Elisabetta Canalis: “My maternal desires are fully satisfied with my dogs”

wenn3131954

Oh, GOD. Elsabetta Canalis speaks! Again. And she’s letting us know why she’s got staying power as George Clooney’s girlfriend – she isn’t interested in all of that maternal junk, unless you’re talking about Clooney needing a good spanking because he’s such a naughty boy. Eli gave an interview to the Italian edition of Cosmo, and she details her lack of desire to ever be a mom: “My maternal desires are fully satisfied with my dogs.” You know George probably has a dog collar and leash on right now. Eli also expresses how happy she is to simply be “the girlfriend of…” Good thing, too. Because the girl cannot act.

A junior version of George Clooney sounds adorable – to everyone but his girlfriend, Elisabetta Canalis. The Italian model-actress, 32, who has been dating the Oscar winner since 2009, said she doesn’t plan on having any kids with her “American boyfriend.”

“[Getting pregnant has] never been an objective for me,” Canalis tells the Italian edition of Cosmopolitan. “My maternal desires are fully satisfied with my dogs.”

No surprise there: Clooney, 49, has previously shared the same sentiment about skipping out on fatherhood – and another wedding, after being married to actress Talia Balsam from 1989 to 1993.

Instead, Canalis is living her life in Los Angeles in the fast lane – literally. As a pastime, the couple likes to hit the road on Clooney’s motorcycle.

“We love the coast, the Pacific Highway, with its rocks, the surfers and the ocean,” she says.

And when they’re not enjoying one-on-one time, she says she has no problem staying in the passenger’s seat. “It’s relaxing,” she adds.

“I love it to bits,” she says. “I am happy to participate at events as the ‘girlfriend of.’ ”

While Canalis won’t be to specific as to what that role entails, she does provide one hint: Pointing out the difference between Italian and American men, she says it comes down to three words.

“Italian men find it really hard to say, ‘I love you,’ ” she says. “In summary, American men are more open from an emotional standpoint.”

[From People]

This helps me understand a little bit more why Eli and George are coming up on their two-year anniversary. George finally found himself a woman who shares his interests – no kids, no marriage, lots of kinky sex and lots of money. When I put it like that, I might be up for it too.

Also – what I wouldn’t give for Eli’s Iggy-Pop-nemesis Jennifer Aniston to simply state her position on babies as succinctly as this.

As a woman who has chosen not to have kids, I commend her for this! I find that most people assume I want kids and don’t understand why I don’t. My maternal instinct is completely satisfied by being a guardian to my pets. But I must ask, does the tattoo on her arm really say “Pain is love”??????

  2. Rita says:

“My maternal desires are fully satisfied with my dogs.”

As long as her “sexual desires” are not.

  3. brin says:

Guess she’s smarter than she looks.

  4. OtherChris says:

    Fine. She’s still butt ugly.

  5. devilgirl says:

I still say she is a man.

  6. whitedaisy says:

I have one word for Elisabetta.

    Woof.

  7. irishserra says:

Are American men really more open emotionally than Italian? Huh. I am surprised to hear this. I figured it would be the other way around.

  8. mia girl says:

She looks like a good looking contestant on RuPaul’s Drag Race.

  9. Rose says:

Jesus, can we quit calling her a man like we’re stupid name-calling muppets? And good for her for living her life as she sees fit.

  10. Jayna says:

I know a lot of people in their early 30 who weren’t thinking about children. All but one changed by 38 to 40 and really wanted a child and they all had one. The one that didn’t want one married a man that did and she had the baby and adoooores that baby.

She’s only 32 and trying to hook her man, so, since he’s not having children, it isn’t important to her because she wants him and adores him. But she may or may not change her mind as she gets older. Howard Stern didn’t want any more children and his girlfriend has been fine with that and accepted it and they are happy and she is very involved in animal charities.

I don’t see George changing his mind. So if Elisabetta does, she will have to moveon, if he hasn’t already dumped her first.

  11. Catherine says:

She is incredibly unattractive. Very manly.

  12. fancyamazon says:

I don’t know where these men are that you think she looks like one. Not a fan of hers, but I’ve noticed that there are lots of women in the public eye that get this “manly” tag a lot, and I have yet to really see it in any of them.

  13. Riley says:

@Devilgirl: I agree. Dude looks like lady.

  14. Amy says:

Oh please! I bet half of you wish you were that “incredibly unattractive”! I know I do.

  15. beth says:

she’s rather good looking in an androgynous way, like Hilary Swank.
she shouldn’t have said used ‘my desires’, and ‘satisfied by dogs’ in one sentence – i saw her having totally inappropriate ‘relationships’ with her dogs………………..

  16. Johnny Depp's Girl says:

    @Rita!! LMFAO

    Still hate her.

I have one kid. I dont want anymore, trust me.. and I still get asked when I am gonna have another.

My son is 11, so how bout.. never!

    One is enough.

  17. brin says:

From now on she will be Liz Canolies in my mind.

  18. Valerie says:

Wow, she’s only 32?! I thought she was at least 40. She looks rough for 32…I’m 30 and look 16 next to her!

  19. WhiteNoise says:

@Rose, Amy, FancyAmazon – agree. ‘Man hands’, ‘trannie’, ‘manly’, every time, it’s just lame and lazy and demeaning, just because her look isn’t generic and bland.

And if she’s happy with things as they are, good for her.

  20. Melanie says:

    She looks like Steven Tyler.

  21. mln76 says:

Good for her, but do you think she’d stick around this long if that wasn’t the case?

Being a mom doesn’t make you a real woman and I hate that we still define happiness by house, husband, and kids in this society. I have nieces and many children in my life that I love watching grow up. That being said I am in the ‘never say never’ category.

  22. Aqua says:

It’s a good thing she doesn’t want marriage and kids and is really happy with being the girlfriend of…and ridin down the highway on the motorcycle because that’s all she’s going to get.George has said he doesn’t want marriage or kids so could this be a match made in heaven? No wonder she has stuck around so long they think exactly alike lol.

  23. Praise St. Angie! says:

I think she looks a little “mannish” too, but also a little bit attractive.

like, a drag version of Cindy Crawford.

which is EXACTLY what Georgie wants, I think.

  24. Ashley says:

“” “My maternal desires are fully satisfied with my dogs.”
    “””
Ok, then maybe in your death bed your pooch can come and hold your hand when you are saying your goodbyes….

  25. Liana says:

Jesus, can we quit calling her a man like we’re stupid name-calling muppets?
    *************

I love the smell of ironic hypocrisy in the morning.

  26. Stephy2585 says:

Audrey-I thought it said “Dare to Love” at first, but I think you’re right!
    Ughhs.
    What an obnoxious tattoo.

  27. tango says:

She could be telling the truth or she could be lying. Who cares? But we’re all smart enough to know that if she did say she wanted kids, it’d motivate George to kick her to the curb even quicker. So for relationship longevity reasons, it’s best she say no kids.

  28. Jenny says:

Don’t have a comment on her looks and not wanting children is also fine, as it is a choice. My question is why the major pronouncemnt? It almost comes across like a press release. Private decision, so why bring it up? There seems to be an obsession with children (or not)and baby bumps (hate the term) in Hollywood which is creepy.

  29. tango says:

Oh, of course she’d stick around this long even if she wanted kids. Why? Because I know a woman who’s been with a guy 4 years. She wants kids, he doesn’t. He won’t even propose, let alone marry her because he knows he’ll get divorced sooner or later over the issue. So what does my friend do? Sit and wait and hope he’ll change his mind though he’s told her many times he won’t. He’s enjoying her company, sex, friendship and perks so it’s no problem if she wants to waste time. And this guy is no George Clooney in looks or income.

So yes, Elisabetta could be like lots of other people who want kids but are with a partner who doesn’t so is secretly hoping the other person will change their mind or an “birth control accident” can occur to make it so.

  30. Lynda says:

another one I am so done with.

  31. gloaming says:

Yeah, every time I see a photo of her I look for a penis, like a Where’s Wally type deal. —-Where’s Willy!

  32. Kiska says:

I’m probably the only one on here that finds her beautiful. If she didn’t cake on the make-up you’d see she has incredible features.

As for her statement…well, it is refreshing to see that not every woman is clutching her pearls and lamenting about not being a Mother.

  33. Nanea says:

“… living her life in Los Angeles in the fast lane”

But she’s been in Italy since forever, ever since they got back from Cabo.

GC went off to Sudan, and is filming in Kentucky and Ohio right now.

Why the interview now, even if it’s Cosmo Italy? What is she promoting this time around?

  34. mln76 says:

@Ashley. I worked with elderly people for years. Some kids are devoted and involved and others are seriously waiting for their parents to die so they can cash in. Sad but true.

  35. Cherry Rose says:

I find Elisabetta beautiful. She has a lovely body and a strong face. Plus, she doesn’t seem as dumb as the other broads that George has dated.

  36. Kim says:

She knows Geroge isnt into kids so of course she isnt going to scare him off by saying she wants kids.

Some women dont & if she really doesnt then they r a good match.

But me thinks her tune might quickly change if they got married.

  37. Aqua says:

Off topic I know ,but I use to work in an extended care home and families would come and pick their parent up for a weekend stay at home, some had no families and some just wouldn’t bother which always made me sad especially around Easter and Christmas.

  38. mln76 says:

@Aqua I worked as a Home Health Aide and I saw pretty much the same thing. What is surprising is how many people without children still have a stable support system of friends/family etc.

  39. notsoanonymous says:

I’ve never been a fan of arm tats on women, but the tribal armband style has got to be the worst thing this woman has (not)going for her. It’s horrible!

  40. Bailey says:

    Rita, LOL
I just spit my green tea all over the screen

  41. alexandra says:

I am on Elisabeta’s side. I love dogs and I could not be bother with children. I am happily married for 9 years with not children by choice. And we could no be happier. All my friends that are married with children are unhappy and bitter. Their married life has gone down the drain. Their husbands complaint about the nagging, lack of sex, and the unsatiable material desires of their kids.

  42. liz says:

Sure he is. Right now he just sees $$$$$$

  43. Rosanna says:

I 100% agree with her! I don’t even have dogs, but am dog tired of people assuming I must be wanting kids because I’m a woman. My biology doesn’t govern me.

  44. Jane says:

As much as I love George, he has problems that should be a red flag to any woman who wants a future with him. He can’t commit to anyone for too long for some reason. There is something missing in his psychological makeup that is causing him to be in and out of relationships since 1993 (or maybe before).

He seems to be able to get emotional and committed about causes, but when it concerns one on one, his history is pathetic.

I hope Elsabetta is sincere when she says she doesn’t want children and she is not just saying it to keep George. George will dump her in a few years, if not sooner, and move on to the next pretty, young thing.

There is always hope. Look at Warren Beatty. Who would have thought he would wind up married with kids considering his reputation.

  45. Marjalane says:

Some of you need to look up the definition of “opinion” and then state yours, and shut up. And yeah, she’s all kinds of tranny looking, IN MY OPINION.

  46. another observer says:

she’s probably campaigning to get george to take her to the oscars on the 23rd.

  47. Michelle says:

They do not look like a couple.

  48. Hautie says:

I still suspect Clooney had that vasectomy a long time ago. He was not taking any chances. And it makes him alot smarter than most men in LA.

And I have always been annoyed by the obsession of the “YOU MUST HAVE A BABY!” chant that the minivan majority pushes.

I am even more annoyed by the kids they have and let run wild in the grocery store. 🙂

  49. Michelle says:

I love my 9 dozen roses.

  50. Jayna says:

@Kiska, I think she’s extremely attractive. Very naturally pretty, which is refreshing, with a beautiful figure, that’s not over the top. Nice not to see that overdone look on her face, but beautiful (soft, not overprocessed) hair, not overly made up, can look great without makeup, no big double DDD implants the Hollywood celebutarts get and, most importantly, no freaky blown-up lips or fillers.
And an accent can always make someone seem even sexier. I am a sucker for a British accent and/or French accent on a man.

  51. Audrey says:

@ Jane – I don’t think George has problems at all. He is actually living the life most men would live if they had a chance. Men are not naturally monogamous. They have to work at it.

  52. Leslie says:

As an honorary member of the minivan majority (don’t drive a minivan, but have kids, some who occasionally act like children in public places), I have to stand up for motherhood. Great for Elisabetta. If you don’t want them, don’t have them. Everyone must follow their heart and personal plan. (Now, can we be sure of her stance in light of her age and relationship to forever bachelor Clooney? Hard to say.)

But to suggest (as some comments have) that not having children will make you happier is as ignorant as saying not having them will leave you empty. This world runs on children. They are our future. And, yes, they take a lot more work than a dog, but I believe they provide deeper opportunities for love, learning and growth than an animal can. (And don’t get me wrong, animals provide plenty of those opportunities, just on a smaller scale.)

Also, I think she’s plenty attractive.

  53. danielle says:

I also think that it’s entirely possible that she doesn’t want kids. Some women don’t, and that’s fine.

  54. Brittney says:

All this body-snarking (yes, the face counts too) simply reflects poorly on the people doing it. Did you ever consider that the few pictures on this page were chosen expressly to solicit that reaction from you? I highly doubt she’d be where she is in life if many, many people didn’t find her very attractive.

Sure, these are unflattering shots. But if someone were taking a picture of you for every second you were out in public, I’m sure I could pull together a dozen that made you look horrible, too.

  55. Liana says:

I’ve never been a fan of arm tats on women, but the tribal armband style has got to be the worst thing this woman has (not)going for her. It’s horrible!

    ***********

It originally said “Eminem,” which makes it even worse.

  56. LindaR says:

“My maternal desires are fully satisfied with my dogs.” And I want to marry the very rich and desirable George Clooney so I will say anything he wants to hear.

  57. Tazina says:

She is a beautiful woman who speaks her mind. George likes her because along with being gorgeous with a great body, she is a woman who is confident in herself and knows what she wants.

  58. observer says:

It’s news to NO ONE that George does not want kids with Skanknalis. And no one believes this is Skanknalis’s decision. Once again we see the control theme in this press release, as we’ve seen in her past press releases. I guess the idea is to try to make the public think she has any kind of control or influence over Clooney, when the fact is she has no control or influence over him.

Another thing I noticed with this latest press release is that she’s trying hard to sell herself as his “girlfriend,” saying that she’s happy to participate at events as the “girlfriend of.” Now, pretend for a minute that she is his actual real girlfriend, and ask yourself whether that’s something a real girlfriend would say. WTF? You’re happy to be known at events as the girlfriend of? That’s something only a famewhore would say, but of course that’s actually the case here, and in this particular sentence she’s actually told the truth for a change. She’s only playing the role of girlfriend at photo op “events” and not in real life.

Their publicity agreement ended in December. Her publicist is still working this thing for all it’s worth, though.

  59. another observer says:

and to all of you who think she’s attractive, pretty, whatever..
no apologies to you, because this http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0686376/ is a beautiful woman. and she can actually act.
i believe right now, the only ‘acting’ contract Canalis’s got right now in hollywood is with george. amirite?

  60. observer says:

@another observer, I completely agree with you.

  61. Aqua says:

I think the reason she has put this statement out there is because she probably gets asked this question a lot. Some men don’t want any children and some men have too many (Stewart and Krammer and God knows how many others.Their probably was a lot more to this interview and this was all that was picked up but all she seems to talk about is her and George(which surprises me that he lets her talk about as much as she does)I sometimes wonder what she’s into other (than George)lol.Any charities that she supports?anything that she cares enough about to draw attention too?I’m not trying to be mean but she just comes across as superficial to me.Be someone other than George Clooneys girlfriend.JMHO that’s all.And I’m not saying she is superficial because she doesn’t want kids that’s between them.

  62. hottathanholywatta says:

good for her for not conforming to all the demands that people magazine readers put on EVERY woman. I believe in both having kids and not having kids based on peoples situations, because when there is 14 year old having them that’s clearly a selfish and stupid move. Or having kids for the wrong reasons, like because of societal pressures. She’ll probably be blacklisted by the minivan majority for having a conflicting opinion, but kudos to her!!!

  63. Camille says:

I agree with your write up Kaiser (especially the last sentence).

I think old Cloon-dog has found his perfect (for now?) match. No wonder he is sticking with this one. She had better never change her stance on marriage and kids etc or she will be out that door faster than she can say ‘spank me’.

I also agree with @Leslie #55 comment 100%. Well said!

  64. Meanchick says:

I’m sorry, why is she talking?

  65. lisa says:

George does not want children. And the fact that at almost 50 and a few relationships there have been no oops moments.

She knows the deal. If she had said she wanted children then people would be calling her a fool, and asking George why is he waisting her time. So she says what is required. Perhaps she does not want children. FINE. I for one never wanted children, and have always been honest with any man I have dated. So that is the way.

but sad that some women are with men and they just talk his talk. Women don’t have the luxury of waiting. I don’t care about these Hollywood women having children past 40. For the majority of women in the world that does not happen. So if you want kids you better have them before it is too late. YOUR body is not a wall switch. Sometime you switch on the light and the bulb is dead.

She better know what she wants.

  66. DeeDee says:

The only thing I can think of when I see pictures of her is Aerosmith’s Dude Looks Like A Lady.

    haha!

On another note, of course she has to say she doesn’t want kids! What other answer can she give and still get to ride the Clooney dong?

  67. DD says:

good for her if she’s telling the truth. No one should feel pressured one way or the other, and no one should be judged for their decision to have kids or not.

  68. Wa wa wah!!! says:

Well as prefertoremainanonymous/silverscreen/parislav/primeve/leisaelliott sees it, direct from a quote from none other than the black lady that calls herself the celebrity psychic, this contractual obligation has drawn to a close.

And now in reality, a true love for George is soon arriving in very short order, and that is factual. From a real psychic.

  69. observer says:

@Wa wa wah!!!: I post as silverscreen on IMDB. I’m not any of the other IDs you accused me of being, some of which I’ve never heard of. Nor am I “the black lady that calls herself the celebrity psychic,” whoever that is.

Starbucks, Warner Bros., whom else? Oh yeah, and she was “stalked by” none other than Sarah Larson. Ella tiene mucho problemas!!!

  71. Your mama says:

    Good for her/them!
However, I find that in Italy, men love saying that they love you & love being in love! Maybe it’s just to her…??

  72. jane16 says:

This interview was probably done 4 months ago at least. Wasn’t there a lot of talk last summer about an engagement & pregnancy? George probably told her to put the kibosh on that nonsense or else hit the road.

btw, none of us “minivan majority” moms (god, that phrase is dumb), want to see people that don’t want kids have kids. We don’t care if GC & Jennifer Anistons have kids, & the movie studios know that & don’t bother marketing their movies to us. They market them to single women. Anyone with the slightest knowledge of the movie industry knows this. I am around “minivan majority” moms 5 days a week & have never heard any of them mention either of these stars in any way or talk about their movies. I think a lot of you have picked this up from Lainey. She is completely whacked on this particular subject. Dead wrong. If GC & JA think they have to fake a “normal” relationship, its becuz they’re worried about pleasing their single fans, not busy moms. They know their demographics.

“” “My maternal desires are fully satisfied with my dogs.”
    “””
Ok, then maybe in your death bed your pooch can come and hold your hand when you are saying your goodbyes….
    ________

I read many stories about dogs who stood near the tombs of their owners, crying and hoping for seeing them again, and recently HW made a movie on that Japanese dog who waited for its owner at the train station for years after his death.
So probably she’s not completely wrong.
And if the purpose of having a kid is to have somebody who holds our hands while we’re dying, well, I guess that there’s something wrong in this world.
Anyway, we die alone (unless the death comes from a mass murder).

To whomever asked why she’s making this interview: probably because this week she’s “””co-hosting””” the Festival di Sanremo. I’d watch it just to see her (and the other girl’s) gowns, but I don’t have the guts to suffer a torture like that.
As for her saying that American men say “I love you” more easily than Italians, well I guess it’s her experience. What I noticed when I went to NYC is that Americans are way more spontaneously kind than Italians. Italians usually are quite cautious when they first meet a person. It depends on who you meet, anyway.

  74. nicole says:

@ashley- That was a nasty comment. You can have loved ones around you when you are elderly and they dont need to be children. Guess you must not have any siblings or husband, or close friends. Wonder why…

  75. jane16 says:

Your mama, agree 100%! My darling hubbie is from Italy & he’s totally lovey-dovey & romantic. Way more so than I am. Ditto for all the males in his family. I don’t think anything that comes out of Canalis’s mouth is true. That statement of hers was as absurd as everything else she says. George clearly has issues with women, my husband says he really only admires virtuous type women, but dates the brainless slutty type. We have seen these two together several times and they don’t show the least bit affection for each other. I don’t like her, becuz she’s rude and arrogant, but I’m starting to feel sorry for her.

  76. jane16 says:

Just clicked on observers justjared link. OH MY GOD! What the hell is she doing to that poor dog?!?! Is that really her? Yes, for godsake, Elisabetta, do not have children! Check it out ladies.

  77. Aqua says:

I hate the term “minivan mom”I’ve never owned one and I never will.As far as this relationship goes, they are both getting something out of it so if someone is unhappy for any reason the unhappy person could always leave.Better a little bit of pain now than a lot of regret later.I’ve seen the way she is trying to put the dog on the ground it totally freaked me out, I would never do that! She should have put her packages down first since they had handles on them and then your dog.

  78. Liana says:

My darling hubbie is from Italy & he’s totally lovey-dovey & romantic.
    ********

Lucky! My husband’s an Irish Italian dude from Brooklyn. He tries, but falls short of the true romantic stuff. But bless his sweet little heart for trying!

  79. jane16 says:

Haha! Thanks Liana! Your guy sounds very cool also! We’re both lucky!

  80. tacwr says:

nothing wrong with knowing that you don’t want children. by the way i too heard the stories about the dogs that cannot let go of their dead owners- it breaks my heart every time to think about how the dog must feel and no one can explain it to them. my dog died recently after 18 wonderful years and i’m still mourning and expecting him to show up and own my whole place like he used to.

LIANA – TELL ME YOU ARE MAKING A JOKE HERE!!! 😀

  82. No way says:

It is me or has she lost more weight especially in her face. She still looks like the two-faced girl on Seinfeld, or now a less attractive version of the transexual model Leah T. This is celebitchy not Mr. Rogers! I think she is trying to stay longer by saying what George wants to hear. Wonder if it will work.

  83. tuscan sun says:

I remember an interview Canalis gave in Italy BEFORE she met Clooney where she said that marriage and children were very important to her. So my guess is she’s lying now and just saying what Clooney wants to hear.

  84. notsoanonymous says:

Oh man. I just googled the Eminem tat. EW.

  85. Claire says:

I thought George was gay and she was his standin fake girlfriend

  86. Liana says:

@notsoanonymous: Yeah, I wish I had been kidding.

She’s a “two face” – in some pics she’s quite beautiful, and in others, not so much. I think she has definite “good sides” and good lighting. I know I look better from certain angles than others. Hey, she knows what she wants, so power to her!

  87. Mouse says:

So she’s the alpha dog? I’m going to call her that from now on. Alpha Dog, I mean that lady George Clooney dates.

Hm, I’d say she’s a handsome woman. Good looking, but not feminine, her features are kind of chiseled like a guy. Those tats are nasty, definitely does nothing to make her look womanly.

  88. TeeTee says:

uh, ya think–two men can’t conceive a baby.

    she/he doesn’t really have a choice..

  89. Javagirl1 says:

I bet if George suddenly wanted kids she’d be singing a different tune…

apparently, george already has a family.

    somebody alert canalis’ publicist.

  91. MorticiansDoItDeader says:

@Liana, Jesus, can we quit calling her a man like we’re stupid name-calling muppets?
    *************

I love the smell of ironic hypocrisy in the morning.

    LOL. Touché.

    @Leslie, well said and ITA

Also think maybe she wasn’t born with the proper child bearninh equipment.

  92. Dea says:

She is a total Bitch with a capital B. I just don’t understand the US media calling her an actress/model. Italians laugh at that. I come from Europe and everywhere in Europe and especially in Italy no one calls this woman an actress or model because she is neither. If you go to youtube and search for her name you will see her just doing striptism in those Italian shows and there is nothing about modeling or acting – it is just shaking the butt in the 5 minutes commercial time in the show. And, modeling for Armani came after she got involved with Clooney and she is the one using Clooney and not vice-versa. Now as to her comment, we want to emphasize that the comment came right after Clooney said at Pierce Morgan show that he is done with marriage. That sent a strong message to her. But she is such a strong Bitch that she wants people to know that she is with Clooney for other reasons and not kids or marriage – which is for fame!!! And she says Italian men do not say “I love you” that is so untrue. Maybe she never heard that line before because she went with those Italian men that sold her cocaine all the time and used her for sex. Let’s say Clooney might have his dark side to like this type of woman because she has no class. Period.

  93. Tiffany says:

Yes, it says Pain is Love, maybe that’s why her and Georgie are still together?

My hubby is Italian American and is extremely lovey to me. I have two kids and it’s great, but I totally support and respect my friends who choose to do without children. It’s the biggest responsibility in life, and a huge commitment. To each, their own!

  94. Kloops says:

I also think George has had a vasectomy. He will never have any children: biological or adopted. And maybe she’s being truthful about not wanting to be married but I wouldn’t be surprised if she just knows it’s not a possibility so she’s towing the party line. More than that, she loves being the professional spouse of a wealthy man. I think she is the perfect girlfriend for Clooney and see them going the distance.

  95. Nicki says:

@Ashley sounds like you are a nasty little girl (or immature older one). I also don’t want kids, never have since I was 12, and mid 30’s now. Am happily married with two dogs, and I would be delighted if they lived long enough to be at my funeral!
    N

  96. Laura says:

I read the title as ‘My maternal desires are fully satisifed with DONGS”

  97. Anna says:

George Clooney is gay. This is pretty well known so I am confused about why everyone is talking about Elizabeth Canoli and Clooney as a ‘real’ couple. Who knows what their arrangement is, maybe friends with benefits?

  98. angela says:

It makes a lot of sense when she says she’s not interested in having kids because she CANT have kids. After all, she was born a man.

  99. Lucy says:

Should I give any thought to that?
    …thinking…

comment: bi**h please… if you cannot live his (and your) life in a quiet and simple way, can you just vanish from planet Earth? Thank you! 🙂

She was very quiet for almost a month (record?!), waited for the Sanremo festival to open her mouth, almost one month after George said in Piers Morgan that he had no intentions in getting married again, pleaaaaaaaaseeeeeeee…

As for “they love the coast with its rocks, surfers and ocean…” Is she trying to suggest anything else? hmmm

She likes to be known is the girlfriend of?! I am not commenting on it, it says at all.

As for George not wanting kids, I don’t think he had a vasectomy. I don’t want have kids and i also have married friends who do not want kids either! So, either he really does not want kids or he can be sterile (more than 2 million couples are infertile in US).

  100. Bunnywabba says:

Nice. It’s high time women mention we don’t all have to be moms. But raising an infant to adulthood is SO fulfilling. Ha!

  101. Julia says:

“My maternal desires are fully satisfied with my dogs.”… As a mom of 2 kids I feel sorry for her…

  102. jzhz says:

I’m 39, and I have never wanted kids, either. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with people who want or have them, more power to them. But I do not envy or want that lifestyle (unlike being gay, having kids IS a lifestyle choice!). It’s nice to see someone being honest about how she feels. There’s a weird projection/assumption that a woman MUST be lying if she says she doesn’t want kids, or that we’re missing out on something. Guess what? No matter what you choose, you’re “missing out” on something, and I am happy to be missing out on that particular set of experiences.

  103. Lucy says:

I would bet george has had a vasectomy. Can’t imagine he would wear a raincoat or take the chance that some little bimbo will pull the “oops forgot my birth control and guess what” trick. He has been pretty adamant about not wanting kids and I don’t think he would take the chance.

  104. Lucy says:

    @Lucy (comment 107): may be…maybe not…

I am just glad EC does not want kids. She would be commiting a crime against humanity, which it would not fit with GC’s humanitarian role…
    ha!

ps: can EC please shut up forever?

  105. Moreaces says:

Good for her, there is nothing wrong with not wanting kids, I know I dont, and never did, I think I would have been a great Mom, just did not want to have them.

  106. original kate says:

“As a mom of 2 kids I feel sorry for her”

why would you feel sorry for her if that is her choice? is it just her or is it all childless women you feel sorry for? i don’t have kids and have never wanted them. most of my friends have kids and every one of them regularly complains about their kids: i’m exhausted all the time, we can’t afford a vacation, my son has ADHD and now i have to leave work early and take him to therapy once a week, we never go out because we can’t afford a sitter, i never have time to myself, my sex life is non-existant, i hate my stretch marks, etc. if anyone deserves sympathy it’s them, not me. i love not having kids and you won’t hear me complain about it.

  107. e says:

Doesn’t she know that being George’s girlfriend isn’t a permanent job? She is sleazy looking. I can’t wait to see his next girlfriend. Hopefully, she’ll be classier and perhaps cleaner looking.

  108. Aqua says:

It’s a knee jerk reaction to his saying he been there, done that,(marriage)so this is her way of responding to the no possibility to marriage question?I do believe her when she says no kids, fine that’s their choice.they probably discussed this issue after being together for almost two years or she knows their is positively no way if can happen. But according to popeater she is supposedly “shocked” and really to walk out if he doesn’t ask her to marry him soon lol.I hope she is happy to be the girlfriend of…which is probably one of the reasons why this relationship has lasted has long as it has.

  109. Lorenzo says:

Well, I think if there would have been any chance for her to get pregnant and have a baby with Clooney, she already would have been pregnant, for sure.
This is a thread about a person who pressured her ex-boyfriend telling the yellow press she was pregnant and she wasn’t, hahaha, poor man.
Maybe she should not take that much cocaine, then she could have a baby, too, who cares what Clooney wants, it is all about her.

  110. Michelle says:

George’s next girlfriend will be nice.

  111. Lucy says:

@Aqua: totally agree with you. The Italian Queen is here to stay! This was probably her next move to get him to change his mind and propose her…
@Michelle: don’t we all are rooting for the next one?! If he ever dumps her, the next one cannot be less “elegant” and less “graceful” than the Italian Queen…

  112. Michelle says:

    My feelings are hurt.

  113. Crash2GO2 says:

Her little dog seems to be wearing a jacket/leash combo, so I’m not too disturbed by her picking him up like that.

“I am happily married for 9 years with not children by choice. And we could no be happier. All my friends that are married with children are unhappy and bitter. Their married life has gone down the drain. Their husbands complaint about the nagging, lack of sex, and the unsatiable material desires of their kids.”

Having children is not automatically the end of a happy marriage, nor the end of a hot sex life! In fact, seeing your man be a father to your child can be an incredibly HOT experience. 😉

  114. Liana says:

I think having or not having kids is a very personal choice and there is no right or wrong to the decision. I am personally looking forward to having kids, when the time is right. But I have friends both with and without kids and would never judge the decisions others make with regard to having children.

  115. crtb says:

Pleeeez – What do you expect her to say? Just last week George said he had no entention of ever getting married again or having children. The only way she can save face is to agree with him. What else can she say? “My biological clock is ticking and I want to get married within the next year.

  116. Aqua says:

How does she expect to be taken as an actress in North America when she does crap like that?unless she doesn’t want to known as a serious actress.I know we have plenty of crappy actresses over here too.lol

  117. doris says:

It seems every time she opens her mouth, her foot gets stuck in it. If she was smart (and we all know she’s not), she would refrain from any mention of her make-believe boyfriend George.

  118. Frank says:

Did anybody see her giving a b job while playin’ lap dance on italian tv yesterday??

  119. Ashley says:

I would like to thank everyone who read my comment and I am sending my appologies to everyone who thought my comment was harsh, but I will not take my words back. I do have husband and kids and siblings. I am blessed to have them in my life and thank God for this everyday. My mom died last year in my brother’s, my husband’s and my arm. We where all holding each other when My mom passed away in the emergency room of a hospital. Whoever doesn’t have kids ( or don’t want them) simply doesn’t understand the presious gift of having a child. I know if I could not have a child I would have adopted one since there are so many kids who need nice loving parents. A dog is a dog people,,,,get real,,,dogs might be documented to miss their owners (I am sure they do ) but at the end of the story they are dogs stay dogs live a dog’s life and never in a 1000 years can be or will be your kids.
To that person who works with elderly, you must be an angel send down to earth from God and yes I agree with you a lot of kids are just waiting to take over the money their parents are going to leave for them not doubt about that.
I personally can’t except the fact that some people feed their dogs organic food when there are thousands of thousands of children and human beings hungry and homeless and shoeless…

  120. shay says:

Just because you chose not to have children does not mean it is okay to bash others in relationships with them. Not everyone who is married with kids is “bitter, sexless, blah blah..” In my opinion, people who chose not to have children are too selfish and therefore shouldn’t have them anyway. A dog is a damn dog and should not be regarded as a child. Who the heck can get maternal instincts satisfied with a canine? Really? Just don’t breastfeed it, you might lose a nip..
