Amid all the horrible news that makes me sick to my stomach whenever I read or hear it, there’s some humor to be found in the predictably absurd. Enter Tori Spelling, who posted a body positivity message along with an obviously altered photo of herself in a bathing suit. We get it. She had her fifth baby last year, she’s 45 and her body didn’t snap back like it used to. She looks fine to me and completely normal but she’s surely self conscious about it because she’s posting messages like this along with a clumsily photoshopped picture. I’m including the text below the image because she already deleted this IG post.
After having my 5th baby I have to admit my body didn’t bounce back the way it did with the first 4! But I’ve been working at it and eating and playing to live my best life and I feel like it’s showing. Back in a one piece minus the coverup or shorts. [Dean] makes me feel great about myself no matter what weight I’m at. And I’m finally loving seeing my hard work start to pay off! Thanks Body! We got this!

I use Photoshop Elements on my Macbook as it costs less than $100 but Tori is never frugal so I would bet she has regular Photoshop. There are all sorts of tutorials for making people look thinner but it looks like someone just used the smudge and clone tools here and called it a day. WTF is up with her face? She looks like a cat. Her jawline is all weird. The pattern on the side of her bathing suit is all blurry.
After Tori got called out for this she posed for paparazzi photos in that bathing suit because of course she did. She called the guy she knows and arranged for the pics and I’m sure she made some money because they’re exclusives. You can see them here. I would be slightly amused by all this but we live in a world where Tori Spelling owes millions of dollars she has no intention of paying back and she still gets paid for manufacturing controversy. She also gets free vacations for posting about them. So f-k her. I guess I’m back to being mad now.
I wonder how much she paid for her daughter’s birthday party or if she got that comped too. Also look at all the hashtags.
Forget her body, I am aghast at her face. She looks completely unrecognizable in that shot. Is that Photoshop too?
She kind of looks like teen moms biggest jerk Farrah Abraham in that first shot.

Luckily I have no idea what Farrah Abraham looks like, but I feel bad for her if she looks anything like this. Tori was never a bombshell to begin with, but she’s aging horribly.
She looks terrible. Honestly, she was never a great beauty but she was very cute IMO when she was on 90210. Obviously I don’t expect her to look like she did 25 years ago, but she needs to stop effin with her face because this is BAD.
At this point I think she’s ruined her face to the point that if she stopped maintaining the work she’d look worse. Some people can stupidly stretch out their face with implants and extremely bad fillers and have it all snap right back once it’s removed/worn off, but I don’t think Tori is one of those lucky people.
Apparently, you’re wrong on her not being a great beauty because many of the tons and tons of paparazzi photos posted were captioned with things like “the beauty looks at her phone,” and “she wore her blonde locks in an elegant but simple bun.” Also tons of captions about what a doting mother she is and how she is “lovingly and carefully holding her son in the pool.” The captions were hilarious! And what is so ironic is that if she staged all these pictures to prove how good she really does look, then she failed miserably. There were tens of photos with her mouth open, or with a double chin, or bent over her phone which is a bad look for anyone (try taking a selfie with your phone held at your belly button).
There were times she looked attractive though…Mostly when she’s not trying to be the blonde pin-up that she’s not. I thought she looked fantastic with dark red hair during her 90210 days. She also looks a lot better with glasses on…I think they help with her long face.
Agree, she was cute on 90210. That girl is long gone, she just looks sad and desperate now.

Why indeed. I’ve been to Palm Springs many times, my brother and his partner own a bar there, and I wasn’t familiar with the Riviera. It’s actually not that high priced compared to some PS properties. And it’s off season now so they probably got a reduced price. Still, it’s money they shouldn’t be spending even if some of it was comped.
I went to a conference at the old Riviera, just before they rebuilt it. You are right about it being a mid-priced property. Their whole marketing strategy was based on the Rat Pack and other 1960s era guests. Maybe they’ve now moved up to the 1990s!
You are right about the timing – a store owner told us that the crowds dwindle once May/June arrive.
Also, it was a bit off the beaten path from most businesses, at least walking distance-wise. If I ever go back to PS (which I would love to do), I’d prefer to stay a few blocks closer to the hub.

She’s obviously able to scrounge up the cash for endless cosmetic procedures. She was never really a beauty by HW standards but she was cute/pretty. This is just awful & sad. Wow.
ITA She was never a beauty but she had the type of face and bone-structure that WITHOUT procedures, surgeries, botox, fillers etc., she would have looked just fine at the age of 45. But of course she had to mess it all up. Same goes to Brandi Glanville who would have been so attractive even with some wrinkles etc., but now looks like a clown.
Those DM pap shots do her no favour. Her makeup caked face looks ghastly, and she clearly is not proud of her swimsuit clad figure, hence the shorts. Not only did she mess with her figure in that pic, but she shaved off parts of her face and neck, to appear thinner, and only succeeded in altering her appearance entirely!
She is heading into Jocelyn Wildenstein territory with her face. What must her children think? Messy messy messy!
The first swim suit shot reminds me of my narcsissitic sister who went on a 4 day holiday to fiji. She spent the first day on her laptop for hours photoshopping a photo of herself in a bikini. She posted it to her IG boasting about how great she looked for 47 in a bikini … WTF???
Her photoshop skills were as good as Toris. End photo was full of weird angels and blurry lines.
P.S, Tori’s swimsuit is ugly. Reminds me of something Esther Williams would have worn in the 1950’s. Matronly.
I am not going to hate on her face or her body… body issues are tough. But… i will say her kids are adorable. Positive vibes.
Minor point here. I thought the most common definition of ”staycation” was that you stayed at your own home…not that you travelled to Palm Springs and stayed in a hotel?! Isn’t that…a vacation?
I was confused too. I guess her version of a staycation means staying in the same state.
Yes! For me a staycation is when you take time off and stay home. I do it often actually. Just enjoy the time off in the city I live in. It’s fun

I though a staycation meant you stayed in your own province or state? Take the train trip to the winery, hit the beach 8-12 hours away for a long weekend, spend the night half a dozen towns over to take in the dinosaur exhibit, camp in a national park, etc. Be a tourist where you live and up your economy at the same time.
That’s the way it’s been used in my city/state. Visit somewhere in or around your own city or region. Palm Springs is a couple of hours’ drive from LA.

It makes me feel really mean, but both she and Dean are so unattractive and their combination of genes have not done their children any favors. Her father made a huge mistake putting her on television. I really do believe she has some serious mental health issues that have never been, and never will be, addressed.
Those poor kids. I feel bad for them in every way possible. They always look miserable and unhappy in their pictures. They lost the genetic lottery, for sure. Poor things got the worst of both parents. I hope they can grow up and get away from all the lunacy.
Eh, they look like typical kids to me. Not model beautiful, not hideously unattractive, either. They may very well grow into their looks later, especially when they start to lose that baby fat softness in their late teens and twenties that all of us do. (Not that fat = unattractive, but we all gain some “maturation” to our features in our early twenties that can definitely change our appearance.) Most of us did not hit our beauty peak in adolescence.
Finn is cute but the others are all Dean, unfortunately. Tori used to be cute-ish in her days, but the Deaner was always facially challenged. Eyes so close to each other are a no-no.
So…the wall behind the pool needs repairs, it’s not clean, and there’s a bunch of bird poop on the ground behind the birthday girl. In the same photo, there’s a stool or something partly hidden behind the big 1. It looks like it should have been thrown in a trash a couple summers ago. trash. I bet their house is filthy. It just seems like they are gross people. Poor kids, I hope they can grow up to be good people in spite of their parents.
Why is there a line all down her arm in the bathing suit picture? I can’t figure out what that is. Is it a scar, a tattoo, or just the result of the bad photoshopping?
And I cannot believe that Tori has the nerve to try to act like she’s just like us. Just an everyday wife and Mom who is living on a budget when she has such a lavish lifestyle. She goes on vacation at least once a month.

In two of those photos she is so blurry she looks like a mirage.
1.) Change the hair color. The platinum blonde is not flattering past a certain stage and just looks harsh.
2.) Change the makeup. Why the burgundy lip ALL the time?
3.) STOP MESSING WITH YOUR FACE, TORI.
I feel terrible saying this, she was never attractive. Thin yes, never pretty.

All the shots in the pool are underwater. She clearly is not okay with how she looks and she has a history of ED so broadcasting her body on social media is probably a bad idea. I feel sorry for her. Dean and kids are also overweight so perhaps a little bit of healthy eating would do the whole family good.
This is just sad. She lives in a fantasy world and her kids are just props along for the ride.
I’d rather read about her than the news these days. Any distraction will do. I think she and her family are still in better shape than this country. I think reporters and photographers need to get into the Trump “facilities” for these prisoner children stat.

There is a way to live stylishly on a budget and this aint it.
We are middle income earners with three kids and a dog and somehow manage to have a nice, clean house with clean well dressed kids in it. Kmart has such a great selection of kids clothes now that look super cute so why do Tori’s kids always look so poorly dressed?
They honestly look like their mum bought them a whole bunch of stuff at the charity shop and dressed them in it without consideration of colour combination or style.
Plus their house always looks so poorly maintained and dirty. I bet living in that family is like a house of horrors with junk everywhere and it being smelly and unclean 🙁
I can’t hate on her for photoshop. 99.9% of social media users do it. I have too in the past. Mostly for dark circles under my eyes. I feel a little bad for her that she got ripped for this. There are plenty of other things about her that she can get called out on.

It’s not really body positive at all in any sense of the true meaning of the bopo movement. Regardless of the photoshop, which obvi. cancels the whole thing out. Is Tori ok with even being a tiny bit fat? Not really, no. Her words to me infer “I’m ok for now until I get my body back”, which is the antithesis of body positivity (to be fair I don’t know if she used the hashtag but it is used in your headline so just thought I would point this out). Body Positive would be “Women’s bodies change during pregnancy and it’s not always natural to stay the same weight forever, I can love myself at any size as all bodies are good bodies” etc.
The flaxen hair and blood red lips do not work for her. She needs to pick a new style STAT.
Why is her neck so off from her head? I see she tried to remove the extra weight she had there.
Also, the front of the bathing suit is blurred and you can see some color bleed by her thigh there.
