Well, it looks like the Jolie-Pitts flew from Budapest to Paris over the American holiday, and they spent their time shopping and celebrating. Us Weekly reports that last night, Brad, Angelina and the four oldest kids went on a boat ride to celebrate Pax’s seventh birthday. Even though I like the idea of a boat birthday party, and I’m sure Paris is really beautiful at this time of year, and at night, I have to think all of the Jolie-Pitts were freezing their nads off. Especially Angie!
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie took Pax for a Parisian cruise Sunday evening to celebrate his seventh birthday.
Sibs Maddox, 9, Zahara, 5, and Shiloh, 4, also joined them for the ride down the River Seine. On the boat: Cake and some birthday balloons.
Pitt, 46, was spotted filming the kids on his video camera, while Jolie, 35 (in a beige trench coat) was seen pointing out notable sights during the ride.
The gang spent the Thanksgiving holiday in Paris, where Jolie is promoting her new Johnny Depp thriller The Tourist.
They will soon have another reason to celebrate: Pitt turns 47 Dec. 18.

I wonder if The Tourist’s promotional tour is going to start in Paris? Do you think Angelina and Johnny Depp will be doing their press junket there? That’s pretty sweet – I imagine many of the Entertainment Tonight and Access Hollywood journalists will be thrilled to go to Paris for the junket. But this thought just occurred to me – Ryan Seacrest and his “girlfriend” are in Paris right now too. La Seacrest and the Jolie-Pitts are mortal enemies, you see. Could Seacrest make a move to get some kind of Paris exclusive?

They also took Pax on a hot-air balloon ride over Paris. I’m terrified of hot-air balloons but I guess a 7-year old would not be.
Also, I don’t think Paris is all that cold right now, but I don’t know. I’ve been there in November and the weather was quite good. Besides, those boats are very nice inside.

You don’t take two 2-year olds on a boat at night. They would not appreciate it and neither would the older children. How do you know there were no other children on that boat? It’s a big boat, people. Angelina looks like any mother trying to entertain children. She is having a quiet conversation with one of them. I guess your mothers never took the time to listen to anything you say so you wouldn’t know this particular look.

Thanks for the info. I just remember being in Paris in November a few years ago and the weather was very nice for the entire five days I was there. Of course, weather changes. (What’s 3C in F? People tell me all the time how to translate the temps but I always forget. Is that about 30F?) And, yeah, winter in Paris is fun. I would happily go to Paris and Rome again in November/December but I will avoid Venice at that time of year. Not pretty!!

Someone asked about them not being in school…again. They attend the Lycee Francais, which is a dual language school in almost every country, there is even one in my city of Chicago. So they are going to school everywhere they go and the work is the same in every place so they never miss anything.
Ok, again with the question about traveling to much…seriously? Like for real? You really keep asking this stupid question. When they have been traveling like this since Brad and Angie got together. Like seriously, They have never lived in one place long. You act like they spent 5 years with the kids in one place and then one day up and decided to start traveling the world. Uhhh NO. The kids have been doing this since they were babies. Ok so AGAIN…many families move around alot. MANY. Normal regular folks do it, military families do it. The kids are fine. They are happy.
As far as friends at the birthday party, they make friends everywhere they go and there is no lack of kids to play with since they are all around the same ages. None of the kids look like they are missing anything to me.

i just got back from paris yesterday. it’s cold there, it was in the 30s (and it snowed a couple of times). yes, it’s cold, but i was still out and about in the city. and there were tons of people on boats. i also went on a boat party on the seine.

We see these kids less than 1% of their lives. We have seen them less than 5 times since they arrived in Europe 2 months ago. They have lives, activities, park visits, play dates etc that are not photographed. As for the twins there are pics of all 6 kids on the beach, building sand castles, swimming, body surfing etc on other sites. Google Jolie Pitt kids beach. For those of you who ” don’t find this family’s activities interesting ” Ignore them. FYI There was a video taken with a cell phone of the kids visiting a mall with approx 6-7 other kids in Budapest and the kids moms.Also if I had kids that were friends with them I would prefer they had playdates at home so my kids wouldn’t be photographed. I remember Reese W taking her daughter to Disneyworld and the paps knocked over Ava’s friend trying to get a better shot of Ava after the divorce.As for the birthday party guests its possible he had more than one party.One year I had 1 bday pizza party Saturday for my son’s classmates and another Sunday for family and 5 of his best friends. I will never do that again though.Too much work(smiles)

It’s not blasphemous to ask where the twins are. It’s a legitimate question. Just because a poster isn’t treating Brangelina & family like they’re Gods doesn’t mean they’re haters. Grow the f*** up! The twins are suspiciously absent from many of the recent photos of family outings, yet Shiloh was photographed with AJ/BP at the at the same age; it’s like the twins are being hidden.
The temp & boat being the reasons why the twins were absent is ridiculous. As many nannies as the kids have, as much as AJ & BP look after them, I doubt the twins would be acting like banshees, running around in their pampers and playing on the railing. All of the children seem calm and well behaved. As you can see by the photos, an inclosed space (i.e., room) *and* thick Winter outwear for children exist…. The twins being absent in another family outing (or at least their photographs not being published) IS suspicious. Stans, consider the situation as if the couple weren’t Brangelina and were, instead, a celebrity couple you didn’t like. You know there’s something off about all of this.

You will be off by part of a degree. It would actually be 70.2F, but 70 is close enough. This works until you hit 0 degrees F. I don’t know how to calculate below freezing, I just suffer through it.

Usually there would be photos of Brad and/or Angie out with the three older children and the whining would start: “Where’s Shiloh? Why don’t they love Shiloh? To whomever commented about the twins not being there, I remember an interview where Brad said he could only handle 4 kids at a time. I think the reason we saw Shiloh so much at the same age the twins are now is that there were only 3 kids in that family at the time.
whatever -I think traveling is fine if the have the things that are consistent . Brad has mentioned that they buy mutiple beds toys, etc so the kids have the same things in all their houses. Angie stated in 2009 that they keep them on the same schedule so they don’t have to deal with jetlag. When she was on a press tour she said the kids were up at 1 am because they were still on European time and they would stay on that time because they would be returning to Europe.According to her interview in Vogue all Lycee Francais schools are on the same schedule in terms of curriculum. So they can go from Los Angeles to Budapest to NYC and pick up where they left off. They also have the teachers that travel with them to serve as a liason to give them info about the new school ,teachers etc. Since the school in LA has a lot of kids whose parents are in the “industry” I ‘m sure some of them go on locations with their parents too. I know A couple of weeks ago I saw pics Of Kimora Lee Simmons and Russell Simmons girls in Miami, Beverly Hills and NYC in a week.As for their friends its 2010 they can keep in contact with them on the phone, email, skype etc. Most importantly the JP kids know that almost every night both their parents are there to tuck them in and they have their siblings with them.JDepp has worked on 3 films this year while his family has remained in France, Ocassionaly visiting him on location. I think I would prefer to be with my dad than visit him every few weeks. But that arrangement works for Depp’s family and this works for this family.

I think it’s selfish to continually take your kids out of school and put them into another every single year. Kids need continuity and stability. I dont care what the school is called or how high the standards are that’s my opinion.

It broaden the mind, rise the level of adaptation and in Europe because of t size of countries many often work in another from where they live and go back home every day or every week-end.
You lack certain things, you gain other things just like staying at the same place.
The concern about affecting children is irrelevant since the type of lifetime consisting in staying at the same place doesn’t garantee better balance or healthy future development, behaviour.
I mean staying at the same place life style and moving around often can BOTH be a problem or a blessing. You gain some and lose some in both.
Yet no such question about healthy lifestyle is risen when a child has been brought in the same place and has problems wether it’s illiteracy, no education, violence, drugs, ect…just like many children in the US who have problems though they will never have a passeport to use.
Again, based on that, the question is irrelevant since it’s neither black nor white for both lifestyles. Both have their cons and pros. Besides statistically those children when they get old don’t present any more trouble than the other ones…au contraire, it seems that they often are more grounded, have a better wordly education and enjoy that hability for adaptation in a world of constant change with their multiculturism and multilinguism.

Barring the first question (which itself is beyond tired out at this stage) I swear these are the same questions asked a year ago, two years ago, three years ago, etc. Nothing the JPs ever do will sit right with some people.
Maybe we’ll find out in ten years that these kids have been traumatised or damaged by all this ‘instability’ (which would probably suit some people down to the ground) but until then,these kids look happy and well cared for, each with his/her own distinct personality. And yet the whining and complaints continue. The criticisms this family generates, simply by existing is mind boggling and more than a little sad.

It amazes me that you can infer feelings, moods, the long-term future, the status of the children’s health, the fate of the family, etc. from one clearly staged photo-op. Ms, Voight is in full makeup so the paps can shoot her from a distance. She looks out at them. She knows they are there. This is a performance. But why? Who knows….

We all know that all the troubles of the american youth, including in Hollywood (Lohan, Spears, ect) emanate from people who have been raised in a constant moving environment….
A great deal of Europeans move like the JP’s, especially since there are many European officials, diplomats, contractors and entrepreneurs setting business in several countries and moving around in several countries during the week.
They don’t need a passport to move or a working permit to work inside the EU, just the hability to speak languages. that’s why they set up European Schools and Lycés Français and other International schools because of the constant moves of the children who will catch up the same program in the same schools set up throughout the EU.
And i don’t think Europeans kids have more problems or are less balanced than their american counterparts.

Well said, the reason she does this is because she made a conscious decision some years ago to change people’s perception of her. That’s why you see these staged photo opps. I have NEVER seen someone use their kids to manipulate people feeling towards themselves as much she does. There are lots and lots of AList actors out there that we have NO idea as to what THIER children look like much less if they even HAVE kids and yet we know an awful lot about her kids. She wants people to think she’s this “perfect mother” and they have this “perfect family” Every time she talks about her family life she paints a life straight out of a Norman Rockwell picture, I mean right down to the drifting away and letting her eyes wander off when she’s being interviewed about the kids. She sells this fantasy to a lot of people but there are a lot of us out there that see right through this crap. I honestly think this woman is mentally ill, not ill as in hurt the kids crazy but manipulative to an unhealthy degree.
There is a reason she has no friends and it ain’t because she’s always working. It’s because anyone that spends any amount of time with her sees here for the manipulative “C U next Tuesday” she really is.
They travel too much for the kids to make any friends. Also, it has been said they have no idea how to behave with others as they have never been disciplined.
The kids have each other as bff they can always count on and are actually seeing each day…it’s more than the average single child could hope having.
I have no real opinion about Brad & Angelina; I don’t love them or hate them. For me, when I asked where the twins were is because I haven’t seen pics of the twins in ages.

Uhm so she shouldn’t have a special treat for Pax on his birthday, and because she took them out on a balloon ride/ boat trip it proves she’s a bad mom?? When I look at these kids they look normal and happy and not contrived and fake lot alot of celeb kids(Who shall go unnamed). I am sure that Angie & Brad know paps are there but there really isn’t anything they can do about it unless they want their kids to remain hostages in their homes. As for the travelling I think its’ a much better option than disapearing for months at a time. According to Michael Douglas he thinks his absentee parenting directly attributed to Camerons’ drug use. And for the poster who mentioned Lohan she started partying hard when her mom left her in LA at 16 while she stayed in Long Island with her other kids.

I can only speak from personal experience, but we moved 8 times in 4 different states when my kids were growing up because of my husband’s job with a major corporation as a regional manager, and my children have friends in four states, and are all currently in college with a great friends and family support base.
My mother had triplets and I can tell you it was a major production just to go anywhere, I’m sure the twins were at home in bed or getting ready to go to bed at that age it is best to keep a daily routine.

Inferring anything from “body language” depicted in millisecond snippets seems a complete waste of time.
There is never and has never been ONE TRUE WAY to raise children. I would be concerned about anyone who thinks there is. These kids are fine and seem to have parents who spend time ensuring a great life for their children – as well the children of others.
The haters are making some ridiculous comments. It’s really over the top to say Angelina is bored, hate her life nd kids just because she’s not smiling in some photos. Considering they are are on vacation it’s highly unlikely they would fly kids/friends to Europe for a birthday party. Where are they supposed to make friends? The airport? I’m baffled why anybody would think they would go back to school in Budapest. Angelina onlyfilmed a movie there not moved there.
They are so cute! I think that Pax is the quiet one of the bunch-I guess we have yet to find out what the twins are really like…
@Kim: that makes sense to me. Celebrate kids birthday in school, home, etc. where paps can’t find you. This is probably the personal family celebration.
I don’t have kids but that is definitely not a bored look. She looks exhausted. She’s probably been working like crazy and when she takes time off from work, its all about the kids. The Jolie-Pitt parents have always seemed very hands on to me. I’ve seen more bodyguards than nannies.

My guess about the twins’ whereabouts is that it was late, and they didn’t want to tire out the little kids. Plus I can’t imagine a boat trip in Paris would be very interesting to a 2yo. But please, continue with the conspiracy theories, some of them are amusing!
Love how she is totally over it. She needs to get rid of the bangs, they do not flatter her face.
People may criticize her parenting skills but at the end of the day there are three children who are living a far better life than they would have had they been left where she found them. God only knows what would have become of them.
Imagine how cool it would be to be flown over Paris in a balloon.

I adore the picture of Angie looking at Maddox. The love for her son is so apparent in her eyes. I see these children with 2 loving parents, living a life traveling the world, not ever having to worry about going without. These kids are truly blessed.

“Girl Interrupted” was on tv yesterday and I couldn’t believe the difference between ANgelina then and now. She was really cool in that movie and her acting was good. Watching the trailers for The Tourist, I have been reminded how cold and stone-like she has become, including her acting. Everyone changes as they grow up, but she used to be a cool chick– no more!
Yeah I guess when you become a parent and an activist,you can no longer be a “cool” selfish person who uses drugs. I guess that happens when you mature and your priorities change.As for cold stone- like that’s acting, that’s the charcter a femme fatale. If she was acting in a comedy than she would appear gregarious, I would think.I prefer the mature Angie.
