US Weekly has details of a dinner and drinks date that estranged couple Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds were on in LA recently. This could possibly come from a source close to the couple and be meant to either prepare us for a reunion or push some kind of image of these two as having a bittersweet divorce. Heads turned at L.A.’s Chateau Marmont at 11 p.m. Jan. 28, when exes Ryan Reynolds and Scarlett Johansson, who filed for divorce Dec. 23, got drinks on the patio and chatted for an hour.
Johansson, 26, did most of the talking in what appeared to be a rollercoaster conversation. She would at some points smile, then appear to fight back tears. Turns out it wasn’t just a nightcap, either.
The pair also dined at L.A.’s Little Door earlier that night and “seemed comfortable,” says a source.
So are they back on? “There are no plans to reconcile, but they’re still friends,” adds an insider. (Reynolds, 34, spent a flirty New Year’s Eve with Sandra Bullock; a rep for Johansson recently denied reports that she is dating Saturday Night Live’s Jason Sudeikis.)
Says another pal of the former couple, “They have divorce details to work out, and they’d rather do it face-to-face than in some office.”

This sounds like it’s from Ryan’s people. “Scarlett was teary” is meant to contrast with the stories that she’s been happily boning random guys like Justin Long. (Which she denies.) Ryan wants to make it seem like she’s still hung up over him, when he’s the one who is more upset about the end of the marriage.
I do think that Sandra Bullock and Ryan had some kind of fling, and that’s based on the wording in a US Weekly cover story that came straight from Bullock’s camp. It seems to be over now. Someone wants to convince us that Scarlet and Ryan’s divorce isn’t acrimonious, and maybe it isn’t, but who gets divorced when they’re still getting along and there’s nothing happening on the side? I know it happens, but it seems unlikely to me.

I may be misreading something here (which is possible since I just woke up), but article says they met up on JANUARY 28, which was just a few days ago. They separated on Dec. 23, which is right before christmas.
So maybe this article isn’t ancient after all…?
Her famous assets are looking very deflated lately.
This is last year’s story with an added description of her “teary eyed” The latest story was the sighting on 1/28/11 @ The Little Door Restaurant where they slipped out the back door and left in the same car. (Ex spouses w/benefits?). This divorce is not about cheating even they said they love each other, BUT bottom line is their careers are first!!! Ryan is in South Africa filming “Safe House” and she is in LA filming ” We bought a Zoo” If we are going to discuss what we don’t know about this couple, the least we can do is find the latest story and discuss the details of it.

These two people love each other. In the Vanity Fair Hollywood issue, he looks sad. She is being very conservative. But, she does manage to
shed tears in a very public place. They need to get back together and start making babies. They are in it together, for the benefit of their careers. Even if the divorce is finalized, they’ll still be together.
They are not looking for new mates.
Since they don’t have kids to muck up the gossip, my theory is that they are attempting to display the most “friendly” divorce on the planet. This will garner good press for both of them; since they can be contrasted to all the NASTY Divorces currently underway in Hollywood, and the press. They’ll pretend like they’re above any petty jealousy issues; which is probably what their whole relationship was based upon — fighting for mirror time. LOL

Ryan is being as conservative as Johansson. Their behavior is almost like they are re-inventing themselves for themselves or the tabloids.
Perhaps, his visit to SB caught Johansson’s attention and she decided not to let go of her Canadian. Their
behavior is not normal of two people divorcing. As far as face to face discussion about the divorce, that’s why attorneys are hired to handle the
issues of a pending divorce.
I hope they get back together, they make a great couple.
