Mmmmmmmm, Shirtless Jake. I’d see that.

  2. Codzilla says:

The fashion industry also seems to be the dumping ground for children of celebrities who are too lazy/stupid to go to college and/or get a real job, etc.

This of course excludes Stella McCartney and all the other talented and righteous designers out there. It just seems that whenever you hear about the Paris Hilton or Kimberly Stewart types, they’re always “working really hard” on their upcoming line.

Can anybody name a single celebrity fashion line that has been successful?? Stuff sold at Kmart doesn’t count.

  4. gg says:

I agree with Codzilla, but have to demur on the Stella McCartney! Those clothes are the stupidest things I’ve ever seen. They’re not even cut to fit a human – always falling off.

  5. Megan says:

I think the celebrity designer fad is wavering. I remember when Kate Moss’s first line came out in Topshop, people were waiting in line for 24 hours just to be one of the first to buy a crappy black vest. But when her second line came out, nobody cared, there was no waiting line. The fad is over. Victoria Beckham designed men’s wear? Please.

  6. ri23 says:

Super. Can we stop hearing about them both now?

  7. CandyKay says:

I agree with GG. I’ve always hated Stella McCartney’s clothes myself – so shapeless! – but I thought it was just me.

  8. Codzilla says:

I know NOTHING about fashion (I’ve been wearing the same thing for 15 years), but figured I’d exclude Stella because famous people are always raving about her stuff. That’s what I get for pretending to know what I’m talking about. 😕

LOL, Codzilla! Funniest post of the day!! Love it. 😆

  10. Persistent Cat says:

She couldn’t find time to promote her line? What does she do?

As for Posh “designing” a men’s wear line, WTF??? What man would wear clothes that she designed? In North America. In Continental Europe, what hetero men wear there is usually considering hardcore flaming here. Maybe her line moved better in Europe.

It seems like something is missing, no?
