearing.

Maddox is ethnically Cambodian and Khmers tend to be fairly short. He’ll probably be taller than his birth parents due to a better American diet but I wouldn’t expect him to be a six-footer.

Anyone with eyesight can tell natural breasts from fake ones. Natural women breasts, hang a little, they don’t all sit straight up. Her breasts became smaller when she lost weight. Her breasts were natural, until she had her surgery. Google is your friend, they were all hers.

Her implants are most likely the same size that her real breasts were.
What a lot of people don’t know is that it can take months and months, even about a year, for breast implants to “settle” and heal. Her breasts may look big now, but they will most likely end up looking a bit smaller and closer to her regular size as time goes on.

During both her pregnancy’s her arms and legs stayed skinny and all the babies were born healthy.

Angelina has always been thin. She has her father’s body type.
She got thinner around her mother’s death, most likely because of the stress. It stands to reason that what has happened in the past few months would also affect her weight.
Having children can change the way people carry fat. Although, she had thin limbs even while pregnant as someone pointed out.
Basically, she’s always been thin, and it might not make sense to look into her weight too much considering all that has happened recently.

Recently, I saw some of Marcheline’s modeling pics, and like Angelina, she had a tremendous face, but very thin arms and legs.
Voight was lanky with thin limbs too, so it was inevitable for Angelina to have the build that she has.

I mentioned her father because it’s obvious why her body looks the way it does when you look at him, and there are several photos of them together where the size and length of her arms and legs can be seen right next to his.

Why is everyone saying she had big boobs before her surgery? Have any of you seen Gia? The girl had a modest b-cup at best. In all of her red carpet dresses, they were always pushed to the sky but they never even touched each other. Still in other dresses, the gape between the dress and her actual chest was a dead giveaway that she wasn’t all that big. It’s not an attack, it’s just the truth. I prefer my smaller boobs, and work out hard so they don’t get bigger. They’re the first thing to grow when I gain weight or get pregnant. 🙂 So I’m not trying to boob-shame. Through a friend who specializes in breast cancer treatments, I have known women who were so scared of getting their breasts removed that they chose/were going to chose to die instead from cancer. Thankfully, with reconstruction options available now this is less common. I think public knowledge of reconstruction is very important, as it gets women into the doctor when they find a lump.
Reconstructive surgery should not be treated as if it is this frivolous thing. Reconstruction allows women to battle cancer while at the same time maintaining a healthy sense of self esteem and connection to their sexuality.
I’ve never seen her get a pass for anything – on the CONTRARY in fact. She is attacked for the slightest thing and never gets a pass for anything. Maybe you should stop making stuff up.

You are correct. The other thing I remember about Gia is that Jolie’s breasts were slightly different sizes and they weren’t that perky. I loved it because that is what many a real breasts look like. She was no bigger than a C.
As someone who has a ‘modest B cup’ i can tell you that no way Angelina had boobs as small as mine. Even with a push up bra.
And i am slim so i can adjust for body shape/size to make that judgement.
I think they project more than they used to. But are probably still the same size. They haven’t dropped yet, remember. That takes up to a year to happen.

When Angelina talked about her procedure in that Times article she said something about a surgery that was able to save the nipple since they were cancer free.
Well, Angie wrote in op-ed that they were able to save her nipples, during her procedure.
There are different ways to go about it. One of my friends who specializes in breast cancer treatment said that it sounded like she did a “blood flush” where they keep the nipple, but that also increases your risk for breast cancer (as compared with a typical mastectomy). I think AJ said the mastectomy decreased her risk to about 15%, but according to my friend, keeping the nips would increase that risk by about 10% (equalling about 25% risk).
(**Disclaimer, I am paraphrasing and I might have lost something in translation! Very serious issue, had to note that!)
Nipples are usually removed as they are composed of breast tissue, with milk ducts, etc. and can be a site for cancer to develop. Arreolas on the other hand are just pigmented skin & can be saved. If not saved, they can be replicated by tattooing the skin, after healing from all surgeries. Replacement nipples are formed by putting a few stitches into an appropriately placed pinch of skin. Have to choose though whether to have them protrude & how much, because that won’t change, ever. No longer responsive to heat, cold, or stimulation.
Also the implants size doesn’t change with weight gain or loss. A relatively small weight loss can make the implanted breasts look bigger.
It was announced by her doctor that the double mastectomy reduced her risk down to 7%. Had she also opted to lose the nipples (where cancer could potentially develop) she would have reduced the risk all the way down to 2% or 3%. Both percentages are lower than that of the general population.
Her boobs look bigger. And holy nipples! Is she wearing a bra? I wonder if it’s a result of the surgery? (I really don’t know much about breast implants). Maddox has some serious style, love his pants. Definitely dresses like his dad.
Angelina looks great, though I’m not particularly keen on that shade of color on her hair. Not bad, mind you, but darker shades look nicer on her. Maddox looks like the world traveller that he is – adorable. And oh yes – here we go with Nipplegate again. I will never live long enough to understand what people – ironically mostly women – find so offensive about visable nipples and gravitational breasts that they boob-shame you into bandaging and hoisting them in a bra. I understand some women, particularly large-breasted women, are more physically comfortable in a bra. Good. Comfort is good. Bt some women are more comfortable without a bra. Nipples aren’t a secret. We have them. They poke out. Oooooooh.
Ha. I think for the most part people don’t care, in my case I’m just curious about the results of her surgery. I read her doctor’s detailed blog about all the preparation and procedures that went into her mastectomy and breast implant/reconstruction (including saving the nipples). She’s really the only mega-star and world figure to be so public about it, and for people that are unfamiliar with the whole process we’re curious about the results. Even nipples!
She needs you to focus on the boobs so you don’t look at her receded hairline. It’s almost to the middle of her head.

Ha. I love it. Angelina and Maddox look like semi-goth film stars. He looks like he is getting to be quite tall, right?
It’s amazing how all of their children are so adorable. Can you imagine if one of them was plain, and then having to grow up with adorable siblings and Angelina and Brad? That would have been tough on the self-esteem. But obviously that is not the case with any of them.
I am really excited for Maleficient. I was just thinking that none of the current under 30 stars can live up to Angelina, Charlize, George, Brad, and Matt.

I had a bilateral mastectomy 6 years ago with implant reconstruction, and when it comes to size you make a guess on what size implant you get, there is no formula. My implants were 550ccs and on me I’m about a 36 c or so but on someone else they could be a d cup or larger. It depends on your ribcage width and shape, and many other factors. I was a c cup before surgery but without any breast tissue it’s just implant under skin so they re a very unnatural shape and look much different than a natural breast.
Her boobs might look bigger only because she isn’t wearing a bra. I know my boobs appear larger when they aren’t harnesses in by a bra!!
WHY DOES SHE ALWAYS WEAR BLACK? Don’t get me wrong she looks chic but it’s beginning to creep me out. Does she have OCD?
She’s said that she wears mainly black and neutrals because it’s easier to pick something out to wear really quick, and that everything mostly goes together.
It’s just a time thing, plus I suspect she doesn’t really care about clothes.
But I do wish she’d wear more color too.
In all the years I have watched Angelina I have never seen her on high beam with the nipples. She just doesn’t do that. If they are showing now I suspect it has something to do with her surgery. She had a procedure done to save her nipples, perhaps a bra irritates them now. One thing I’m sure of, she isn’t doing it for attention, like someone else we know. Whatever the reason for them showing now I think it is mean to criticize her after what she’s been through. Especially since she has been so open about it in an effort to help other women.

I can’t believe how much judgment I’m seeing over a woman’s decision to proactively lower her chance of developing cancer. It’s freaking disgusting.
I just did some math. Can you imagine seven years from now, Brad and Angie are going to have six teenagers in the house?!

Maddox looks older than he is. I hope all of those kids grow up into decent, caring people and not the usual type of over-entitled, bratty hollywood kids. Here’s hoping.
Has anyone given a thought to the fact that these may be prosthesis breasts, that she is still undergoing the surgeries required (they can take many months to complete due to tissue expanders, possibility of complication/infection etc). Most women who undergo mastectomy do not have the reconstruction straight away, many have to wait up to two years to have it completed, and it’s usually due to health of the individual, the breast tissue health, etc etc.
I don’t get all the nipple hate.
They’re just nipples. Everyone has them.
