Is Beyonce pregnant?

The New York Daily News has an article today alleging that Beyonce is pregnant, and that’s the real reason for her “quickie nuptials” to Jay-Z last Friday. We still have yet to receive any official confirmation of a wedding from the couple or their reps, but some random details have leaked out about the ceremony, including a photo of Beyonce’s alleged bouquet. It’s super tacky and reeks of Tina Knowles. The Daily News seems to think Beyonce’s got a bun in the oven, and that’s the real reason the longtime couple finally tied the knot.

Did a pregnancy send Jay-Z and Beyoncé running down the aisle? Buzz is building that this weekend’s quickie nuptials were actually a shotgun wedding. It would be the second for the Knowles’ family: At just 17, Beyoncé’s little sis, Solange, wed boyfriend Daniel Smith in the Bahamas after learning she was pregnant.

While reps for both J and B are neither confirming nor denying baby talk, the diva has indicated in the past that she’d like a big family: “I want to get married, and I really want a family. In a perfect world I’d have two boys and a girl.”

[From Rush & Molloy]

That seems like a whole lot of speculation to me. First off, we have no reason to believe it was a quickie wedding. Just because the press wasn’t informed about it doesn’t mean it hasn’t been in the works for months. It seems like the fact that it was a small ceremony that happened 3 days after they got their marriage license makes people think it was a hastily made decision. Jay Z and Beyonce have always kept their relationship really low profile. It’s quite likely they’ve been engaged for a while.

The way Beyonce and her mom go all-out on everything (some would say to a ridiculously tacky extent), I highly doubt they’d rush a once-in-a-lifetime event like Beyonce’s wedding. I think based on the Daily News’ evidence, we could accuse just about every bride of being pregnant.

How quickly would they be able to import 50,000-60,000 orchids from Thailand? That seems like it would require at least a little planning.

Also, that is the most heinous, trashtastic bouquet (?) I have ever seen. I really hope it wasn’t hers, and that it’s some sort of horrible joke. I mean, feathers? Come on!

  2. headache says:

If laineygossip has it straight on the significance of the number 4 to this couple then there is no way this was a quickie affair. Besides, these two have always kept a low profile on the details of their relationship. The Daily News is just trying to justify why they didn’t know about it earlier.

  3. Sasha says:

Yeah, what woman wouldn’t want Jay’s dorky, buck-toothed man-batter inside her? Anyone interested in having a real future, that’s who!!

  4. mollination says:

Yes, and what ABOUT solange?!?!? Where was all the damn Jamie-Lynn-Pregnant-Pariah-Crap for her? She had been in the limelight too so don’t tell me it’s because JL was an entertainer. It was JL and her mom’s fault to go on that OK mag cover, but people had been speculating their eyeballs out before that. The Spears clan have their hands full, no doubt, but they always get a tougher beating.

  5. Kolby says:

Good point, mollination – I wondered the same thing when the Jamie Lynn story broke. I think the difference lies in the types of families we’re talking about here – one is universally regarded as trailer trash, while the other is supposedly classy. Plus, Beyonce and her family are pretty damn boring (besides the diva behavior and the trashy fashion sense). The Spears sell more magazines.

I wish we could have a Beyonce ban. I can’t stand her almost as much as I can’t stand ScarJo. Yes, it’s a pretty unfounded hatred, but I own it.

  6. headache says:

Kolby, I think there is a co-op of disgust for Beyonce. I cannot stand her fake ass, weave wearing, faux descendent of the gens de couleur libres ass or that of her grasping, manipulative parenting.

The primary reason Solange didn’t get as much flack is because mom and dad saw that a ring was slapped on that finger before girl could miss her next period. The other reason is because black people are used to the whole young baby mama thing. It’s not really scandalous to us, which, if you ask me, is pretty scandalous to me. (our casual acceptance of it, I mean)

  7. daisy says:

    the whole affair is unbeweaveable

Plus I called it that she’s pregnant hence quickie marriage

  8. mollination says:

well thanks to headache and kolby for letting me know I’m not alone in my Beyonce disdain. Good points.

  9. nonentity says:

It makes sense. Beyonce’s pretty religious, and having a child out of wedlock really wouldn’t be her thing. And she seems mostly like the long-term planning type, so why would she have a semi-spontaneous wedding otherwise?

Jay-Z seems to be her first real boyfriend though, so it must be a little nerve-racking to be married to him if she’s not 100% sure about him.

  10. moonbeam says:

What is everybody’s problem with Beyonce wearing wigs and/or weaves? Black hair is notoriously known for breakage if not handled properly, and if the performer in question needs to have different looks, wigs and weaves can do that for you without damage to your own hair. Please stop hating on this woman — all you’re doing is fueling her success with your brand of ‘Haterade.’

  11. headache says:

Oh please. It’s not the fact that she wears a weave. Most women in entertainment, regardless of race do. It’s the fact that girlfriend is wearing the same yaki french refined weave since 1998. Girl must be straight up bald under there.

  12. moonbeam says:

Not to belabor a point, but so what if she’s wearing the same weave from 1998? And she’s not bald, I’ve actually seen her sans weave/wig/whatever coming out of a restuarant in NYC with her own hair! Imagine that! Beyonce’s own hair looked normal in regard to length and healthy. Man, hating must be exhausting.

  13. headache says:

Girl now I know you must be full of it. No one has seen that girl’s real hair. Solange, sweetie, daddy’s not going to put as much effort into your career, no matter how many nice things you say about your sister.

  14. moonbeam says:

I knew you would respond to that hair sighting! Miss B was outside of the Da Silvano restaurant on Sixth Ave., NYC walking to her awaiting SUV. She has dark brown hair, looked to be kept on the natural side of things and combed back into a ponytail. No, the ponytail wasn’t cascading down her back, hence real hair.

Daddy Knowles ain’t got me no real work in a long time, except posting on celebrity blogs defending Big Sis.
    🙂

  15. headache says:

One sighting in almost ten years? I found another one when I was googling her. But that’s it.

Like I said, nothing against weaves but she is the only woman out there who changes up her style so little. Personally, I like Halle Berry’s hair. She wears it so many different ways, weaves, natural, curly, straight, long and short. Beyonce just feels one note by comparison.

  16. daisy says:

Weaves, she does have good ones the worst is Britney Spears she should get advice from Beyonce.
Jessica Simpson has fake hair she sells. looks really cheap but cost $100

  17. Kolby says:

I don’t care about her hair, real or not. It’s her screeching disguised as singing that irks me. Her voice grates my last nerve.

  18. Lola says:

Such strong sentiment! I don’t like her, don’t care much. Still think she could do better than Jay Z. If she is preggers, it explains the haste. But I don’t understand not going for the honey moon.

  19. Roni says:

Okay…I can’t get over “Headache’s” comments:”because black people are used to the whole young baby mama thing.” That BS just stinks of “IGNORANCE!” Not all black people are used to “the young baby mama thing!” That’s like saying that all white people are members of the Klan, some stupid shitz like that! Not all people are the same and therefore are “used to the whole baby mama thing!” And I agree with Moonbeam completely…with all comments, stop drinking the HATERADE!
    Jealousy is not very becoming!

  20. Kolby says:

I’m sorry, but what the hell is Haterade? Do they sell it at 7-11?

  21. Roni says:

No, Haterade is when you hate on a person for no particuliar reason (i.e jealousy), I don’t even know who really made this word up, its not something you can drink or buy…it’s a figure of speech.

  22. headache says:

Roni, take a pill, sweetpea. I did not that most black women are young baby mamas but that there is more of an acceptance of it on our communities than predominately white ones. Alot of our most well known entertainers became parents at an incredibly early age and it’s no scandal.

  23. miss ana says:

Seems like Beyonce is doing well. I usually don’t blog but, I ran up on this blog and just had to leave a comment. BOTTOM LINE….You’re NOBODY until SOME OTHER NOBODY hates you. I bet right now Beyonce is somewhere enjoying her life while people are typing lame remarks about her weave of all things. I think that she is a damn good performer and she has lots of money to prove it so ” FALL BACK HATERS “! Also If she is pregnant, why does anybody care besides the people who will be providing for her so-called alien child? At least she has a husband, some people don’t including hater type bloggers. ( if the shoe fits wear it! ) Let the girl live her life! I’m sure she can afford a baby.

  24. mike says:

beyonce is to cute for him

  25. alexis says:

most of u on here needs to stop and let this woman live her life just because she is in the public eye does not give anyone a right to bash her like you all are doing she is a person just like everyone else and its messed up to see you guys on here talking the ways you are about her and 😡 well im gone let you know know she gone be known for a while so get over it and move onhttp://www.celebitchy.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_mad.gif

  26. tia says:

im a black woman and if we are used to the whole young baby mama thing then i guess white people should stop smelling like wet ass dogs anyday now !i was a young mother and now im a design engineer for federal mogul. google it…..federal mogul. stop b.s’ing and start listening.listen to my cash flow. 85 grand a year.

  27. Tellu says:

I don’t think it’s the “baby mama” thing at all. In fact I think with the lack of black men in circulation we are having *less* teenage births and possibly births in general. What I THINK the difference between Solange and Jamie Lynn is that:

    1) Jamie Lynn is related to Britney. Talks about Jamie will indirectly hail flack against Britney as proof that she’s a “broken child” from a broken household. What people don’t seem to realize (and what the media apparently DOES) is that people don’t look at Britney Spears in the tabloids because they like her these days. They’re looking at every oppurtunity to poke fun at her because to many people, she represents everything that’s wrong with America and her failures and misfortunes reevauluates their sense of “justice” if you will. The reality TV thing has only perpetuated our desire to see broken people because we think of it as real as real can get.

    2) Jamie Lynn is in the public eye more than Solange and not only that but she is on a show for kids.

    3) The Knowles family from what I know live pretty low key lives. I think some people find that more classy and modest (and apparently boring from what I’ve been hearing :o).

As far as what headache said though. White people can afford to give their kids abortions, we’re not always as capable. Its not that we WANT to accept it, its just that we have no other choice a lot of the time due to our socio economic divide. That, and theres the other half of us that are deeply religious in Christianity and do not believe in abortion.

  28. Kayla says:

I just want to say that I am very happy for them if they are happy together but these two need to get off the high horse for real. People are saying that she pushed the wedding forward b/c of her strong Christian beliefs but I thought the whole point was no pre-marital sex. The crime is already commited if she really was pregnant before they got married. Her and her sister are the same and they have the whole concept confused. You go to the alter first and then have children not have children and then go to the alter!! And if you have to be knocked up to get someone to finally say alright I’ll marry you then it ain’t worth it. But I don’t know either of them and all I can speak on is speculation since they aren’t saying anything but if that is the case please leave religion out of this b/c you should be struck by lightening for even making a comment like that. Just b/c you get married before you deliver doesn’t change the fact you got pregnant with no commitment under God to anyone. And another thing I don’t know if the pregnancy was planned or not but if not he might want to check into that birth control story b/c they been chilling for a while and I honestly think she just got tired of waiting on him and decided to take things into her own hands to start making moves of her own. That’s my two cents

  29. Kayla says:

I have to say one more thing, I have no reason to hate on this woman. The only thing she has that I don’t have is millions. But I’m a 22 year old well educated black woman that has a good also well educated man that has stuck by me for last 5 years. Our annual income together is over $150K a year and that’s who two architectural engineering degrees and being fresh out of college so I have no reason to hate. But people talk shit about the girl from your home town that got knocked up and then ran off to get married but when a celebrity like Beyonce does it, it’s alright and cool and “oh she’s so great”. Anyways my life is great and I can care less what they do but I do know I don’t like hypocrits and that’s exactly what they are. Talking about strong Christian beliefs… pls if they were that strong then she wouldn’t be knocked up right now.

  30. sickntired says:

Headache…i need you to look at “white society” it’s not acceptable to be young and pregnant in “black society” we just don’t hide it by sending our kids to “France” for a year to cover up an abortion. and to each-his-own…who you are you to assume something is more acceptable in one race than another? you obviously haven’t been around enough white people. you should really think before you put something out there..or maybe you just don’t give a damn about how others feel..and you know karma is a biotch…hope you don’t have any young daughters:evil:

  31. kezia says:

Does it matter whether she wears a weave or not? Damn, ya’ll need a life b/c if u had one u wouldn’t be on here arguing about whether woman hair is real or not.

  32. azaria101 says:

Why is everybody worried about if bey got pregnant before she wed Jay it was bound to happen they are obviously “in love” I’m happy for them and what’s this black people accept “young baby mamas” its not that at all its just that we don’t hide it if our young daughter’s become pregnant white people we do anything to hide it from their community and bey has a lot of haters on here if yall wasn’t then yall wouldn’t feel the need to reply that yall have no reason to hate blah blah blah anywayz I just stop by to show my girl some love and support

  33. baola says:

when does being in love, getting marriage and getting pregnanat become a crime? do u know how many unloving pregnanacy we have. is because she’s a star? pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee let her live jer life. imagine yourself

  34. Sincera says:

shes a hot celeb right now but she is really wack to me

  35. black cherry says:

If any of you know anything about GOD, then you know God is a forgiving God. There are so many other important things in the world to worry about than this young lady. We should be praying for them. We should also pray for ourselves. GOD BLESS AND EVERYONE HAVE A SAFE “CHRIST” MAS!!!!

  36. REDGIRL says:

The weave is not the problem. it’s the BIG ass 4head. No wonder she wears weave. she gotta cover up that highway. I did like the picture of her with her own hair though. it’s a little thin but it looks good. Other than that i can’t take nothin from her. she can sing. Some of her competition is deceased now (Alyah and Left eye). Wished i could have seen what these two ladies were coming with (RIP)!!!

  37. Thank you for this nice relationship advice. It might just help mine out. Thanks again!
