Do you know it’s only been six weeks since Alicia Keys gave birth to her little baby boy ‘Gypt? It feels like forever ago. Anyway, Alicia walked the red carpet last night for the film Biutiful (the Javier Bardem film). Alicia decided to forgo her previous incarnation as Cleopatra Keys, and this time aim for the stars with a very high fauxhawk. I kind of like it… well, I prefer it to the Cleopatra look she was doing while pregnant, what with the excessive, cheap-looking face jewelry and headpieces.
You know who Alicia reminds me of in these photos, with this hair? Willow Smith. For real. This fauxhawk style was little Willow’s a few months ago, before Willow dropped it for something trendier. Haha, Alicia is copying style techniques from a kid.

She’s a naturally beautiful woman. But she kept choosing horribile dress and ends up doing something weird to her hair. Also, a bit of make up?
The “nude” makeup look doesn’t do her any justice…not that she has to look fake-up’d either…but with the all black, she could have gone for a little more color on the eyes. The hair is just plain stupid…maybe a 9 year old can pull it off..but come on Alicia..that’s a no for you.

lol…. this is actually VERY similar to the Cleopatra thing she was doing before, both styles involve something stupid-looking dangling over her forehead!
There is something a little off about this look, to me. I mean, the hair is *totally* like Willow’s, but she can’t pull it off as well. I think she needs a style that frames her face… Softens it.
I don’t like the neckline of the dress… It looks sort constricting and uncomfortable. I don’t think the shape was doing anything for her body lines, just made her look wider than she was tall. She’s such a beautiful unique looking woman, she just style- ‘misses’ more than she ‘hits’, in my opinion.
Actually Gwen Stefani has done this hair do and many other funky ones…way before Alicia and Willow herself. I actually think she’s a very pretty person…she just needs a bit more color in her face. She can always look worse, like Xtina. :/

Ya know what they say about dogs and people. When they start spending alot of time together, they start looking like each other. In Alicia’s case she is starting too look more and more like “Squidward” a.k.a. “Swizz Beatz” ooouch!
She looks so beyond amazing for having just given birth a month ago! I mean, overlooking all the other personal stuff in her life, she really actually DOES look great!! Hope in the future I look that fantastic 6 weeks after giving birth.
