Lauren Silverman claims Simon Cowell ‘wants a girl very badly’ after son Eric

It’s not that I feel sorry for Lauren Silverman per se. It’s just that it’s sort of fascinatingly horrifying to see what she has to do to stay on top of the Harem Pile. These are photos of Lauren and Simon Cowell at the launch of the London Cabaret Club a few nights ago. Simon looks Botoxed, exhausted and really, really gross. I don’t get why he can’t button his shirt appropriately. As you may remember, Lauren and Simon had an affair while she was married. The affair ended up with Lauren getting pregnant. A quickie divorce was granted (I believe Simon paid off her husband) and Lauren has pretty much left her older son in NYC with his father while she goes off gallivanting with Simon, trying to stay on top of the Harem Pile. So what does Lauren have to say about all of this? She’s super-happy. And Simon wants another baby.

Simon Cowell is keen to have another baby and is hoping for a girl this time, according to his girlfriend Lauren Silverman. The 36-year-old US socialite, who is mother to their three-month-old son Eric, told Daily Mirror that Simon was an ‘amazing’ dad and said that they definitely plan to have more children.

‘I would like one more,’ she revealed. ‘I think it will be a girl. Simon wants a girl very badly.’

Lauren added that Eric’s birth had felt like a blessing as she had believed she may not be able to have any more children. She already has a son, Adam, who lives with her ex-husband Andrew Silverman in New York.

‘Simon is an amazing dad, he does all the nappies, very hands-on,’ she pointed out before reiterating how much she loves him. Asked how her older son was dealing with the new addition to his mother’s life, Lauren said that Adam was very adoring of the baby and that seeing the two of them together was fantastic. Lauren is now splitting her time between New York and London where she is based with Simon and their new baby Eric.

The paper also reports that at the West London event Simon himself admitted that being a new father was not exactly tiring him out as the couple had hired a nanny to help them cope.

[From The Daily Mail]

Well… okay. Maybe Lauren Silverman is just what Simon needed. Maybe she has what all of his previous girlfriends were lacking: the drive to do whatever it takes to be #1. Even if Simon doesn’t really want another baby, I’m guessing that Lauren is still going to “try”. And hey, maybe she’s telling the truth. Maybe Simon does want a little girl. Fatherhood does seem to have softened him a bit. And not just in his moobs.

His head looks like it doesn’t belong on his body in those pictures.

    • Mel M says:

Totally. His entire upper body doesn’t look like it belongs on those tiny legs, he’s so disproportionate looking.

      • kri says:

For the love of baby Jesus, WHAT is wrong with his face?!? And I swear he is the male KK. Cover that shit UP already, please. Hairy cleavage belongs to no one, Simon. We don’t want it, take it and go. I will send him some buttons if anyone has his address.

  2. MisJes says:

Pfft. I’m fairly certain that this is just wishful, gold-digger thinking.

  3. Tapioca says:

Well, I’ve never met a “hands-on” parent who desperately wants another one three months in! They all have that same haunted look in their eyes that says they’d take a full night’s kip over literally ANYTHING.

    • Audrey says:

      Lol truth

I rolled my eyes when she called diapers nappies.

She’s American, they’re diapers. Quit trying so hard

      • taylr says:

it’s from the daily mail. they probably printed “nappies” instead of “diapers.” they always print the UK version of a word if it’s an American speaking.

  4. NewWester says:

Let’s see, their baby Eric is the “heir” and the second child would be the “spare” Does this woman think she is a member of the Royal Family? Have to give her points for making sure she is set for life. I wonder how her older son feels about all of this?

  5. Nikki says:

What happened to her first son? Has she completely abandoned the kid? I know he’s not allowed to be around Simon, and she seems to be only around Simon. So for her to be talking about more children has got to be hurtful to the boy, when he lost a full-time mother over this.

    • Jayna says:

She has shared custody with her husband, so two weeks with one, then two weeks with the other. Paps don’t care about her when she is off with her son.

      • HappyMom says:

I don’t know about that. There’s always a LOT of speculation about her older son since she seems to just jet around with Simon all of the time.

    • TG says:

I doubt her first son even notices her absence. It isn’t like she was being a full-time mom with him when she was married to his dad. This gold-digging selfish creature only parents when it benefits her I imagine. I mean look at the numerous photos there are of her and that gross simon walking with their baby with the baby facing away from them. I have never seen that done. So she has taken famewhoring to a new low.

    • Lilly says:

Would you ask these questions if a man left his children from a previous relationship?

    • Belle Epoch says:

NIKKI I always think about the first son, too! At one point she was ready to dump him completely and move to CA with Simon. Poor kid. You never get over being abandoned by your own mother. He’ll always wonder “why didn’t she love me? What’s wrong with me?”

I detest everything about this woman. She cares about no one and is a giant lying liar about EVERYTHING.

  6. PHD Gossip says:

Looks like Simon bought her bigger boobs recently.

    • snowflake says:

or maybe it’s baby weight that’s still hanging around? that’s what I thought.

    • BendyWindy says:

Or…she just had a baby. Shortly after giving birth my A-cup swelled to a double D, until my kids were weaned a year later.

  7. Aussie girl says:

If my partner left the house wearing what Simon was wearing I wouldn’t make it to the car from laughing do hard! Wow!

  8. Aussie girl says:

If my partner left the house wearing what Simon was wearing I wouldn’t make it to the car from laughing so hard! Wow!

    • I KNOW, RIGHT!?!? Why does he insist on wearing Johnny Weir’s ice skating warmups all the time? Or no, wait….he’s a ballroom dancer! It’s latin dance night at the Arthur Murray studio ladies, and Instructor Simon is going to show you how to do the lambada….the FORBIDDEN DANCE. To mark the occasion, he is wearing what should be a forbidden shirt and pants combo.

  9. Patricia says:

I hate when people say “we want one more because we want a boy/girl”. It’s so asanine! Don’t they really think that because the first is a boy, the second has a higher probability of being a girl?
I come from a family of three girls, my husband comes from a family of three boys. The families of my cousins: one has three girls, one has three boys, the other two are mixed. There’s no way to guarantee that you won’t end up with all boys, Simon!!
    So dumb.

    • AmyR says:

Yes! And it’s even more ridiculous when they predict the gender of the next child before conception! I get making predictions while pregnant that the child is the opposite gender than the first child, especially if the second pregnancy feels or looks much different than the first, though that is far from a sure thing either. But predicting the next child will be a girl just based on the desire for a girl? I may as well predict it will be sunny on my birthday because I like sunshine.

  10. Jayna says:

When you really want a little girl, it doesn’t happen sometimes. My friend ended up having four boys. She always wanted three or four children, but thought she would have one or two girls in the mix. She loves her little guys and is a great mom, but she was homecoming queen and everything and was so pretty and was one of the best people I have ever known, so kind and nonjudgmental. I always imagined her with a little girl, too, but it just never happened for her.

Lauren said they plan to have another child. She didn’t say right way.

  11. feebee says:

A kid may have ‘softened’ Cowell for now but it won’t be long before he grows up and sees footage of old American Idol and realizes it not just him.

Having another baby when you want one particular gender ‘very badly’ isn’t always a good idea because even though you’ll love your baby wholeheartedly there might always be that thing in the back of your head.

I don’t have high hopes for this lasting as a relationship no matter how dedicated she is to being #1. When one stops tangoing it’s over.

  12. Dee says:

If Simon wants a girl so badly, why not adopt? Preferably an unwanted child. That way he’s helping a child and fulfilling his own wishes at the same time.

    • Amanda_M87 says:

Good idea, but these people are probably too selfish and egotistical to do that.

  13. GeeMoney says:

Well, she’s gotta keep her golddigging game going… so why not try and have another kid?!?!?

And… what about her other son? Does she even see him? Shouldn’t he be living with her full time?

    • Sola says:

Welcome to 2014…..Fathers are parents too…

    • Original Lee says:

Maybe the son wanted to live with his father? If Lauren is in London, and the son grew up in NYC, he would probably prefer to stay in NYC. Lauren chose to uproot her life, her son doesn’t have to.

    • I know, right? She’s angling for a couple extra zeroes on her child support check when Simon dumps her.

  14. als says:

Maybe she is the Amal to his George…

  15. Jacqueline says:

I’ve never known a man who has treated women the way that Cowell does, to wish for a baby girl. Reformed or not, those kinds of guys are afraid of their past coming back to haunt them through a daughter.

  16. truthful says:

now what is she really attracted too??? loot
good luck to her and all that comes w/that package.

  17. Side-Eye says:

Why are they prancing around as though they’re this regular happy couple and aren’t products of a man screwing his best friend’s wife.

    • dorothy says:

      Yes!

    • People who start relationships that way have a lot longer to adjust to the idea. They forget that the rest of us only know them as a “couple” once they decide to come clean. To them, they’ve been together for ages. Because that’s how long they were screwing.

  18. LAK says:

Kaiser: that first sentence…..exactly how i feel about her. What are the chances she’ll gift Simon with a girl next time? or one of the harem will?

  19. dorothy says:

    They’re just gross.

  20. A:) old prude says:

I was just thinking where the hell her Ist child is. and you answered it. It’s so gross that she left her kid so she can fame whore and be a gold digger to another rich famous man. How the hell do you explain this to your kid? Sorry son, a bigger whale came along so you serve no purpose for mama as she can get more from another baby, toddles see ya! Being a gold digger is 1 thing (I don’t judge them normally) but using a child as a commodity to get monthly pay check and dump him when a bigger one came along is all kinds of disgusting and appalling.

I must though Simon seems like the better person between the two and more involved and much better father then I thought he will be. Who thought he will be the better/good parent, goes on to prove people we judge daily still has the capability to surprise us.

  21. Ivy Vine says:

Uggg please do up your shirt Simon. I could never be drunk enough to touch that.

    • It is so bad it’s actually good, isn’t it? How does he go out in public in that and not just part crowds like Moses!? I give him full marks for the comedy factor, which is really what I live for.
