Mental illness is no joke. You can see it in her eyes — behind the sunglasses. She looks lost, scared, etc. Being on psychiatric drugs is also no picnic. Speaking from experience. And, I would be willing to bet she has been pretty much “ordered” to take them. They can make you feel WORSE alot of times.
I feel terrible for her.
Yeah, the brain is a mysterious thing. I really feel for her because it is hard enough living with mental health issues and then to have to live them out in the publice eye…well, that only makes things 1000x worse. I’m glad people stopped giving her dad such a hard time about being paid to care for her. She REALLY needs care 24-7 and he seems to have been exactly what she needs.
While I agree with both comments above, I have to say that Brit seems to choose to live in the public eye. No-one makes her. If she really wanted some peace and quiet, this is a big country. I am so glad her dad is around to help guide her because she obviously needs/is benefitting from it. I’m just sorry the court has to pay him to do it. That seems sad. The whole situtation beginning to end is sad.
Sad and not unlikely, if true. But who’s the source here? Who’s giving all this to the media? Same old same old, people cashing in on her illness.
Britney has a history of serious abuse. She was manipulated from 9 years old. As for the choice of living in the public eye, I think that this girl so desperately craves attention and love that negative attention to her is just fine. Without being a doctor you can easily see what has happened to this woman. She got love and attention from her family by being in the public, saying what she was told to say, doing what she was told to do, creating mass hysteria, etc. That is how she got her love and affection. As far as I am concerned, a really good hard look at Jamie and Lynne Spears is in order. AS WELL as every executive that had a hand in “loving” her because she generated money.
let this be a really strong reminder that pimping your child out is still pimping.
She is really a prisoner at this stage. She probably hates show business at this point, but she doesn’t know anything else so what is she going to do? She could go back to school, but I doubt that’s going to happen. Now she has child support to pay, plus whoever else is on her ‘team’ (payroll) so she has to work and what else can she do besides try and keep working?
Besides liking a few of her songs, I always kind of despised her image and what she represented. I used to say I couldn’t wait until her career was over, etc. but I never wished it would end this way. I realy do feel for her situation. I don’t know how she’ll get out of it.
Maybe they let her see her kids because of her fragile mental state. If she wa s crying for a baby girl, I can see why a psychiatrist would recommend that she see her own kids.
I feel sorry for her too, but this story is suspect. Especially where she is int he bathroom with her father. Who lived to tell the tale?

i dont really “get” everything that has gone on with her … that lufti ass drugged her, but with what?
was that what made her so crazy for those few months?
was she doing drugs before then?
babies make me very emotional and i have 2 beautiful healthy ones of my own that im with everyday and night!
if i see a newborn baby and look at them and speak, i will bust out crying.

If it is true, it sounds like she’s come through the fog and the reality of what’s happened to her and her kids etc over the last year is just finally hitting home. Like she’s in mourning or something close to it. She sounds really fragile. Very sad.
This is a lie. They will do and say anything to make britney look bad. She is recoevering and what took place in court is to stop the legal fees that keep building. Britney, and team Britney know exactly what they are doing. This can and will be modified in the future. Britney is doing fine and all of this takes time. SlimeFed needs to make his own money and remember God never sleeps.
Postpartum depression psychosis that wasn’t treated right away because Kfed was too busy spending her money to bother with getting her help. Each child makes it worse until you are just mad. She probably has been told she should never have another child again. She might never recover and end up in a mental institution if she does have more children.
I don’t believe the story. (Unless it’s from the girl traveling with her.) That being said, she does not look well.

I really don’t think it’s accurate to say she’s heartbroken over her boys either. She always came across in all her pics etc as not giving a rip about them.
I don’t think it’s that much of a stretch to believe that Britney had another breakdown. Her kids are gone, her career is over, and she’s become a global punchline. She could have avoided all, if not some, of this with just the tiniest sliver of common sense, but that’s asking too much of our Brit Brit, I’m afraid.
Well folks, just be glad it’s not us. Without her money, we’d be on the street. Or, if we’re lucky, in a state institution.
I am just having trouble working up any pity for her at all. Yes, she has a mental illness, but years of alcohol and drug abuse certain exacerbated that. And she has always been a conniving, bossy, narcissistic, demanding, self absorbed person who had no interest in her sons at all except as fashion accessories. The only reason she wants a baby girl is because her sister has one and she doesn’t. Or maybe she wants one to tart out like its mother. She is in no way fit to have a child.
Sorry – I can’t pity her too much, either. She lived her life in a certain way, and now is paying the price. I’m not convinced it’s a true mental illness, either. . . seems more like a struggle with finally being made to observe limits.
To have what she had and to blow it is really shameful.

Syko, why are you so quick to pass judgment on people? You come across as being very negative. I understand that not everyone is being supportive of her, but time and time again you have a very judgmental tone to your comments. I’m telling you this because I thought maybe you might not be aware of how you are being perceived.

Roma, I believe everyone here passes judgment on people. I’m not sure why you picked me to single out, but I don’t think the purpose of this site is to pick apart other posters’ personalities. I really don’t think most of the people here feel like you do. As for my negativity, there is such a thing as irony, which many find amusing. I know I do. If it’s going over your head, I’m sorry for you. Just don’t read my comments, and we’ll all be happy.

mental illness is not “cured” by a two day stay in the hospital and taking meds. it can be managed, but only with intensive work. if she is really that sick then she needs to postpone her “comeback”, attend therapy sessions, spend time with her kids, and just lay low for awhile: no nightclubs, no parties, etc. although i doubt if brit knows how to live outside the spotlight.
First and foremost Britney is a spoiled brat with no regard for the safety of her kids.
Britney is walking around gorked to the gills on mood elevators and tranqs, and if she were a normal person, she would be institutionalized. But she’s a multimillionaire, and so remains free.
But if anyone thinks “she will gradually get better over time,” they’re seriously mistaken.
She will get more and more detached from reality, until medication won’t be enough to insulate her any longer.
I’m extremely surprised that the court consented to her having custody of her two boys, even temporarily. But, then again, she’s a multimillionaire.
There is going to be a “dramatic and bloody tragedy” someday soon. And everyone will be so sad, and so surprised.

Sandra – Probably because we’ve ( or most of us) have given birth ourselves and gone through the emotional strain that having a child can bring. Men however continue to sit around talking to their penises.
The press and most people including alot of Doctors seem not to understand mental illness. It is not a weakness. It cannot just go away by itself. It may last a life time. It is based on biology usually. Just like heart disease etc… Its not fun.
Alls I know is sex with crazy women is lotsa fun. Unfortunately they are usually dirty skanks. The trick is to get to them before they are disease ridden whores.
