    Doesn’t look like anybody cares

And there was a loud Hosannah !!

  3. Syko says:

I wouldn’t care if he retired from living. I used to think he was funny, until he dissed his baby daughter. Now I think he’s disgusting.

  4. Silly Lilly says:

okay so does he want a gold watch? I dont understand…whats the point of the announcement? Its not like he put in 30 years at a company and its time to get him a cake.

  5. Roni says:

He’s a deadbeat dad! I have no respect for Eddie “Gay” Murphy!

  6. oxa says:

is he retiring from movies to take up acting?

  7. daisy42465 says:

Agree with Syko. But, he was hysterical on SNL; Gumby, James Brown-hot tub, Mr. Rogers….

  8. Syko says:

Yeah, he was, Daisy, you made me smile to remember it. There was this one spy episode where they were giving him his instructions and the general or whatever he was said “now take that pill” and he popped it into his mouth and swallowed it in a brisk, military movement and the general continued with his speech “and keep it safe, that’s your suicide pill, it will kill you if you’re in an impossible situation” and the look on his face was priceless. He WAS funny.

But then I think about that little girl he’s ignoring, and he seems more like an ulcerated wart on a toad’s butt.

  9. geronimo says:

Bowfinger was hysterical. When he was good, he was really good. Don’t think it’ll be quite so easy to return to stand-up when his best material related to his life at the time he was doing it.

  10. bros says:

you forgot dream girls. he was nominated for an oscar for that and left in a huff when he didnt win.

  11. daisy424 says:

Syko, laughed out loud remembering that skit, you’re right! Can’t find it though.

Looked up Bowfinger after reading geronimo’s post, hysterical. Steve Martin is priceless.

Can’t stand the man in every way. I remember years ago, long before he was such an obvious s**t, reading an article about how he and his “entourage” showed up at a club and he had one of his “people” go up to some woman to hit on her by proxy–as if she should have been so honored to catch the great Eddie Murphy’s notice, she wouldn’t expect him to lower himself to talk to her!! (apparently the girl had enough self-respect to turn up her nose). After reading this, I though “what an arrogant jerk!” and have disliked him ever since.
An opinion I have not had to alter over the years.

  18. Carena says:

Wait a minute….so you mean to tell me he DIDN’T retire 10 years ago? I thought for sure he was already done.

Maybe he can retire one character at a time…go down from playing 5 characters in one movie down to 3 or something.

  19. What an ridiculous collection of effectively accomplished articles, it appears like now-a-days everyone is just copy/pasting and stealing content material all the time, however I guess there’s still hope in honest blogging.
