Lately, whenever I read a Jessica Simpson interview, I want to crash my head against a wall. It’s not even that Jessica is talking sh-t or being particularly dumb – she’s not. It’s just that I’m so tired of her talking about her weight, and that’s ALL she’s been talking about for a year. Every since Tony Romo dumped her (because of her weight?), all she’s done is give interview after interview about how persecuted she felt because people noticed when she gained some weight, and she only gained 10 pounds (right), and everyone was so mean but it doesn’t matter because she loves herself just the way she is and of course she’s lost weight and of course she would love to change her body but LOVE. Etc. If she had a consistent message, maybe I would be more forgiving, I guess. But it’s schizophrenic – on one side, Jessica is saying it’s cool to have whatever body type, on the other, she’s talking about how much weight she’s lost and how much happier she is. Eh. Anyway, here’s her latest:
Jessica Simpson wishes she had smaller breasts. The ‘Dukes of Hazzard’ actress and singer – who is famous for her fluctuating weight – is happy with her current slender US size six figure but admits she wishes she could change her shape and have a bigger butt.
She said: “I have a white girl booty. I don’t have a big butt. I’d rather have a happy medium and take some off my chest and put it towards my butt so I could balance out a bit.”
The 30-year-old blonde beauty also admitted she can’t understand why her changing weight attracts so much attention.
She told Closer magazine: “People talked about my weight for an entire year. Being famous for gaining 10lbs is ridiculous! I didn’t feel as fat as everybody was making me out to be. Even the president felt he had to make a comment – although I think he was caught off guard as the picture was thrown in front of his face!”
Jessica – who is also a businesswoman with clothing, make-up and fragrance lines – also revealed her latest boyfriend, NFL star Eric Johnson, has helped boost her self-confidence.
She added: “I’m more confident than I’ve ever been in my life. I’m much more at peace with myself and whatever life brings my way.”

Dear Jessica: You are the one who keeps talking about your weight! We would have moved on to another subject long ago (and in fact, we did, thousands of times over), but you keep giving us quotes about it! This is why you should not be managed by your father. If Jessica had a real manager, and a real team of professionals around her (as opposed to her team of sycophantic bastards who encourage these interviews, plus they style her to look horrendous), they would be telling her to not give any more quotes about this.
She is right about being top-heavy though. She usually looks like she’s about to tip over.

She keeps saying how everyone is talking about her weight but its clear she only feels validated when people are talking about her. Sounds like she would rather have people talking negative than not talking at all.

That’s not true that she’s the only one who talks about it anymore. I am a fan of Jessica and people are to this day calling her fat. The pics you posted, they circled her stomach, her Entourage appearance, tons of comments on how fat she is, an interview with E News, comments galore on how fat she looked. Lucky Magazine, all about how they photo-shopped off her fat. These are all in the last few weeks. So no, she’s not the one bringing it up. And, yes, she does still get crap about it.
Bless her, I don’t see why a lot of people have such an issue with her. Oh, and re: the weight: girl’s working it. WORKING. IT. Wish I’d looked that hot when I was her size.
She does have a flat ass, but those boobies are amazing! I think she looks better thicker, but thats just me.

I have a soft spot for Jessica since she HAS talent. She might be air-headed and ditsy but she seems sweet and harmless and has a beautiful voice. Her music ain’t my thing, but that’s not her problem. Since she’s not singing any more, her weight is her only thing left that makes news so she keeps peddling it to stay relevant and sale all her goods.
um….haven’t seen her since the old show when she was married to whatsisface. since when did she get so big? or were they really good at using camera angles back then?

She did it to her self. Duh if you make your boobs HUGE compared to your body, everything is going to be off.
She just oozes insecurity. She would be talented, if she didn’t try to sing all these notes that she can’t quite hit. I can’t stand to hear her sing live. And I can’t even remember what her music was like???
Since her clothes are always so skin tight I would say she is probably about an 8-10. A 6 in womens isn’t that small.

I don’t particularly care for her, but the extra weight doesn’t bother me. She just looks normal, not “Hollywood.” But size 6? If she really believes she’s a size 6, it must mean that one of her people is secretly swapping out the size 10 tags from her clothes for size 6 tags in order to fool her.
And the photoshopping in Lucky Magazine was egregious. Actually, I’m tired of magazines using celebrities for their covers. But then again, I came of age in the era of Linda Evangelista, Christy Turlington, Tatjana Patiz…

i’d guess she is a size 12. i think she is a pretty girl with a feminine, curvy figure – she just needs a decent stylist.
agree that her figure is fine, but her stylist needs to go! she wears the wrong things for her body type.
believe me, (I’m sure a lot of you can relate) there are plenty of style trends I would have loved to wear but couldn’t because of my body type. it sucks, because some of those styles are SO cute, but hey, I’d rather look good and “classic” in my style than “trendy” and ridiculous.
my other gripe with Simpson is that she wears WAY too much make up. when I see her out doing whatever, in her “natural/day” make up, she looks so much better than the tranny look she wears when on the red carpet.

Also, we are of the same era, mind and opinion re fashion mag and womens’ mag covers – lets add Paulina Porizkova, Elle Macpherson, Nikki Taylor, etc. Everyone knows Anne Wintour ruined Vogue with her mindless infatuation with celebs (catering to their egos) instead of staying with great fashion photography of great looking fashion models. Please, I don’t want to see Tina Fey on the cover of Vogue in Micky Mouse ears; I want to see someone like Yasmeen Ghauri (my favorite 90s supermodel). Go on youtube and watch clips of Yasmeen and then compare her to lame ordinary irrelevant ditzy Jessica – today’s pop culture is so much less alluring and interesting than even the 90s – yes, there were lame aspects to the 90s, but not nearly as much as today. They can’t even put great looking beauties on the mag covers; we are subjected to photoshopped bozos like JS.

She could be a size 6, maybe, since she is quite short. When someone is small like her, 10 pounds makes a huge difference. But I think she would look fine if she just dressed better.
#17-uh she can sing enough to hit #1 on the charts back in the day. That’s better than most the ridiculous chicks we talk about on here: Kardassians, Real Housewives, Hiltons, Hills…..I could go on. I don’t care for her music but she’s nice and harmless.
How can she be a size 6 with DD boobs? I’m a C cup, some of my size 8 tops and dresses are too tight in the bust. And she could work on her waist while trying to get a booty. She has a classic “apple” shape. Large breasts, no waist/gut, and boyish hips/flat ass. Most women are either apple or pear shaped. Clothes that fit better would help with the fat rumors.

Jessica Simpson has a big voice. Which SHE confuses for having a good voice. I remember watching her try to get through a performance of one of her country singles on the Ellen show and it was EPIC how awful she was. It wasn’t just the one performance either. When she covered the song Angels that Robbie Williams did originally, the writers actually said they regretted writing the song once they heard her version.
NO YOU DON’T trust me. Guys never just come up and grab on womens boobs. But, they grab big botties all day long! I hate it.
@flutters: ITA with what you’re saying, again, her music isn’t my thing but it was popular enough to get her to stardom versus the ones who got here with sex tapes or squeezing out an army of kids. I definitely wouldn’t put her against someone epic like Tori Amos but she’s earned her right to be famous and seems like a nice simple chick-IMO.

Im a size 4-6 and I have 34 D’s so it’s possible. I also use a size 8 shirts with plenty if room to spare 🙂

I don’t know, Eileen…I understand your thinking, but she has never had a number one single. I think she is famous more for prostituting her personal life in reality tv and the tabloids than she is for music.
She was a third string Britney Spears about to lose her recording contract because her latest album flopped when the reality show about her marriage started to get her noticed.
Lindsey Lohan has had a platinum and a gold album, but just like Jessica, her fame comes from something other than her singing.

For having so called no talent I need some of that.. last year she raked in 20 million alone as per Forbes so she is doing something right.. Her perfumes,shoes & clothing are great & her music is her passion & what she likes to do.. Her industry supports her music..

To the poster I agree much has been circled & written about Jess & weight & she certainly didn’t ask for MOM’s jeans.. She makes some poor choices for herself in clothing but so be it we all do right.
All females have boobs right & many are never satified with what they have..
When you are newly in a relationship & in love & if your all honest with yourselves you know you always think this is the one & helps to complete & make you confident.
