I’m not a fan of Thomas, but in the interest of fairness, the link does not state he is a tax cheat. According to the link, they paid taxes on his wife’s income; he just didn’t disclose that income on judicial financial disclosure forms (which serve to help determine possible judicial bias). Maybe a nose job. She’s always had prominent cheekbones and I think any extra definition there and w/her chin can be explained by aging and weight loss. To those suggesting she had lip enhancements: kill yoself expeditiously, LOL. She’s always had poofy lips. (Take two seconds to Google her older work and see that). And she’s still pretty.
I’m pretty sure people with naturally large lips often maintain them with collagen – I have naturally large lips myself and though I am only in my 20s I can already see them slowly losing their youthful plumpness. SOOOO refrain from telling people to kill themselves, please and thanks.

If you take a look at her old Law and Order days, you’ll see how different her face was. So sad about the nose job though. Whether it’s Halle Berry, Toni Braxton, Holly Robinson Peete or even Beyonce, Black women in Hollywood always have to gentrify their noses to fit what is perceived as beautiful.
As far as I know, only Voila Davis is holding on to her real nose.

Some women are born with full lips – she’s one of them.
I am an African American woman with full lips and nose. And you are right about her lips they have always been that size (although one looks bigger than the other). I don’t think she is pretty at all. Not ugly either. She is “walkable” to me. “Walkable meaning she looks decent enough to be seen with in public and no I am not hating on her. Hell, I think Gabrielle Union and Nia Long look better than Kerry WAshington!!!!
Her lips looks a little bigger but she looks mostly the same. Also she always had those cheekbones, no implants.
Looks like some fillers and botox..possibly eyelid lift. I don’t have any idea why she would put fillers in her lips, she does not need. I guess she didn’t see what Vivica’s lips looked like after filler. I think she looks fine. She is aging in Hollyweird and that requires some work.
She looks the same to me. Her nose has always looked like that, and she has always had very prominent cheekbones and full lips.
The only thing different about her I notice is how she is dressed. She is usually a conservative dresser, but here she is wearing Herve Leger and lately she has been stepping out of her comfort zone fashion-wise.
@Wonderful – You are so right. You do lose volume/fat in your lips(your entire face really)as you age. I have naturally plump lips and I can see some loss as well. But I will never inject anything into my lips.

I don’t think she’s had any plastic surgery. The weightloss is what caused the facial features to be more sunken, grandma’s neck, and boney in the chest area. I saw a nude photo of her, tastefullly done, and she’s sagging like an old woman, even being small. That’s gotta be due to weight loss.

But you’re right, I hadn’t even known a lot of the actresses & singers you listed had work done on their noses until pretty recently. I don’t think any of said women would deny being proud black women, but… They all change a feature that is notably ethnic in origin to become something else. It does start to make people look entirely too cookie cutter.
Personally, I’m not feeling Kerry Washington’s new look. I thought she was gorgeous before. Now I just feel like it’s way too exaggerated. (sort of like a cartoon character.)

I think that she’s beautiful for the most part. Tweaked but not plastic. I don’t care for her cheeks, however. I remember that my mother was just bowled over by her cheeks in an ad that Kerry did for L’oreal, and remember completely disagreeing. And this was before I new that they were likely surgically enhanced.

She’s always been gorgeous and probably always will be as she comes from good genes (Google her mom). Here’s the upside of being black on the red carpet. When features like big lips and booties are in, if you lose a little weight, flatten your tummy and slim your nose (and do some dark shading with blush on the sides), it makes the lips and booty look more pronounced and defined and saves you tons on other surgeries like (facial) cheeks and boob upgrades from the ones you got when you first entered the game. It’s also the pose. Google other classy bootlicious chicks and see the pose they strike. Almost identical and accentuates all the right things under those punishing lights.
While I can’t quite explain Vivica’s deal, that Kerry class, kids, is called 1990’s Janet Jackson 101.
I still think the cutest Kerry was when she was engaged to that curly headed guy. She glowed back then. I think he’s on Glee now or something? Right?

So true! But she’s lost more weight than usual, and the makeup looks like an older woman trying to maintain youth. Overdone.
The dress is perfect tight fit on her, giving her some curves. But in truth, her once round youthful figure has gone with the weight loss (the bottom is no more . . .and her petite boobs have gone a little south unless propped up by a great fashion).
Btw. Not all black women have round bottoms. I don’t think she ever did, she just knows how to make the most of what she’s got.

I was also wondering about the weight loss. I estimated 25lbs but she was, once upon a time, almost chubby by Hollywood standards. I wonder if the loss is for a role or one of those efforts to “naturally” join the “I’m over 30 now but still hawt” club. Either way, she’s still a gem.

She’s so beautiful, I just hope she doesn’t go the way of other Hollywood icons in trying dieting until she loses what gives her such sex appeal. A naturally beautiful woman, butt or no butt, even if her boobs were hanging down to her ankles she’d be a classic beauty. The Bette Davis type, if white. Timeless if she doesn’t get pulled into the Hollywood “looking younger trap.”

I didn’t believe it before. But looking at these, I guess it’s possible she got cheek implants. Her lips are hers and the rest of her is natural (however skinny).
I thought it was the makeup, but saw another picture where the implant is defined (looks like Madonna’s new implants without the plumping or fillers). It’s attractive looking, but odd on a woman who didn’t need it. If it’s weight loss, that’s sad also. Hope she gets it together. She’s gorgeous, but probably lost in media demands of maintaining youth at any cost. Truly sad, because I like this actress and the integrity she used to stand for.
