These are photos of Rachel McAdams and Harrison Ford at the Berlin premiere of Morning Glory last night. Rachel is wearing this rather spectacular red and black Michael Kors. This is one of those times where I adore the dress, but I wish I could see it on someone else. Not that I don’t love Rachel – I do, and I think she’s gorgeous. However, she’s been doing this lighter hair for so long… and I really miss her having darker hair. With darker hair (and lighter lipstick, right?), I don’t think this Kors would have looked so harsh. That being said, it’s still a great dress, and I applaud Rachel for picking it out.
Regarding Morning Glory – that film sank without a trace, didn’t it? Lots of critics even liked it, and said it was one of the better romantic-comedy-dramas of recent memory. I haven’t seen it yet, but I’d like to.
Also: Rachel’s still-on boyfriend Michael Sheen was nowhere to be seen, but that’s not surprising. She probably doesn’t want to flaunt the relationship so soon.

The dress is alright, I do like colour. It’s the lip shade that’s making her look odd, not the dress. Bad makeup job!

Love the dress, hate it on her. It would have looked much better with her darker hair.
I think the lipstick really is making her face look very harsh. She should have opted for her ‘eyes’ as the focus instead. (& thus downplayed the lips with something more neutral).
But the other unfortunate aspect is the color of the background she’s in front of… it’s almost the *exact* same color as the dress, so you lose a lot of her body lines. (& the drama the bright red would have otherwise had.)
She’s so gorgeous! Hope she goes back to her brown hair. She looks great as blondie but as a brunette she rocks!
A darker red might have been a better choice.
Please bring back the darker hair! I’ve always hated her as a blonde. Love her as a brunette.

Wow! She looks gorgeous. The dress is flattering and sexy and the lippy pops too. It’s the eye-makeup that’s a little off and I’m not wild about her hairstyle but the hair itself looks shiny and healthy.
she usually finds a way to make herself look off. she’s not innately stylish.
I usually HATE black and red combo, but this dress is to die for! Funny how I can always co-sign everything fashion wise written here!

I find it upsetting to see the difference between how natural and charming Harrison Ford used to be in movies, and what an arrogant ass he always acts like now onscreen, in every role.
I date it back to the mid-90s, when he went around telling interviewers that what he really enjoyed was watching his investments and counting his money. It sure shows in his acting nowadays.
Morning Glory = definitely a pay-per-view movie. One multiple-person viewing for the price of a bucket of popcorn: sounds about right.
@ Ally I completely agree with you about Harrison Ford. He used to be able to, you know, act. Now he just goes around looking constipated on screen. Also, I hate blonde hair on Rachel McAdams. She really needs to go back to being a brunette.

Morning Glory was cute and enjoyable and I really don’t usually like Rom-Coms. The only bad thing about it was Harrison Ford. It was uncomfortable watching him try to act and he talked in a very deep, slow voice the whole time.
The dress is definitely the wrong color and style for Rachel. Maybe for someone else, not for her.
McAdams is so beautiful….this gown doesn’t go her justice. (But Kors seems like a prick…so that’s probably coloring my judgment.)

Remember when j-lo wore this literally years ago to the oscars I think? It was in an amazing orange colour. Yeah, red and black combo is minging on rachel.

I LOVE the dress and think she looks beautiful! She dresses down well, and I think we’re just not used to seeing her look so glamorous.
Morning Glory is a great movie! I would highly recommend and would definitely watch it again. The actors fit their parts well.
I like her, but EVERYTHING she wears washes her out. I mean, I’m happy she isn’t orange but I really don’t know what to tell her.

She has amazing, unearthly skin that really glows against a darker hair color, which also brings out her eyes. She looks more average (Hollywood average) as a blonde.
That makeup is horrible. I think the dress would have worked without it but I can’t stop staring at the lip color.

Morning Glory is a good movie! I saw it twice (granted, I didn’t pay for the second time – snuck in – but I was willing to put in the time to see it). I don’t know why it disappeared so quickly. The second time, though, I was at a second-run theater and a lot of people were there, and it’s still playing at the second-run theaters, so maybe it’s reaching a wider audience that way.
Love the dress, hate how it blends in with her background. and yes, her lip color doesn’t fit with the dress, a lighter color would’ve been better.
The color IS wrong, but she is a beautiful woman. Maybe she should revisit some of her clothes from “Sherlock Holmes” (color, style, you know). I hate magenta, but it looked great on her….
