How the mighty have fallen…..I remember when she was box office gold!

  2. Nicole says:

Oh please, would he be saying this if it hadn’t been HIM who looks bad?

  3. Syko says:

I have to agree with him to an extent. It IS hurtful to their son, and talking about it now is not going to change it. Time to move on.

But butt fat in your lips? Ew.

  4. Zoe says:

Now when she wants someone to kiss her ass, she can just do it herself. ๐Ÿ˜ฏ

  5. A says:

    @Zoe

That is the funniest thing I’ve ever read!!!
    Thank you!

  6. clare says:

Do the fat injections last for so many years, or do they ‘harvest’ more than necessary at the time to freeze for years to come so she can get injections whenever her lips ‘deflate?’ Fascinating!

I feel for her son hearing this about his father, but Meg was dragged through the mud for the one affair and I didn’t hear of Dennis stepping up to defend her. And, Meg didn’t talk about this until recently. Dennis is being a dick.
I hope she can rebuild her career.

  7. geronimo says:

๐Ÿ™„ This is not about his son, this is all about Dennis needing to have the last word.

Agree, Clare, Meg got all the fall-out when they broke up, at least she had a valid reason to put the record straight. He needs to shut up with his self-serving whining.

  8. Kaiser says:

I can’t believe I’m saying this, but Team Meg. She kept her mouth shut and took the blame for YEARS.

(Although I still love many, many Dennis Quaid films – still, in real life the guy’s probably a douche.)

And a 16-year-old kid knows what’s up with his parents – it’s not like Jack will be shocked to hear that his dad’s a recovering cokehead/alcoholic womanizer and his mother did the dirty with Crowe and got a bunch of plastic surgery. It’s not that shocking for a teenager. ๐Ÿ™„

  9. Ohforf says:

How does she have a valid reason to bring this crap up 8 years later? Is publicity a valid reason, since before her “revelation” nobody gave a toss about a has-been with fish lips? How is his responding to her claims “self serving whining” but her dragging up a private situation for her own gain not?

Seriously, I don’t care about either of them in any way. That makes it easier for me to see when someone else has a bias in one of their favors or another. You can love Meg all you want, but without bias, she just looks like she’s trying to use a painful and private situation from her past to grab headlines now to further her career.

    Tres trashy.

  10. Codzilla says:

Kaiser: I agree that their son has proabably known about all this crap for years, so this resurfacing of past issues isn’t likely to freak him out too much.

The butt fat thing is really grossing me out. Glad I ate breakfast a while ago. ๐Ÿ˜ณ

  11. jm says:

If I had to guess, reporters have probably asked her about this for years. She finally broke and said, “Yknow what? I’m tired of letting that cheating druggie be the saint while I get all the blame.”

Kudos to her for keeping her mouth shut for so long. I like Dennis Quaid the actor but, as a person, he does seem like an a**.

  12. Kaiser says:

@Codzilla – Yeah, Jack will be fine. Or whatever. I doubt this is the straw that broke the camel’s back.

I think they’re both whining, to a certain extent. But Meg *did* keep quiet (for the most part) for years.

  13. geronimo says:

Kaiser, at one time, I loved Dennis Quaid as much as you love those two people you love who move around a lot.

jm – that’s how I see it too.

  14. Kaiser says:

@Geronimo – I used to really like him… Postcards From the Edge is one of my favorite films. And surprise, he plays a womanizing druggie in it.

He’s no La Jolie, though. That girl makes me swoon. ๐Ÿ˜›

  15. MSat says:

Notice how he doesn’t deny anything.

  16. xxx says:

I agree, the fact he didn’t say anything about the adultry speaks volumes. He should have kept his mouth shut, now he sounds guilty.

  17. Hmm says:

He didn’t deny the infidelity, though, did he? Interesting…

  18. Orangejulius says:

Well, things certainly have moved along in the plastic surgery arena. I tried to get my doc to inject my butt fat into my non-existent boobs but he told me it couldn’t be done….

  19. Syko says:

Interesting, Orangejulius, I’ve been wanting to get boobfat injected into my flat butt, but it’s no go.

  20. kate says:

i cannot look at meg’s new face without cringing. she looks terrible.

  21. Zoe says:

    @A:Aww shucks. ๐Ÿ˜ณ

  22. anony says:

Zoe thanks for the laugh. That was hilarious. I *do* know that butt fat (or, er, fat from anywhere around there) will last longer and not be absorbed as quickly as say, restylane or juvederm (hello stuck in my derms’s office with a billion brochures. Queen of over booking..) but she looks goofy. I think that just never works b/c the features always look imbalanced. One is really big and the rest look so much smaller in comparison.
I saw her in ‘My mother’s boyfriend’ a movie with antonio banderas (who looks great and I always liked). It was awful. Meg doing her cutesy fun girl act and she is in her 40s. But poor Antonio- his wife Melanie Griffith is way worse surgery wise. Her lips are even bigger than Meg’s.

  23. Dee says:

Not to mention the film is about a cheating husband (s) so yeah….it rehashes memories, which makes it easier to “get into the part”. Yeah…stumping for the movie and making the analogy to real life….SO WHAT! Now, I wish she didn’t get caught under the whole plastic surgery craze.

  24. Bobby the K says:

I always get her and melanie griffith mixed up.
But really, anyone who would want russell crowes thingy inside them is a sick person.

  25. Amy says:

    Dennis Quaid to world:

“Geez, I broke the mother of my child’s heart over eight years ago! Lighten up and move on, people! I have a whole new family to f*ck up…” ๐Ÿ‘ฟ

  26. RAN says:

I can’t believe this whole crowd is jumping all over Dennis about this. He and Meg kept their chops shut for 8 years. EIGHT years! Why would she bring it up now?! Isn’t it a little more classy to say ‘I’d rather not discuss my past’?

At the very least, if he was cheating, none of us knew it publicly. Russell Crowe… you’d have to be in a deep, dark hole to have missed that whole thing. She was wrong to bring this up. I adored her before the whole Crowe thing and even got over it until now. This is completely trashy of her to rehash.

  27. aspen says:

Man, she REALLY shouldn’t have started messing with her face. She used to be so beautiful.

  28. Giz says:

If he’s managed moved on then why is he responding? Oh–wait, he must have a film due out soon.

  29. Jeanne says:

I really don’t think the majority of the public gives a monkey’s elbow about either one of them. C’mon they were never big A movie stars. They both look ridiculous.

  30. Giz says:

Thanks Jeanne! It’s been eight long years and I…I just couldn’t get over it. It’s like a huge burden has been lifted from my shoulder. (insert deep sigh here)

Now I can go on to obsess over whether to use paper or plastic.

  31. me says:

He wasn’t too concerned about Jacky-boy when he was screwing around on his momma in the first place was he?

Maybe Meg is just sick and tired of being painted as the home wrecker and wants to set the records straight a little.
