No confirming the news that she got a new tattoo, no pushing her new relationship with a guy who couldn’t be bothered to end his last one before he took up with her, no breathlessly reporting the details of her dates and outings. Only Aniston has one setting, and she’s playing it for all it’s worth. This latest report has her going on a double date with her bearded new man Justin Theroux, and her The Switch costar Jason Bateman and his wife. We even get to hear details of what they ate, drank and talked about. She’s just so fascinating.

The couple were spotted dining at New York’s Il Cantinori Saturday night with Aniston’s friend and Horrible Bosses costar Jason Bateman and his wife Amanda Anka.
Enjoying Grey Goose cocktails, Aniston, 42, started with an arugula salad and shared a pasta course with Theroux. Then it was chicken paillard for her and branzino for him.
At one point, Theroux showed Bateman his inked torso, which the waiter also complimented. Aniston herself is new to the world of tattoos, showing off her first during a walk in N.Y.C. Friday.
After sorbets, the couples headed out – hugging goodbye before Aniston and Theroux were seen strolling down 10th Street arm-in-arm.
Other fans of the downtown spot include Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes, Beyoncé, Katy Perry and Jennifer Jason Leigh.

That just made me really hungry for lunch. We get it, Aniston is happy and in love and she’s going on amazing outings with her incredible man and their dear friends. Sometimes I wonder if this kind of drivel actually works, and it must on some level. Like we’re all very jaded gossip consumers and we read and dissect this crap day in and day out. For the casual consumer, the person with mild interest who doesn’t follow it slavishly, they must just breeze over these reports and think “Oh, that’s really sweet. What a nice life that girl from Friends with the pretty hair must have. It’s a shame what happened to her, but she’s moved on so well.” That’s the point of these stories, right? There must be some people who think like that and don’t find it as transparent and predictable as we do.

I’m sick on tired of reading about these celebrity meals. The other day, not only did we get every detail of Brad and Angelina’s meal but they also listed the Brad and Jennifer’s menu from years previously….it’s got to a ridiculous level.
That said, I was interested in the tattoo, probably because I’m a massive animal lover and Norman looked like such a sweet dog.
I read a comment by someone saying that she and her PR guy are doing a slow roll to get the public ready. We heard nothing then BAM all of sudden there are stories of dates and such. He will be on the RC of Horrible Bosses. And these little stories are to get the public ready for the promotion which is kicking off. She will be everywhere this week and next. She will make cute and overt comments about her relationship. I just don’t understand why she is getting more exposure then Colin and Kevin or the lead actors in the film.
well here we go. Justjen are going to be everywhere. We are chatting about it here but I don’t see that much attention. Especially considering she is a A-lister (cough) and with the all “Will Jen find love” well she has I guess, but I still hear a lot of silence.

Any bets on the upcoming People cover or at least a major side-bar: Jen In Love at Last!!(well other than Mayer and Vaughn, who don’t seem to count, but who also got the same headline and loving treatment from People or at least her PR team) with other details on the romance and a major write up on Theoreux. Hopefully Pitt won’t be a part of the story, but I wouldn’t bet on that.
She does this to promote her movies to be fair. But she’s already so overexposed it’s overkill when she in full publicity mode. It had the opposite effect on me because I was thinking that Horrible Bosses might actually be good and I was debating watching it depending on reviews. Now I am so turned off that I am absolutely not interested.
@Ell I have to agree with you. Sick of the tabs reporting on meals. Especially since I doubt they are accurate. Someone on the JP fan sit actually dug up the photos of Brad and Jen’s long ago lunch you were talking about and they looked miserable LOL.
Some of these meal stories sound like they come from the restaurant, or the restaurant pays the stars’ publicists, or something. Great publicity.
Hmm, maybe it’s working because I actually want to see this movie and I haven’t seen anything with Aniston since Marley & Me.
I will say that only Jen and Angie get this much coverage, and are thus both way over-exposed. I don’t think there are that many celebs who are such tabloid fodder to rate an in-depth description of their every meal.

@mln76 I saw The Hangover 2 this weekend. Finally. They had a preview of Horrible Bosses. Now of all the Horrible Bosses of the movie they showed, Keven Spacey could have just been playing the person he played in Swimming with Sharks (he was way too serious)…Jen’s part was funny with the whole sexual harassing her assistant and she took some funny pictures(whats interesting about that though is that Jason says your boss doesn’t sound that bad and to most you would think…sweet I getting hit on by my hot boss…Charlie Day doesn’t think so LOL)…at this point it looks like an ok movie with the usual cliches but then Colin Farrell comes on screen and he is effing brilliant. He was a screen a second or 3 but he dropped two gems. I was LMFAO. I just love him. Colin can do drama, action, and comedy he is so flipping talented. I think he is gonna be the funniest part of that movie.
I personally read these Jen/Justin Theroux stories to see if this poor Jen fiasco will finally be ending with a permanent partner for Jen (as she has been saying she is serching for)

Jen, or I should say her publicist, always goes into overdrive with the PR for all her films. I don’t know why but I guess you have to get something for all the money you are paying for publicity. And it is not necessary, she gets lots of free press just by walking down the street. With another film coming out this fall, the one justjen met on, look for a continuous steam of publicist tidbits for months. Her publicist guy certainly earns his acknowledged huge paychecks, and People is getting like daily emails from him.
Sometimes though less is best you know, LOL.
Jason’t wife looks a lot like his sister, at least in this picture she does. That is a little strange, but they are a very attractive couple. I like that they are very well put together but also look down to earth and normal. I hope he is a faithful family man for real because that would amp up his sexy times 10.

Well, gotta hand it to her – she’s pulling out all the stops with her Lindsay Lohan level of crack-hustle. Her PR is working overtime to bury the fact that she went after a taken man and he cheated on his live-in girlfriend of 14 years to be with her. The least he could have done was break up with Heidi first, before being publicly displayed as JA’s new boyfriend. Anything to distract, such as suddenly now getting a tattoo of her (dead) dogs name, and his name is her favorite word. Believe it or not, the fact that you are writing stories on this, and others are commenting on this is why People (and other outlets) are carrying so much news on Jen. People even has writers watching twitter for sightings and then contacting the twitterers for details – has nothing to do with Jen’s publicist at all. That’s how people learned of her tattoo…her fans noticed it and tweeted about it and then People contacted her rep for confirmation to get their story. Her rep could have denied it, but that wouldn’t have killed the story at that point. Likewise, they had a writer contact people in the audience at Inside the Actor’s Studio for details there too – again nothing to do with her rep. And the double date dinner – a reporter actually tweeted that she had sat next to them, so that’s how they got that story.
People for some reason cannot get it through their heads that this woman has fans (and even haters who obsessively click and comment on her stories), and that’s why she’s constantly in the news.
Right. Her rep is always talking to the press about her. Yesterday, he made a statement to People about her tattoo, before that, he made a statement about her dog, and then, and he talked to three different sources about her dating Justin (Us Weekly, Celebuzz, and People magazine several times). So, he talks to the tabloids, feeding the tabloid rumors that always keep Aniston in the presses. Whenever there is a rumor, he always pops up with a comment (Aniston eating baby food, or whether she’s still friends with Courtney, etc). The exception is–he hasn’t talked about the
cheating rumors. hmm… why not that? Her PR even emailed Perez Hilton, trying to get him to change his mind about Aniston and be nice to her. Even Ted Casablance says he talks to Aniston’s PR on a regular basis. Basically, this guy talks to everyone in town. You almost never hear of other celeb publicists==but her PR?==all the time. There’s a pattern of behavior when it comes to her PR that a lot of people have noticed (CNN, Pajiba, Celebitchy, US Weekly among others).

No, I admire the publicists. They can make someone a much bigger star than they are. It’s like forget-acting and talent, let’s “hype and tabloid” your way to A-list stardom. I’ve always thought her publicist deserves more credit for her fame (and a reality show). Her PR goes above and beyond the call of duty. He’s a recognizable name himself–very few achieve this.
But, the hypocrisy of it all takes the cake.
Aniston complains about tabloids all the time–just google it and you’ll get 20 quotes of her complaining about how the tabloids are “ruining her life,” they’re “mother-f’ers,” etc. She called Bonnie Fuller, a tabloid writer, a “sick, evil person.” She called Vogue out for going “tabloid” when they printed her own quote. Then, she told Oprah “I don’t go there” She then told the press “to turn the page” on her divorce. Yet, last year, she name-dropped Brad herself in a People mag interview: “Jen; 5 Years After Brad.” She’s been using Brad for attention longer than she was married to him! 😉 You wonder how she can keep a straight face when she talks anymore–her BS is simply stupendous.

I’m not an Aniston fan. And regarding Justin you should check a few facts. A lot of the negative towards him is coming from the Aniston fans. As a JP fan I don’t care what he looks like. Many of her fans are the ones calling him ugly and not good enough for him. The question you should be asking is why are they not happy for her. Why are they not celebrating her relationship. There are still ANISTON fans that are wishing for her and Brad to get back together. Fans that are claiming she is faking this relationship to either send Brad a message or cover that she is cheating with Brad. Because that is what it would be if Brad is sneaking around with her behind Angelina’s back. And yes these are claims from her fans. Not the JP fans. But they don’t care as long as there is that reunion. Not making it up. I could show you a few comments that would make you go WTF.
So I hope this is a long long long long lasting relationship. Marriage, children living together whatever. I hope it works out. That way her fans will have something and leave the JPs alone

I’ve always had a crush on Jason Bateman ever since he was in the Hogan Family. Just watching some episodes again recently and it renewed my interest in him. He is soooo cute.
