Kerry Katona Held Hostage

kerrykatona.jpgA masked gang has held Kerry Katona, former member of Atomic Kitten, her taxi-driver husband Mark Croft, and 5-month-old baby Heidi hostage during a robbery.

All three family members were then secured in a downstairs room while the robbers carried out the burglary and fled. Katona and Croft later managed to escape and raise the alarm.

“They have not been harmed but were left shaken and their ordeal has lasted for around half an hour,” a Cheshire Police spokeswoman said.

The robbers got away with two televisions, including a 42 inch plasma screen TV, an Xbox and a Playstation 3 gaming machines, jewellery and watches.

They also took the family’s top-of-the-range blue BMW M5 sports car which the couple had only had for a few weeks.

But were they looking for drugs? Kerry has a well-known history of addiction, and recently her alleged drug dealer, Leighton Ogden, says that she goes on drug binges and neglects the children. He said this in exchange for money to News of the World, so who knows if that’s true.

Kerry’s two other children were not at home, staying with her ex-husband Brian McFadden’s parents. They are currently involved in a custody dispute following the drug dealer’s story.

Brian applied for custody of the girls, Molly aged five and Lilly-Sue aged four, saying “Yes, it’s true — I am seeking custody. I want my daughters back.” This would make his current girlfriend, 22-year-old Australian songstress Delta Goodrem, an instant mother.

Kerry says he’s doing it to help his flagging career.

“It’s a shame Brian is so desperate that he has to use me and the children for coverage. “The last time he did this the social services came round and gave me a clean bill of health. Brian isn’t around. He hasn’t been for years. If it helps resurrect his career that died long ago then I wish him all the luck in the world.”

What drama in just three weeks? I love it. Love it.
