These are new photos from last night’s Chrysalis Butterfly Ball, a charity event that benefits the homeless and/or unemployed. In past years, the event has gotten good turnout, and last night’s was decent. I guess two of the biggest A-listers there were Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck, who refused to walk the red carpet together. I don’t even think Affleck walked the red carpet at all, because there is only one photo of him that I’ve seen, and he’s exiting the event. Can I just say something to Garner and Affleck? The jig is up. We know you’re together. You have two children together and you get pap’d all the time, often on a daily basis. You can walk a red carpet together, for the love of God. You are not Gwyneth and Chris Martin. Don’t try to be.
Anyway, I don’t know who did Jennifer’s dress, but it’s kind of cute. It looks kind of wrinkly and like she just threw it on, but at least it doesn’t age her by ten years, like so many of her “dress up” clothes do.
Next up: Balthazar and Rosetta Getty. As time goes on, I realize more and more why Balthy tried to get away from Rosetta for The Year of Sienna Miller. Rosetta just seems so crazy to me. Balthy is a mess too.
Speaking of messes, Vince Vaughn. Jesus, remember when he didn’t look so… unhealthy?
I don’t pretend to “get” Olivia Wilde, as a person, as an actress, or as a Fashion Girl. This dress is fug, and the hair is just… ugh. Bangs AND a ponytail? And yet… all together, Olivia doesn’t really look bad, I have to admit. She looks healthy and fresh, somehow.

It’s hard for me to look at Garner’s face up close…why is that?
I never got the “we don’t walk RC together” thing; with Ben/Jen or Gwenny/Chris.
Funny all the couples that make that grand statement seem to lack any chemistry together in photographs or they have all broken up.
I saw Ben at the TOL premier don’t know if Jennifer was there too. That picture of Ben reminds me of Chris Martin (in all his pictures)
but that could be just me thinking things.

Vince has always looked unhealthy. Looking average and sloppy is what he’s known for. I think Olivia’s hair looks fine and not traumatic. The dress would have looked so much better without the sleeves and shear back. It looks weird. It looks childish and matronly at the same time.

Jen dress is boring there is nothing special about it even her accessories are boring where’s the pop and don’t get me started on the fact that it’s WRINKLES, her hair and make- up are good.
I’m so over her and Ben not walking the red carpet together your married you have two kids and lets’ face it they get photograph more in their privet lives than at events so why try to hide that your together on the RC when the world knows your married; someone should tell them it’s ok to show their support for one another at events.

I think she is still ticked off about the “Lively” incident and how he really did not treat her (Garner) all that well during the Oscar campaign for The Town, though it did not work. She was there, but they seemed distant and he ignored her even when they were together. It was odd. Dimples (her smiled even seems forced) is still making him work for whatever it is they have as she will not let her “perfect, cute” family go just yet.
Jennifer looks so beautiful and sweet! I like her.
And oddly enough, I like Olivia Wilde too, here. The dress kinda looks good on her.
I know that Jennifer was successful & popular on a tv show a few years ago and appears to be a genuinely nice, grounded person; but, in all honesty, I don’t see an ounce of appeal or charisma in her–at least not on the big-screen level. I WANT to like her because she’s so darn sweet, but I can’t!

Jennifer looked cute and happy. They don’t walk together because they don’t want the publicity ,like some other couples who do everything together just for the publicity.Good for them!
I’ll take Olivia Wilde over Blake Lively any day. One, I think Olivia can act. She’s no Meryl Streep, but her acting doesn’t detract/distract from whatever she’s in, so I have no problem there. Two, though she seems to be getting with every hot single guy in Hollywood, she also seems to be hitting and quitting, which I can respect. She’s not a stage 5 clinger, trying to build a career on her back.

I’ve really been pulling for ben and jen to make it for the long haul, but I have a feeling that this marriage isn’t going to last much longer…wish his left hand wasn’t in his pocket, wondering if he is wearing his wedding ring…they don’t seem to have any chemistry…at least when brad and angie are together you feel like they are a unit and still hot for each other…ben and jen, not so much…
I can’t say anything bad about Vince since he’s left Jenn and got on w/his life, he lives in in Chgo-suburb and is raising his lil one w/his wife.
I ran into them at a steak house and he is the most doting and caring dad–from what I have seen and he was sooo friendly and funny. his mom is very nice too.

How does any woman, let alone an A-list (B-list) actress, wear a strapless black dress with NO earrings and NOTHING around her neck? It looks like she got dressed in the car on the way to the event. Even her makeup is very much a day look. I guess Rachel Zoe is too busy breastfeeding and changing diapers…LOLOLOLOL yeah right!

Olivia looks good, Garner looks ok, needs some earings or a necklace would have helped, the getty couple are meh. I use to think people were joking when they talked about Affleck wearing a wig, now not so much his hair doesn’t look real. I think Jen Garner would love it if Ben wanted to be a red carpet couple again, he didn’t mind being photographed with her before, spare me the crap excuse about privacy, it’s because ben doesn’t want to.
They dont walk the red carpet together because I remember a Katie Couric interview he did around the time of Jersey Girl (right after the JoLo implosion) where she basically called him a fame whore for showing up at all those premieres with JLo and shoving themselves on the public — remember everyone thought he and JLo were ick even though Brangelina gets a pass for fame whoring their relationship the same way….

I’ve noticed that he tends to get liquored up at many of his outings. Sometimes he makes a fool of himself. I think he’s really into rap music.

If that’s the reason Ben doesn’t want to walk the RC with his wife, than he needs to get over it grow a pair and stop caring what other people think and letting that dictate the way he lives his life because Jen doesn’t seem to have any problem walking RC or being seem with her man, she all smiles with her first husband and Ben on the red carpet.

My take: 1) Jennifer looks fresh and beautiful but she seems to get alot of hate or dislike out there that I don’t get, 2) Olivia, never understand the hoopla over her….don’t like the bangs either, 3) Vince, he didn’t always look that bad and it has looked like major bloat to me for a long while now, 4) Getty’s wife does give off a strange vibe.
