I hope she recovers soon. The last couple of decades have been really hard on her health. But all the stories I’ve heard about her make her seem very kind, particularly to people who aren’t in a position to help her. That’s rare in life and even more rare in Hollywood, it seems.

  2. CandyKay says:

She was the Angelina Jolie of her generation.

Great beauty – check. Lures husband away from America’s Sweetheart -check. Adopts child in media spotlight – check. Conversion from wild child to acts of charity – check.

Oh boy! Elizabeth needs all the divine help she can get at this point in time!

  4. Jen (the other one) says:

    CandyKay, that is spot-on, mate.

    Best wishes to Ms. Taylor.

She reminds me of my mom, who sadly passed away about 5 years ago. But I remember growing up and my mom watching Elizabeth Taylor movies and I always thought Liz was so regal. Most of today’s actresses don’t hold a candle to her.

And MSat, there is almost nothing worse than watching a parent die a slow death. You really do wish for the end to just come, so they don’t suffer anymore.

Here’s to her being around and in good health for a long time to come.

Wow, the last post by Cari makes me realize why I have such an affinity for the fans of Celebitchy. I’ve been through the ringer. Parents dying a slow death, suicides…you name it.

That is why I love & identify w/Liz so much, too. She really is a beauty. No nose jobs here. I hope the next generation in Hollywood resemble her in many ways. A strong woman. The dark hair & blue eye combination is so rare & exquisite. I could never be bored looking at her face & the light that eminates from those eyes.

Cari, I am sorry for your loss.

I lost my Mother a year ago, but she went fast and didn’t suffer long.

We used to tell her how much she looked like Liz Taylor. She would joke back and say; Wait, the young Liz or the old Liz? 😉

Nan, she was famous for her violet eyes, I agree though, beautiful combo.

Well played, CandyKay. The only thing missing for the true side-by-side comparison is La Jolie’s conversion to Judaism. And the big honking diamonds.

I’m not anti-Semitic or anything, but I’d rather have the rocks.
