Lindsay Lohan claimed she had a stalker, and Betty Ford moved her to a different location for her own protection, allegedly, and I wondered aloud if this was all part of some kind of elaborate crack hustle? Yeah. I told you so. TMZ reports that Lindsay’s Sober House roommates were drinking heavily one week ago, and that’s the real reason for the roommates being moved back into the main Betty Ford facility. So where does Lindsay’s crack hustle come into the picture? Well, although TMZ claims there is no “proof” that Lindsay was or is drinking again, the Betty Ford Clinic still moved her back to the main facility too, for “intensive therapy.” Which I believe is the new code for “the crackhead never learns.”
Lindsay Lohan’s roommates had a party a week ago last Saturday night, and TMZ has learned the booze was flowing and the girls got in a heap of trouble.
We’re told Lindsay and her roomies were staying at a satellite house at the Betty Ford Clinic. The roommates were “drinking heavily” and somehow the Betty Ford people found out and busted them.
The roommates were moved back to the main facility at Betty Ford, which has more supervision.
As for Lindsay, we’re told there was no evidence she had been drinking, but we’re told after the incident Betty Ford officials decided Lindsay could not leave the area for Christmas.
We’re also told Lindsay has gone back to the main Betty Ford facility, not for punishment but for “intensive therapy.”
By the way, sources connected with Lindsay are telling us she went out with two of her roommates the night of the party to a bar. We could not independently confirm the story, however, again, we’re told there’s no evidence Lindsay was drinking.

I seriously doubt this will be the end of the story, and I suspect that within 24 hours, a stiff tequila-soaked, menthol-scented wind will blow through and Mother Crackhead will be squawking about how “Everybody in the Betty Ford Clinic will be fired, basically.” Also – what are the chances that all of Lindsay’s roommates were the ones drinking, while our little crackhead was just soberly brushing her hair and doing her nails, innocently? Yeah. My guess: The Crackhead Is Back. And it was probably HER plan to get the booze and get sauced at the Sober House.
I think the stalker story was a coverup for her getting caught and getting moved back into the main rehab facility. She probably was talking to Sam Lutfi but that’s a separate issue. All of this bogus she’s being stalked by a pap was a smokescreen to cover up this story that wound up leaking anyway.
I don’t recall hearing she still has to wear her scram anklet thingy. Too bad it can’t detect crack she needs daily drug testing at her expense.

TMZ said she broke curfew and that she is only going back to the main facility until next week then she is doing 1 week of sober living and then she is leaving.
She is allowed to leave exactly 2 weeks from today. Then after she leaves rehab there is just over 7 weeks until she goes back to court and will complete probation IF she stays away from drugs and alcohol until then.
She’s probably drinking everything she can find in the medicine cabinet and any cleaning fluids too.

I agree with you. I grew up really liking this girl (we’re the same age). And I truly believe she was a good actress and an absolutely stunning girl. I feel really bad for her.
I do believe she is responsible for her actions and that she is spoiled from her wealth. But I also know what it’s like to have an emotionally abusive, substance abusing parent, and it’s easy to follow that path. She just doesn’t have good people around her.
If this is true, I feel like there is little hope left for her. It kind of makes me feel sick how many people bask in her downfall.

@Innocent: quite often in the case of court ordered rehab, a probation violation might not be addressed until the rehab stay is over. In other words, IF she tested positive (and it’s entirely possible that she DID drink and tested negative because the testing could have been done too late), the judge could simply wait until she is done with rehab and nail her at her next scheduled court date. Or she could have not had any alcohol at all. Who knows? The point is that Betty Ford is not going to tell TMZ anything and the court might not release a statement and nothing could be decided until the next scheduled court date.
Lindsay isn’t “committed to” or really even interested in “sobriety”. She’s in rehab because, at least in her mind, “they made her” go. She tried (and failed) to play-act her way through court, now she’s trying (and failing) to play-act her way through this rehab stay. There are no new roles, there are no scripts, there are no offers, there is no “stalker”. There is only a sad, spoiled, washed-up brat who desperately wants to “party” and get wasted and a family full of enabling leeches who want an easy meal ticket.
The point is, she was with the group partying even if she didn’t drink. Shows real dedication to sobriety. LOL She’s a lost cause imo.
Expecting Lohan to conduct herself smartly in the dregs of her career and life demands a strength of character that she doesn’t seem to possess…she may yet get there, but expect many more mistakes and a steep learning curve before she does. She’s got years of growing in emotional maturity to catch up on and she’s still surrounded by dreck, so it’s not going to be an easy journey for her.

After seeing Machete, my sentiments towards Lindsay changed a lot. They changed from feeling disgusted, caustic and mocking to feeling hugely pitiful of her. I loved her little performance in “Bobby” way back when and she seemed to me such a talented young actress. To see someone self-destruct like that and be so oblivious is just disheartening. The sad reality of this is she won’t get better unless she wants to get better. And this new story seems to point towards her still not realising she has a problem, regardless even of whether she was drinking with those roommates or not.
This one needs a mentor, someone sane and kind who will earn her trust, be a good example and help her extricate herself from this muck. Poor thing. Just poor thing.

I have a lot of compassion for addicts and the affect disorders that fuel their addiction, but I think what it boils down to is Lohan’s own narcissism. She’s had more opportunities than most, and still refuses to acknowledge that she’s the common denominator for all of her problems (and drugs are the least of her issues, imo).
You can only push people so far before you alienate them completely. It’s a very valuable life lesson that some people never learn. And I think that if you outright refuse to take responsibility for your own bullshit – you deserve the company you keep.

Not that ‘every day’ people don’t have to fight *hard* to beat an addiction, but in Lindsay’s case it’s even more challenging, given that she’s constantly surrounded by temptation & enablers (being in ‘show business’ where an abundance of drugs & alcohol is always readily available, and pressure is everywhere.)
She’s constantly being followed, having to listen to her parents being nutjobs, while also worrying about her career going nowhere. I’d probably try to find some ‘self medication’ to get away from it.

However, I guess we’re projecting our own feelings on her and # 57 makes an excellent point: it’s very hard to accept her as a typical drug addict with all the glamour and wealth that surrounds her and the lifestyle she has chosen and/or keeps choosing.
She could have chosen any other path but she would have to fight BOTH her parents in order to live her own life.
Her mother is a business woman and Lindsay is a commodity, in stead of a person. Unfortunately that is how she perceives herself too. She is therefore unable to separate career from her personal identity which makes her a target all the time. Even this rehab stint is just a career move in stead of a serious attempt to overcome her addiction.
It’s hard to see a young talented girl throw her life away and not being able to take responsibility for it. Maybe that’s why the comments are so harsh, it’s frustrating and nobody would want this for anybody.
I hope I’m wrong, but it seems that this could be a vicious cycle for her until she makes the ultimate decision: to get out of that lifestyle and live, or to continue being a target with no hope of ever recovering.

I have. My best friend stuggled for a great deal of his life with alcoholism and most of our friendship with drug addiction. He got clean, was sober for almost a year, and then died, partially due to the after effects of cocaine. So yeah, I get it. I also am angry with the number of chances this girl has had and yet she still apears to take little responsibility for her actions and continues to surround herself with enablers. I am angry that my friend had to spend 30 days in Riker’s Island {prison, not jail – general population) for his substance fueled behavior while it’s basically ignored that she carjacked and kidnaped people to take a wild ride down a freeway while hopped up on cocaine and violated probation several times. Drugs and alcohol indirectly cut down my best friend at age 48. I would hate to see Lindsay Lohan cut down at half his age for the same thing. But that’s where she’s headed. I don’t know what rock bottom has to be for this girl.
Before reading I thought these were pics of her mom and her mom looks older than she is. This is just so sad . . . . She would make a great poster child for NOT doing drugs if you want to keep your looks. I don’t think she’s ready to be sober and until she is, all the rehab in the world won’t work. I mean, they just say our job here is done and then turn them loose on society without doing any kind of surprise follow up visits or putting someone in the house with them (and by someone I mean an adult with more than half a brain) or posting their photos in every liquor store within a 20 mile radius? Watch, Dina and Michael will find someone way to lay the blame on Betty. I smell a lawsuit.

I have seen alcoholics and drug addicts struggle with addiction. I’ve seen people both succeed and fail with rehab. But here’s one thing I can say for sure:
No one I’ve ever seen that is serious about sobriety has pranced around demanding attention. No, they didn’t have the paps around but I’ve known people successful enough that pulled themselves out of their comparative limelight until they had been clean and sober for awhile.
So no. Lindsay does not look like she’s been trying. She looks like she is lying and trying to manipulate, like every addict does. And if her roommates are now getting involved she’s now dragging down the sobriety of the people around her.
Any compassion I may have felt has been entirely eroded.

Actually, in my experience, all drug addicts are INFURIATING. Because they are throwing their wonderful lives away while their loved ones suffer. Absolutely, douchy behavior goes hand in hand with drug addiction in my experience as well. I won’t go into specifics, but in my particular case, the addict is/was a very charming intelligent person who would then turn around and steal your grandmother’s car for drug money. If that’s not douchy behavior I don’t know what is! I guess it’s all a matter of perspective.
But yeah, I could’ve wrung Lohan’s neck when she hit that kid in the stroller. But I blame our jacked up legal system for allowing her to be out driving in the first place.

@Marie: Agree, until your last line. I don’t think she’s an addict, in the sense that she is probably not genetically predisposed to being susceptible to addictive behavior. She very may well have developed some addictions along the way, but I don’t believe that is her main problem.
I can’t put my finger on WHY LL’s addiction strikes a false note with me (after all, there are “real” addicts who are playing the system too!) but there is something in their actions that is just, different.
