I was floored to learn that Love It or List It has been on HGTV for 19 seasons. I mean sure, House Hunters and all its iterations have obviously been filming since the beginning of time, but LIOLI’s tenure took me by surprise. Throughout those 19 seasons the premise has stayed the same: a client demonstrates how their current home is no longer working for them, designer Hilary Farr renovates the home to address the issues, while real estate agent David Visentin shows the client new homes so they can check off their wishlist by moving. And in the end, the client has to decide if they’re gonna love it and stay, or list it and move. Hilary and David have been with the series the whole time, but in December 2023 Hilary announced that she was ready to list it. Well, it’s taken 14 months, but HGTV has finally announced who will be stepping in as the show’s new designer: Fix My Flip star Page Turner.
A new HGTV designer is taking the reins on Love It or List It!
Following longtime co-host Hilary Farr’s announcement that she was leaving the show in 2023 after 19 seasons, the long-running HGTV series is officially welcoming a fresh (but familiar!) face.
PEOPLE can exclusively reveal the new designer taking over for Farr is HGTV star Page Turner. In the upcoming 20th season, set to premiere this summer, fans will now follow Turner as she attempts to convince fed-up homeowners to stay in their current house by giving the property a life-changing renovation.
Meanwhile, the series’ longtime co-host and real estate agent, David Visentin, will work against Turner to find move-in ready properties for the homeowners to relocate to, just like the original format of the show.
Turner has plenty of experience when it comes to stunning home renovations and a little friendly competition.
Fans got to see her competitive side when she went head-to-head against her fellow HGTV designers on two seasons of Rock the Block.
She also starred in Flip or Flop: Nashville — the Tennessee-based spin-off of Christina Haack and Tarek El Moussa’s hit house flipping show — alongside her ex-husband DeRon Jenkins. Viewers may also recognize her from her solo series, Fix My Flip, which premiered in 2022.
“Her extensive background in real estate and design will be a superpower as she enters into this celebrated real estate rivalry,” says Loren Ruch, Head of Content for HGTV. “We cannot wait to watch her give David a run for his money.”
Turner’s Love It or List It debut comes more than a year after Hilary Farr revealed she was leaving the series after 15 years, PEOPLE exclusively revealed in December 2023.
I wish Page Turner all the best in taking over renovation duties, even if it does seem like a missed opportunity that Page didn’t take the gift of her name and become a writer instead… But seriously, Page has a difficult task here, because everyone will be comparing her to Hilary. Not to mention the hilariously dramatic antics and chemistry that David and Hilary had built up over the years. You knew they were playing it up for the camera, but boy could those two take things personally and really give it to the “loser” at the end of an episode. The bickering was such that it was hard to tell if they were more like an old married couple or brother and sister. But perhaps no act will be more challenging for Page, than living up to the signature pronunciation Hilary had for the title of the show. “Are you going to llllllllllllllllove it? Or list it?” My mother and I have spent an inordinate amount of time enjoying that particular delivery, and invoking it where we can. And yes, we will be watching season 20 later this year and will report back… on whether we llllllllllllove Page!

I like Page but I don’t consider her to be a designer but a flipper. It’s one thing to design for flips but it’s different to do it for clients who are living in the home.
Interesting tidbit, Paige Turner’s mother was a writer. A witty one, I would bet.
I loved the Hilary spin off series, hope they do another season!
I like Page and hope she’s successful on the show because the main thing that made the show a hot for all these years was the chemistry between David and Hillary. Yes it was nice to watch the design work and the new house prospects, but the real bread and butter was the dynamic between Hilary and David. They even tried to have another iteration with Love It or List It Too, but those hosts just were not interesting. I can’t even remember their names…
I’m interested to see how Page and David will mix it up and keep it interesting.
Omg when I had cable I loved this show.. as ridiculous as they could be lol
I llllloved the Hillary-and-David dynamic!
I like the spin off Love it or List it Vancouver.
