Bigly Trump is ‘shocked’ that ladies have heard of Susan B. Anthony

Here are some photos of Emperor Bigly Baby Fists and Lady Bigly Fists yesterday in the White House. They attended a Women’s Empowerment Panel at the White House, an event in honor of Women’s History Month. Melania looks like she’s wearing a trenchcoat, possibly to signal that she had her eye on the exits and was looking to make a quick getaway. Really though, this is considering a “coat dress.” It’s by The Row, Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen’s high-end line. But the belt, you guys. The belt changes this look from coatdress to just “coat.”

Meanwhile, at this event, Bigly made a little speech to all the ungrabbed ladies out there. Bigly wonders if you’ve ever heard of Susan B. Anthony?

I’m fairly certain that he meant this as a joke? Like, am I actually defending Bigly? No, I’m not defending him. I just think he’s actually self-aware enough to make a little joke, maybe? Maybe I’m giving him too much credit. Maybe he really believes Frederick Douglass is doing good work and getting noticed more and more and that even Freddy D thinks Suzy B is mad baller.

In other Bigly news, here are some other stories to remind you that this life is nothing more than a hellscape:

The Muslim Ban 2.0. The 2.0 version was never even put into action on the ground because federal judges were like “fail, bitch.” Now a federal judge has extended the restraining order indefinitely. Good.

The Department of Energy. The DOE can’t use the words “climate change” anymore. In our new Orwellian adventure, we can no longer use words we no longer want to hear. I assume that “baby hands” will be next on the list of banned words. This news came after Bigly signed an EO which guts Obama-era environmental regulations. Bigly’s anti-environment push is so bad that even the executives of Exxonmobil is like “dude, think of the environment!”

Dubya’s thoughts. Dubya reportedly said “that was some weird sh-t” after Bigly’s inauguration.

Bigly doesn’t care about LGBTQ people. The 2020 Census will not be asking any LGBTQ-related questions.

The pig himself probably only just heard of Susan B. Anthony and stupidly believes that we little womenfolk are even more ignorant than he is. Melania likely never heard of her and Princess Nagina the Corrupt of the Most Sacred Horcruxed Vagina only knows of the dark side.

    • vauvert says:

If it doesn’t put $$$ in their pocket, they don’t know of it. If it ain’t gilded, it’s not pretty. If they slap the word “unpaid” or “unofficial” on, they think they fool everyone – but we see through their master level grifting. It’s only Trumpsters who are dumb enough to buy their shlock. It’s not enough a good con – I could appreciate that. Their lies are so transparent and obvious, it’s painful…
I have never actively hated people this much. It’s unhealthy but I’m afraid that turning off the anger will mean acceptance and that would be terrible.

      • Lightpurple says:

People who are usually calm, well-mannered, centered, peaceful are being driven to distraction by this scum. A friend who owns a yoga studio and is one of the most measured, rational people I’ve ever met told me that she’s taken up boxing because, for the first time in her life, she needs to hit something or she can’t think straight.

      • Louisa says:

I’ve been thinking how unhealthy my hatred and anger are right now. Just this morning I was screaming at the radio in the car when they were talking about the banning of using the term “climate change”. It’s rage inducing and I don’t know what to do about it. I’ve been protesting, calling, e-mailing but it’s not working. I started running again and I find that helps a little. Made a goal to be NYC marathon ready by November. I just need something to keep my mind off this hell.

      • KB says:

I have to limit my time on Twitter and how much time I spend reading about him. I get the jist of it all and then I have to step away for my own mental health. I felt guilty at first, but it helps me to stay informed, otherwise I’d completely burn out.

    • Relli says:

Princess Nagina the Corrupt of the Most Sacred Horcruxed Vagina 😂😂😂

    • Betsy says:

Oh, how I wish they’d release that kompromat to the appropriate people. Not the tinkle tapes, but the real kompromat. The Nagina kompromat. Because who would care about tinkle tapes? But Nagina? That would be something with which to blackmail the Cheeto.

      • Bootsie says:

Sorry for my ignorance, but what’s Nagina? What is that referencing? I thought I (unfortunately) knew all the many ways Trump was unfit to be human. What is Nagina?
Thanks in advance for any answers 🙂

      • AnnaKist says:

Not being American, I’m with Bootsie. I’d like to know what this is all about, too. Ta.

      • Splinter says:

        Those are Harry Potter refferences.

      • frisbee says:

Angina was Voldemort’s snake and his most treasured Horcrux (recepticle to hide one part of his soul that he had split into seven pieces) I have just realised autocorrect has transformed Nagina into Angina which is strangely apt. I’ve also just realised I know far too much about Harry Potter for a woman of my age.

The first step to making a group of people “vanish” is to stop counting them and proving their existence.

I tried watching that video of him, I really did, but I can’t stand the sound of his voice and had to turn it off.

    • Mgsota says:

I don’t watch any video clips of him, I haven’t purposefully listened to his voice since Nov. 10th.

      • AnnaKist says:

I cannot watch or listen to the tw*t, either, Mgsota. I’m waiting for my favourite band to release their next album. I’ve a feeling t will be crammed with lyrics about this hell Americans are trapped in.

  3. Mgsota says:

    “Fail, bitch” 😂😂

I’m getting that on a tshirt with Easy D’s picture on it.

  4. PunkyMomma says:

As a taxpayer (which Cheeto Mussolini & family are obviously not), I would gladly fork over hard earned dollars to gold plate a few prison toilets to ensure these grifters feel at home.

    • Cannibell says:

The orange jumpsuits should do that – no need to go overboard.

    • RussianBlueCat says:

They don’t deserve toilets, just give them plastic buckets spray painted gold. Then bill them for the spray paint

      • Shirleygail says:

Dear RBCat~ that could work! but only if, when we invoice them for the spray paint, we mark it up $1000+ percent!!

  5. Becky says:

It’s interesting that the word Orwellian is being used in relation to Trump particularly. George Orwell was so prophetic; doublethink can be compared to alternativefacts.

    • INeedANap says:

Every time some dude-bro wants to whine and cry that they’re being “censored” because they can’t use bigoted slurs, I want to smack them over the face with this news.

The government is literally censoring a science research department. That’s censorship.

      • Melly says:

If someone’s political stance requires preventing scientists from informing you about your own planet, that’s not politics, it’s oppression.

  6. grabbyhands says:

I have no problem believing that he would be surprised that women knew who Susan B Anthony was. He himself probably wasn’t aware of her until about 10 minutes before he made the statement. Besides, she was old and not a 10, so let’s be real-she’s not even worth talking about, amirite?

I feel bad for the women who had to be present for this panel-hosted by a sexual predator and his trophy wife. It must have been galling to be presented with a Women of Courage award by a woman whose biggest accomplishment is marrying a wealthy fascist.

    • Maria says:

yes, can there be anything more cynical than him speaking at a Women’s empowerment event. I have no words.

    • third ginger says:

Thanks for calling her a “trophy wife” I do not believe this is anti-feminist. It is simply the truth.

  7. hoopjumper says:

The Census won’t be the only government data set no longer asking about LGBT status. NHANES admins have also been instructed to remove the question.

F*cking homophobes. Secretary Price doesn’t want to know anything about gay people that he doesn’t have to.

    • Lightpurple says:

No, but he may be gone within a year. Investigations into his corruption and insider trading continue.

    • adastraperaspera says:

I figured this might happen, and it makes me sad on a personal level. My marriage is finally legal, and I file taxes jointly with my partner, and we live in the same household. So being the nerd I am, I was really looking forward to filling all this out on the census. Also, having done historical research before, I know that census data is one important way to show we were actually here. The insults and degradations just keep coming, folks.

      • third ginger says:

Many good wishes for you. Our daughter is gay. The morning after the election, I called her {she’s 24, lives with her long time girlfriend] and blurted out “I will never let anyone hurt you.” Usually she would make fun of me, but she just said “Thanks, Mommy.” This horror show is bad for everyone in different ways, but for the LGBT community, parents, and allies, it is terrifying. Trump, of course, does not actually care, but Pence is a virulent homophobe whose attacks on the community were shamefully not covered by the media during the campaign.

      • hoopjumper says:

Sending you good vibes. Take care.

  8. Frida_K says:

The applause in the background was tepid. He was not charming the audience by any means.

I wish that Maxine Waters had been in the audience. She would have downed him with a Death Ray Glare of Doom.

I wonder if his daughter-wife *cough* I mean, his Personal Assistant, wrote this speech for him. After all, she’s a feminist icon and crusader and stuff. Bigly!

    • Lightpurple says:

I suspect Kellyanne wrote it for him. I doubt Princess Nagina knows who Susan B. Anthony is. She didn’t design clothes that could be ripped off.

      • WendyNerd says:

Nah, she knows. She’s always marketed herself as a supposed feminist and “crusader for women.” Anthony’s name is always the first to be co-opted by jackasses who wanted to pretend they care about women. In that way, she’s sort of like the MLK of Women’s RIghts (and like MLK, these people know little to nothing about her and the things she actually did/said. Like the fact that she was a giant racist, for instance). See: The Susan B. Anthony List. If something fits into Ivanka’s “brand”, she’ll know the name. “Elizabeth Blackwell” is where she’ll draw a blank.

Anyone seen that video of his OCD behavior? It’s worth taking a look at, quite funny. He’s always claiming his space even going on to other people’s space to claim theirs as his.

Btw, let’s pray that the Senate get to the bottom of the Russia/Trump collusion into the General election 11/8/16.

On an entirely separate note, a new trove of letters written by Susan B. Anthony and other suffragists has been discovered.
    https://www.nytimes.com/2017/03/29/arts/womens-suffrage-collection-susan-b-anthony.html?_r=0

  12. Relli says:

Normally I would agree with you that it was a joke. BUT I have seen the video of him saying the Abraham Lincoln was a republican and not not many people know that. 🙄 Dude just because you DIdN’T know that doesn’t mean other people didn’t either. I no believe when he says “people” he is talking about the voices in his head.

Good article related to our soap opera, “As The Walls Close.”

  14. Lucy2 says:

I’ve heard of Susan B. Anthony- isn’t she married to that Frederick Douglass guy?

  15. Tui says:

Trump’s a d*ck, but please let’s not view George W. Bush with any nostalgic fondness. He’s partly the reason that so many people are currently displaced or living in a hellscape.

    • Beth says:

When W is getting fondness, it shows how bad things really are going

    • Fiorella says:

Also his war and its side effects like Isis kind of a big deal I think

    • Kitten says:

Ok ITA and you won’t see me going to bat for GW. OR Lindsay Graham. OR John McCain….

That being said, GW DID do a few good things during his presidency, including his work in South Sudan. I mean, at the very least he pretended to care about people outside of the United States.

And I think it’s ok to say that 70 days in (or however f*cking long it’s been) the Trump presidency has already been FAR worse. GW seems like a moderate compared to the current incarnation of the GOP, Bannon and his cabinet of liberty pirates.

That is NOT to diminish the mistakes made by GW Bush of which there were many, but when you see what’s happening now policy-wise–the pillaging of domestic programs, destruction of the environment which will cause IRREPERABLE (not hyperbole guys) damage to the US and the rest of the world, the attempt to leave Americans without healthcare or a proper education, the blatant DISREGARD for the needs of Americans in favor of lining Big Corp’s pockets as well as those of the Trump family—I’m sorry there is just no comparison. Bush sucked for sure but Trump is a nightmare.

Trump will go down in history as the worst American president, worse than GW Bush, worse than Nixon.

  16. Mel says:

I’m glad to see this because this morning when I watched the video of his speech, I was offended when he said that.
I was like “Dude, we’re not the morons you hang out with. We actually are educated”.
I also came to the conclusion that it was the first time he said her name out loud and that’s why it came out like a question.
    Pathetic.
I have no problem believing that he “learned a lot” when the ACA repeal failed HARD.
It’s called politics 101. Only problem is, he’s taking the class while at the helm of an actual country!

  17. Diana says:

😂 at the Dubya story…. 😱🤢😭 at what this administration will do and has done to this country, her inhabitants, friends and neighbors. It’s

  18. SusanneToo says:

He wasn’t joking. He’s a profoundly stupid man. He has no interest in anything or anybody that doesn’t revolve around him, him, him.

    • swak says:

Guess when they made the Susan B. Anthony dollar coin he ignored it.

      • Lightpurple says:

A coin? He does not handle coins! Be gone with your Susan B. Anthony coins! Be gone with your Sacagawea coins! Oh wait, that one’s shiny. Dangle it in front of him for the next hour and see if we can hypnotize him into resigning.

      • Shirleygail says:

        Love you, Lightpurple! LOL

  19. robyn says:

I’m shocked that so-called president Trump and p*ssygrabber in chief became the leader of the free world and I blame all his supporters and every single one of his uninformed, selfish, sexist and racist voters. Trump disqualified himself from the get go but people were willing to overlook that … just as they are willing to overlook the fact that Russia interfered bigly with the American democratic process. All his voters should move to Russia if they think Putin is harmless and what he does throughout the world is no big deal. Trump supporters make me sick. And by the way, has anyone even noticed that more and more innocent people are being killed by America. Does anyone care?

  20. Christin says:

Instead of ‘spring forward’, seems the clocks have been set back to 1917.

  21. Giddy says:

Regarding Dubya thinking that the inauguration was weird: it could have been so much worse. Rachel Maddox reported that the Trump team asked about adding military hardware to the inaugural parade. Imagine tanks and missile batteries rolling down Pennsylvania Avenue. So very soviet! After this was reported they denied it, but there are emails proving they inquired. Bigly boy wanted bigly toys!

  22. trollontheloose says:

I feel bad and I am mad for the LGBT community. Basically it’s “You don’t exist. You have no rights in adoptions, nor put your partner in your health cover, nor your will as a spouse” etc…

  23. Beth says:

I really hope this was a joke. In this picture, Trump isn’t even holding her finger. There doesn’t ever seem to be any love or interest from them

  24. Rapunzel says:

On a another note, Bigly boy Trump just declared war on the Freedom Caucus on Twitter.
    @realDonaldTrump
“The Freedom Caucus will hurt the entire Republican agenda if they don’t get on the team, & fast. We must fight them, & Dems, in 2018! ”
Grab your popcorn cause the GOP infighting will be spectacular.

  25. BJ says:

She is like my great aunt she wears her coat and carries her “pocketbook” at all times.Because when she is ready to leave, she leaves.LOL

  26. Betsy says:

Fun info: I called my representatives yesterday to let them know (again) that the Russia-Trump ties need to be investigated intensively and then I thought I would call Nunes to ask him to recuse himself. And what do you know but you can’t leave a message or reach him via phone at any of his offices. They either don’t work or the mailbox is full or it just rings and rings and rings.

So guess who’s getting some postcards! : D

    • Lightpurple says:

The Republican Party had unwittingly brought back snail mail with a vengeance. And somebody has to log in all that mail.

  27. graymatters says:

So we can’t use the term “climate change” anymore. Got it. It would be more accurate to refer to the situation as “political malfeasance” anyway.

The increase in hurricane activity is largely due to political malfeasance.

Scientists work with economists to put a price on the effects of political malfeasance in the United States.

Political malfeasance is a hot topic at the US-Russia summit as diplomats hammer out an energy deal.

    • Kitten says:

The benefit/cost analysis model that they use to measure the effects of climate change is all thanks to Obama. That’s gone now BTW. Trump’s administration said they don’t need to know.

      • graymatters says:

I’m so angry at this administration’s disregard for facts. They don’t need to know how many people don’t identify as heterosexual. They don’t need to know about the future cost of pollution. They don’t need to know how poverty affects children. All they need to jump to a conclusion and create crap legislation is their bigoted view of the world and a (national) forest’s worth of propaganda to convert more people to the deplorable’s cause.

      • Kitten says:

Yup. Willfully blind because recording the results of scientific research could impede unfettered capitalism.

And I know it’s all awful–all of it–but what they are doing to the environment is absolutely unconscionable.

        Coal ISN’T coming back! JFC

These assholes want their precious shitty jobs at the expense of every other American, our ecosystem, the atmosphere, the planet, our federal and/or sovereign lands. Carbon emissions remain in the atmosphere for 200 years. PERMANENT DAMAGE WILL BE DONE. F*ck even the Vatican issued an official statement saying they hope Trump changes his (anti) climate change policy.

It will take a couple years at least as these changes go through the court system but in the meantime, we are not recording the effects of carbon emissions and we are turning “climate change” into a forbidden term. It guts me. This whole thing has me in a rage like I’ve never felt before.

      • SusanneToo says:

They’re so greedy for the dirty dollars from the polluters that they DGAF about their grandchildren, great-grandchildren, etc. and certainly not for anyone else.

  28. AnotherDirtyMartini says:

He is so gd stupid. Someone above says that HE probably never heard of Susan B. Anthony before, so that’s why he’s shocked. Bingo! And Drumpf did this same thing last month regarding Frederick Douglass. Never heard of him! Spoke as though Mr. Douglass were still alive! 😮 I honestly think Drumpf has a very low IQ.

  29. Hazel says:

Well, he hasn’t banned the other federal agencies from discussing climate change, so the Forest Service, Park Service, BLM, & etc can carry on the fight.

  30. someone says:

Of course he is shocked, because he is an asshat!!!

  33. Christin says:
