Lindsay Lohan was so classy, she only read Ernest Hemingway in jail

blohan1

Radar got an interview with a young woman was staying at the same jail as Lindsay Lohan, at the same time as Lindsay. Radar only identifies her as Katie A., and Katie has some really good, sad, funny stories about Lindsay’s stay at the Lynwood Correctional Facility and about all of the special treatment Lindsay got. My favorite? Lindsay made the guards find her Ernest Hemingway books because “Those are the only books she would read.” Ooh, Literary Lohan! I will expect her adaptation of For Whom the Blow Tolls. The Crackhead Also Rises? The Old Man and the Yacht (and the prostitution whore)? Sidenote: does this bitch admire anyone who didn’t kill themselves? Marilyn, now Ernest.

Lindsay Lohan spent 13 days in jail, but was hardly treated like a typical inmate says a woman who was at Lynwood Correctional Facility during Lohan’s stay.

“Lindsay had a lot of special treatment while she was in jail,” Katie A. told RadarOnline.com exclusively. “The entire jail was put on lockdown any time Lindsay left her cell. It felt like we were constantly on lockdown.

Katie asked that we not use her last name. RadarOnline.com confirmed she was in jail with Lindsay.

“She spent a lot of time in her cell, but she also went to the medical clinic several times a day.”

In addition to having the jail cleared while she was on the move, Katie says Lohan also got a brand new jail uniform everyday, while other inmates just got a clean pair once a week – if they were lucky.

“One employee of the jail had to spend his day searching the entire place for any books by Ernest Hemmingway for Lindsay,” Katie tells RadarOnline.com. “Those are the only books she would read.”

RadarOnline.com reported exclusively that Lindsay was reading the Old Man & The Sea when she went into jail but the book was taken away. We also reported she was able to get books while in jail.

Katie also says Lohan was granted her commissary order when she arrived to the jail on Tuesday, July 20 even though all orders are supposed to be placed by Monday night in order to receive them.

“I checked into Lynwood on the same Tuesday as Lindsay and had to wait until the next week for my commissary order to be placed,” Katie says. “But Lindsay got hers. I was sentenced to 30 days because of a violation of my probation for not attending an alcohol education class,” Katie says. “The same thing as Lindsay. Lindsay served 13 days out of her 90 day sentence whereas I had to serve 20 days for a much lesser sentence.”

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Lohan’s mother Dina said while at Lynwood she was NOT getting special treatment and “she doesn’t even have a pillow to sleep on.”

“Lindsay got off easy in more ways than one,” Katie says. “But she didn’t look good. The whole jail joked about how good she looked in her mug shot compared to in person.”

Lohan is currently undergoing her 90-day treatment at UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles for substance abuse, ordered by Judge Marsha Revel as part of her sentence for Lindsay violating the terms of her probation from a 2007 DUI conviction.

[From Radar]

Who knew that jail had a VIP section? Oh, right. Everyone. But seriously, what the hell where those jail administrators thinking? Were they thinking they should treat Lindsay differently because her family might bring a cracked-out lawsuit? Whatever. Also: I totally believe everything Katie A. says. Because I want to. I believe that Lindsay looks worse in person, and I believe that Lindsay would bring her crack drama and force herself into the medical clinic endlessly and that she demanded, expected and got everyone to jump through hoops for her. F-cking crackhead.

One more thing: Lindsay made a “video” for her role as Linda Lovelace. Via PopEater:

Jesus, how jacked is she in this video?

Linda Lovelace was only 23 when all that shit happened to her? At the time, I thought Linda was 33 or more. I guess the casting is perfect because LiLo (shit, they’re both LiLo!)looks washed up and old.

  2. dina says:

I’m just suprised she can read!

  3. TQB says:

OK, so, I’m fascinated by this whole Inferno thing. One, it’s quite obviously nothing but exploitative pseudoporn, based on the scripts we’ve seen. Two, the director continues to start “rumors” that she’s been dropped so that he can release statements reaffirming his commitment to her, even though it’s apparent that her inexplicable interest in this movie is the only reason it’s being made in the first place. But mostly I am just baffled by the idea that they had a mocked-up photo shoot and produced a movie poster for a movie they haven’t filmed yet. Has anyone ever heard of that being done?

  4. dina says:

Because obviously I can’t spell this morning…hahaha “surprised” is what I meant to type.

  5. meme says:

    yeah, right, hemingway. sure.

  6. denise says:

    @Dina

Just proves those “your baby can read” products really do work!

  7. embertine says:

Um…. in the header photo, why the hell is her belly button all the way up where her diaphragm should be? Is she a mutant, or is this an example of why editors should take anatomy classes before being let loose on Photoshop?

  8. Taya says:

@Dina. You totally stole what I was going to post:)

  9. Green Is Good says:

Like Lowhan even knows who Ernest Hemingway is. This is the same girl that was “home schooled” by Mommy Dearest, and doesn’t even have a GED.

Trust, she was reading STar Magazine, looking for stories about herself.

  10. Jazz says:

I’m not buying that! No way she was reading Hemingway. And what the hell is going on in that top photo?! Her belly button is too high! Well, I guess it’s just like the rest of her!

  11. Rasputin says:

Hey Linds? You’re holding the bow wrong.

I don’t care that it’s for aesthetic reasons, you’re holding the damn bow wrong!

  12. Moreaces says:

I use to feel sorry for this loser.

  13. zendiggity says:

I cant wait for this waste to fall off the face of the earth, or to at least NOT be on the news sites any more.
    gawd she’s sickening.

  14. Innocent says:

Who is really surprised that she got special treatment in jail?
They didn’t want anything to happen to her and let her go as soon as they could.

I hope she only does 30 days at UCLA and then for the other 60 goes somewhere more normal.
It will be great when she gets out of rehab and can talk about the past few months.

  15. gillie says:

oh the endless post-jail/post-rehab interview circuit…. i had forgetten tose were coming…. it makes me miss the courtroom antics

  16. Raven says:

Innocent, I think you are right in your first paragraph. There would be hell to pay if anything happened while she was there. But what do you mean by “more normal” than UCLA medical center? That place has an excellent reputation and she is much more likely to get the treatment that she needs. I think that’s exactly why the judge changed the treatment venue.

  17. Innocent says:

    @Raven
I mean more realistic so it is easier once she gets out its basically a Psych ward.
After the patient has detoxed and been diagnosed then usually they can go outpatient or attend the partial hospitalization program but as Lindsay won’t be allowed then she should transfer to a residential facility.
I don’t think its fair or realistic to be locked up for the full 90 days, restricted to 1 floor and the only part of the outside world she is seeing is a patio when she goes for a smoking break.

  18. lucy2 says:

She’s had serious addictions for several years now, as well as who knows what other problems. She’s already been through at least 2 or 3 of the “normal” rehabs, and they haven’t worked. I think she NEEDS this 90 day lockdown one.

I totally doubt the Hemingway stuff too. She may have asked for them and was carrying one around, but I doubt she was reading any.

  19. Catherine says:

First the headline cracked me up but all these comments here are hilarious! I love this site.

  20. Shawna says:

This is the FIFTH TIME I’ve seen Hemingway spelled like that this week. Frak, people.

  21. ksmit says:

i believe she was reading hemingway. he was a functioning alcoholic so she probably looks to him as a beacon of hope that she can be f-cked up but still be successful.

  22. Innocent says:

    @lucy2
I’m not saying she doesn’t need a lockdown one
Plus all those “normal” rehabs weren’t court ordered other than the Cirque when it became a part of her plea deal.
This is a Psych ward were most people only stay for a few weeks.

“The R-NPH is an acute hospital, so the stay with us, in all likelihood, will be brief. The goal of this hospitalization is to deal with the crisis and acute symptoms, which brought you to the hospital. Once this occurs, the treatment team will assist you to move to a less acute level of care. This may be to a partial hospitalization program, residential care, a structured recovery program, or outpatient individual therapy”

  23. Ruby Red Lips says:

god the director must be loving all the lilo drama as this is marketing his film before its even been made

Agreed! She looks completely f*cked in the vid & strangely plastic, think the meth really blew her face so she looks like a 50 year old plastic surgery victim posing as a young girl

Wonder if she’ll still want to do this film if she truely comes out of rehab sober…

  24. original kate says:

something tells me she read cliff’s notes version of hemingway.

  25. audrey says:

Leave it to a Lohan to pretend to be reading Hemingway’s cock and bull stories…

  26. GatsbyGal says:

Hemingway is so overrated it makes me sick. She probably thinks reading his stuff makes her look deep. What is she, 14?

At least she didn’t get her grubby mitts on Catch-22 and The Great Gatsby. *holds my favorites close*

Maybe she should read Catcher in the Rye… it might inspire her to try and shoot the president or something, then she’ll get locked away for LIFE!

  27. Tia C says:

I highly doubt someone with her lightweight intellect could slog through Hemingway. *snort*

My ex worked in corrections for years, and I’m guessing that they hurried up and got her out of there quickly (more quickly than that the other girl with the lesser charges) mostly because it was such a pain in the ass having her there and having to give her all the stupid special treatment! It gets old FAST.

  28. Truthzbetta says:

Test her. Test her like Larry King tested Paris on her appearing to read the Bible in prison.

Paris failed, couldn’t even name one quote and it was the funniest moment ever. I guarantee Blohan didn’t do more than carry the books around after asking 400 people to supply her Hemingway only to make sure it ended up in the tabs.

As easy as a Hemingway read is compared to Joyce or something, you know she asked a million people about it b/c it was all for show.

  29. TaylorB says:

I had no idea that there was a pop up version of The Sun Also Rises.

  30. Marie says:

@ Taylor B. OMG!! I laughed so hard I snorted! That was great. Thank you.

  31. e-non says:

front and back covers – nothing in between.

should she actually gain some benefit from this treatment, watch it all go to hell if/when she does that lovelace movie. the description and some dialogue i’ve read is so debased; and that lohan in a rather fragile state is going to be in scenes of grotesque verbal and physical abuse (and you just know the pigs associated with this movie are going to insist on take after take of these debauched scenes — no doubt for their very own private reel).

maybe her treatment will clear that numbskull and she’ll pull out of that project. yeah right.

  32. Innocent says:

    @e-non
That’s what i hope that she pulls out of this.
She clearly has issues with both of her parents and this movie will just i think remind her.Its just so dark and abusive she could never do this sober and i bet when she agreed to it in…March? she wasn’t sober.
Also in addition to all the verbal/sexual abuse there’s a scene were she is burned with a lighter and she will have just been released from UCLA and has been known to injure herself in the past.

  33. Chris says:

She’ll end up going the same way as Hemingway if she doesn’t get her shit together.

  34. Shy says:

Poor Katie… She had to serve 20 days from her 30 day sentence for exactly the same crime as Lohan did. But wait – aren’t jails overcrowded? Haven’t they shorted Lohans jail-time because of that? Shouldn’t Katie spent just some 5 days in jail?

Seriously – those other inmates like Katie and others should sue the jail or court system or whatever and demand money for their basically racial treatment. Specially if they are poor black woman with children at home. That would be epic. When this white rich chick got special treatment and got shorten her time 10 times while other woman who are poor and black and no one shortened their time. They had to serve 70% of it.

And the book thing… It’s like in that Twilight when Bella would read smart books. So that means that she is like totally smart because she reads smart books 🙂

And who will finance that movie? It will go straight to DVD or straight to TV.

  35. nel says:

you know my sister wanted to slap me the other day because i said i felt sorry for her.

    but yeah, i dont anymore.

but i do love the drama of her family lol

i doubt she knows who heminway was 🙂

i mean, her dad is a douche, her mum tries to score free ice cream cake.

  36. Damn I adore this website. peace.

  37. Girth says:

hey how come my last comment wasn’t approved?

  38. I know this if off topic but I’m looking into starting my own weblog and was wondering what all is needed to get setup? I’m assuming having a blog like yours would cost a pretty penny? I’m not very web savvy so I’m not 100% positive. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated. Cheers

  39. Howdy intelligent points.. now why didn’t I think of these?
