Brad Pitt is one of those celebs that seems to get along with just about everyone. Well, except for Jennifer Aniston and her friends. But you don’t hear a lot of stories about him indulging in diva-like behavior. In fact most of the things you hear are all about what a nice, amiable guy Brad is. But apparently Sean Penn would disagree. The two have been working together on the film Tree of Life, and are said to be doing their best to ignore each other.
Tensions are running high on the set of Tree of Life. Brad Pitt, who took over Heath Ledger’s role in the adventure film after Heath’s death, is butting heads with co-star Sean Penn, 47. “They’re far from friends,” says an insider close to Brad, 44. “Sean is a bossy kind of guy, and that’s just not Brad’s style. He’s mellower. So spending time together has been a big challenge.”
Thankfully, they don’t have many scenes with each other. “A big theme in the movie is man alone in nature,” notes the insider. “It’s not really a buddy film, and that’s probably for the best.” Their personality clash isn’t the only issue. “Sean is friends with Jennifer Aniston,” says the insider. “Her short film in 2006, Room 10, starred Sean’s wife, Robin Wright Penn. They attended the premiere, cheering Jen on.”
So don’t look for the Hollywood heavyweights to be making too many personal appearances together when Tree of Life hits theaters next year. “Brad hasn’t gone out of his way to praise Sean since filming started,” says the insider, “and that speaks volumes.”

I really have a hard time imagining someone not getting along with Brad Pitt. He’s just so… Brad Pitt. I guess his Mr. Perfect routine could get a little old. Sean Penn has always come across as rather grumpy to me. And the grumpy sort are easily irritated by the cheerful sort. I would really hope the Jennifer Aniston factor doesn’t actually play in. It’s ridiculous that so many of their friends have felt they need to pick sides (at least according to the tabloids). That whole debacle happened ages ago, in Hollywood-time. Hopefully the guys can still act like professionals and get over whatever issues they have.

Penn is well-known as a grumpy, overly serious guy – it’d probably perturb me, too. I’m sure they’ll get through it, jeez. They are both professionals, we all know this.
They both suck. I can’t stomach the glowing praises Pitt and Jolie receive on this otherwise credible blog; and I’ve never forgiven Penn since I attended the premier of All the King’s Men at the Toronto Film Festival and fell ASLEEP. I mean, practically the entire A-list was sitting right above my head and I dozed off! Buttercup, James Gandolfini, Kate Winslet, Mark Ruffalo, Jude Law, Patricia Clarkson… and I rested my head on the seat and balanced out my sleep account. That’s how tedious the movie was, and I blame him.

A total total lie. Brad, Sean, and Robin have been good friends for many years since long before Brad even met Jen,they are Brad’s friends not Jen’s,and Robin is currently making a movie for Plan B right now with DDL’s wife directing. Brad has never caused a problem while working in any film. Brad has completed filming and the family is back in LA. Why anyone believes anything from a lying tab is beyond me.
I honestly think Brad offers NO redeeming qualities. In what way is he a quality actor? Someone please tell me. His acting is ONE NOTE and his voice is awful. He is Joe Black in every role. I was waiting for someone to point that out. If either of these two is one-note it’s Penn. He plays himself in nearly every role he has ever been in. His political movies are about as entertaining as watching paint dry, and that’s coming from someone who loves political movies.
I don’t particularly like Brad Pitt, but the guy is diverse as hell. He does intense well – 12 Monkeys, Seven, Fight Club. He’s pretty good in comedy, even though I think he and Clooney get far too much credit in the Ocean movies, and Matt Damon not near enough. Assassination of Jesse James was fantastic, and I would recommend it to anyone who hasn’t seen it yet.

I LOVED his accent in Snatch, howlingly funny, it was never meant to be authentic. Even the Cockney accents in that film were completely ott. Still makes me laugh out loud and one of the few screen performances of his that I liked. He seems like a nice, decent guy etc but I don’t rate him much as an actor.

Brad’s horrific accent in Snatch wasn’t technically Irish. It was supposed to be Traveller (or “pikey” in Britain). The accent IS similar to the Irish Midlands accent, but it is distinct as they have their own dialect.
For those who have no clue what I’m on about, travellers, are a distinct subculture within Irish and British society, (the Pavee Point website will give more info). Traveller families can be in England or Ireland, and can travel backwards and forwards. But they are marginalised in both countries.
It still sounded like no Traveller I’ve ever met though. 🙄

Jennifer Anniston should have had his child. Brad Pitt clearly expressed his interest in having a family. I knew that eventually he would leave her. He has always been clear about that wanting offspring. However, the way it all went down, was just wrong.
What a hussie angelina could be…. whatever, they seem like they get along and he happily puts up with her. So it seems that it is working.
After all, she willingly brought a human being in the world through her body for him. And I am sure that carrying and bursting a baby through her body has really taught her big lessons in life.

Both times, some really feisty and “on a mission” bitches decided my husband was what THEY wanted, and, men being what they are, the men just went along with it! (Husband #1 went off with a large-breasted blonde trust fund baby; Husband #2 went off with a very wealthy Filipina who spent money like water on him and his entire family). Both women outright showed their derision for me, the wife. To them, I am a JOKE. Hah hah. They got what THEY wanted, and I am left alone and poor, now that I am nearly a senior citizen. Mr.Brad Pitt was here in our small town of Smithville Tx recently and while he was not unfriendly he was not exactly what I would call the nicest person on earth. I am afraid that he forgot that at one time he was just another face in the crowd. There were times that I saw him completely ignore fans who had come a long way just to say hi. Now as far as Sean Penn goes I heard from a friend of a friend that as soon as he got on set he was a total ASS. So as far as I am concerned they can both go to hell.
