Jamie Lynn Spears to be induced today

The National Enquirer is reporting on their website that Britney Spears’ 17 year-old sister, actress Jamie Lynn Spears, will be induced and will undergo a C-section at Mississippi Southwest Regional Medical Center in McComb, Mississippi today. Her baby, said to be a girl, looked like it was in the breech position in a recent sonogram, which has her doctors scheduling a Cesaerian due to potential complications.

Britney Spears and her older brother, Jamie, 31, arrived in New Orleans from a commercial flight from LA, and are now at her family’s estate in Kentwood, Louisiana, according to People Magazine.

Congratulations will soon be in order for Jamie Lynn and her fiancé, Casey. Life & Style is reporting in this week’s edition that “Jamie Lynn will get her dream wedding.” They say that due to her age she can’t get married in Louisiana until she turns 18 next April, but that her father, Jamie, may finally give consent after initially opposing the marriage. Her mother, Lynn, supposedly had no objections to the wedding, but Jamie is said to be against it because “he got married really young, and he knows how tough it is.”

Jamie Lynn is said to be planning a wedding for “six to eight weeks after the baby comes.” Don’t get married yet, JL! You have plenty of time to make that decision and it’s not like you’re going to be able to do it before your daughter arrives anyway.

Thank God, now maybe we won’t have to hear much more of the Trailer Trash Teen Trauma Chronicles.

  2. Susan says:

I hope she has a safe delivery and baby and mom do well. All babies ARE a blessing despite how they arrive into this world. I had an unplanned pregnancy last year at 40 and have a beautiful baby girl.

About them getting married — I think they should do what their hearts tell them.

  3. Bodhi says:

Well, um, congrats on the baby! I can’t WAIT to hear what they name her!

I defiantely don’t think they should get married, but it sure isn’t my decision

  4. Dingles says:

I highly doubt that a shotgun teenage wedding is considered anyone’s “dream wedding.”
    I give them a year.
And I give the baby 17 years until its first stint in rehab.

  5. Larissa says:

she already had the baby…its a girl, and well..I hope the name is not a combo of theirs, thats sooo tacky!

Jamie (Dad), Jamie-Lynn (Daughter) and Jamie (son)??? I have to wonder about the ego of Dads who name all their children after them. Or is it just lack of creativity?

  7. Larissa says:

    and it´s Maddie Briann…
    kinda cute!

  8. Mandy says:

The People website said the baby was named “Maddie Briann.” My coworker (who is black) said, “Just ‘Maddie,’ not short for anything? ‘Maddie’ is a slave name! Why not just call her ‘Mammy’?” 😆

  9. Syko says:

Maddie isn’t a slave name! My god! What’s a slave name anyway?

It’s actually quite a nice name, and I hope everyone is healthy and happy.

  10. geronimo says:

    LOL! Slave name!

  11. Helcat says:

The brother’s name is Brian, if I’m not mistaken. Not Jamie.

  12. paris herpes says:

Maddie’s a boy’s name, probably a boy slave’s name now that I see all the comments! hahah!
