I don’t know why Us Weekly is running what seems like a filler-article about Brangelina’s alleged upcoming wedding. This seems like more of an OK! Magazine or In Touch Weekly cover, but it seems like Us Weekly got “confirmations” that a wedding is in the works from three different sources (Empress Z, Shiloh and Pax? Or three gerbils?). I still think this has a whiff of BS, thought. Enjoy:
Get ready for a royal wedding of another sort: After six years together (and six kids!), Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are planning a wedding set to take place within the next few months, three separate sources confirm in the new Us Weekly, out Wednesday.
The “I do’s” could take place at their newly renovated Chateau Miraval in Correns, France (conveniently featuring a 16th-century chapel) — but don’t expect a lavish bash in the manner of Pitt’s $1 million nuptials in 2000 to Jennifer Aniston.
This super-couple’s wedding “would be intimate and informal,” one insider says of the pair.
“They are talking about getting married this summer,” a source close to the couple says. “They are seriously considering it, but they may just do something on the fly, without any notice.”
Another source confirms the details, saying, “They’re planning on to do it in September.”
“Marrying at home will show the kids their mom and dad are committed to each other for the long term,” yet another friend of the couple says.
Although Jolie, 36, and Pitt, 47, have long resisted traditional marriage until it became legal for everyone — gay or straight — their kids may have changed their mind.
“The kids ask about marriage,” Pitt told USA Today in May of Maddox, 9, Pax, 7, Zahara, 6, Shiloh, 5, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 3. “It’s meaning more and more to them.”

My opinion is still that Angelina isn’t opposed to getting married, and that Brad is the holdout. Just last week, he issued a statement to People Magazine, reiterating his stance on gay marriage and making it sound like he wouldn’t marry until the gays could, in every state. Maybe that was just a deflection for the ZOMG WEDDING. Maybe we’ll get to see photos of Empress Z as a flower girl?!!? Don’t get my hopes up, Brange.

Wish this couple the best! They have real love. You can see it in the way they look at each other, even though Brad’s slicked back hair and gray goatee makes him look like a mess. Hehe. He doesn’t care, and neither does she. And that’s as it should be!

really since when do Brad/Angie’s circle talk. And Brad is filming until October. Angie has nothing in front of camera so why are they putting them on yet another cover. They are pretty much out of sight. Yet the rags can’t let a week go.
I’m a fan.. loonie if you will.. and don’t buy the rags and don’t buy their BS stories even if positive. Most of the fans are the some. ONE week they are breaking up cheating, having another baby or getting married. They must have these stories written on a calendar.
Can they find other celebrities to talk about. I only read the legit interviews. I guess the non fans are buying this crap.
His statement in People was not a backtrack. Just him saying it was good that some States are allowing marriage, but everyone should be able to. Angie in her interviews seems to not care one way or another.

Marriage is fine and all, but they’re perfect the way they are. I think that they have a union made of love which is more important.
Sometimes Brad does seem aggravated by the media focus, but Angie seems not to mind. That could be a bone of contention for them in their relationship.
(Please don’t kill me Brangie fans… does prayer and other symbolic protection gestures)
I think they make a great couple and if/when they get married, I am sure it will be on their own terms (which is how they seem to manage their relationship).
Now an aside… as an objective observer in the ongoing AJ / JA posts on CB… in fairness, shouldn’t this post imply that AJ/BP’s camp perhaps put this out there to steal some thunder from all the “in love” press about JA lately? It just seems that when JA has news that coincides with existing AJ/BP news, the implication is that JA puts it out there to deflect from AJ/BP.
Please no one attack me. I don’t have any strong feelings about either of these women. I know JA has a PR machine in Huvane, but have also read that AJ is a control freak about her/BP image. So, it’s just an honest question.

It wasn’t that long ago that star had her on the cover talking about her being on drugs or something like that and in touch goes in on her weekly lol. Brad on the other hand is always mr perfect.
These tabloid and their BS sources have been saying the same thing for 6 and a half years, my take is that they run these BS getting married once or twice a year in hopes that one day it will be true and they can say they had the first scoop.
I don’t get the “we won’t get married until everyone in the world can get married” stance. I understand he is supporting gays’ rights to marry, but really? I doubt his refusal to marry is going to change the minds of anyone, nor is it really bringing focus to the issue. Dalai Lama on a hunger strike he is not.
I never see these two marrying, let alone lasting another two years.

I think they are already married and have been for a couple of years, at least sometime before the twins birth. My suspensions are they had a cermony in Cambodia or Africa with Mindy Cohen and James (whatever Angelina’s brother last name is) and all of their children in attendance. Any “wedding” they have now will really just be a celebration of the marriage that they have been in for a while.

I think one has to be skeptical of all the tabloids. But anything that gets those boring Brits off of the covers makes me happy! If any of this is true, I think it’s kind of sad that kids would have to ask their parents to please get married. That said, I don’t believe any of it.

Angie loves brad and he is smitten with her, so sweet, i guess in their minds, they are already married in every sense of the word. children included, Jolie/Pitt is like Jen who? they have never, ever mentioned her, she has always spoke about brad,kids, her pr and her, recently. also this couple is not raining on others parade, as stated before, they have no pr team, only rags vendetta against them, the other fame seeking, man jumping desperate to be an actress team releases stories (fake) to steal the jolie’s thunder, but the couple is too powerful a part more so together, it never works. it does not stop huvane/ja from trying.
I think I have better luck winning the Lotto than seeing these two marry.
Toe- that picture was taken at the Toronto Film Festival in 2007. Brad’s movie The Assassination of Jesse James by The Coward Robert Ford was being shown. After those pictures were taken, fans swarmed their car & a lady was trying to get them to bless? kiss? her baby- CRAZY video- must have been scary for them
I prefer these sweet made up stories with non-photoshopped photos to the crazy eyed photos they use when they make-up the druggy stories. Who knows if they are already married or will get married, but I doubt we will know until after the fact. These “sources” don’t even seem to know where they are from moment to moment, (one day Malta, the next Cancun, now England), so I doubt they have knowledge of anything like this. But still cute.
I guess the tabloids will be on to Kate Middleton’s “anorexia” now and leave Jolie alone, at least for this week.

And yes Ladybert62 FFer, Angelina and Brad do deserve each other. They are both decent, faithful moral people who deserve and have earned all the happiness in the world. Karma, is on THEIR side. And always has been.
I’m not an Angelina fan, nor do I dislike her. I’m just Meh about her in general. But I do notice that she gets more beautiful with age. She is clearly a stunning woman.
I don’t know why people(tabs, haters) are desperate for Brad and Angelina to marry. There are so many unmarried parents yet nobody say they have to get married for their kids’ sake. I don’t see why Brad and Angelina are a special case.
@mia girl: I never understood the comments that Angelina loves her image and will do anything not to look bad. If that was true she would have broken- up or married Brad years ago, given up show business, never leave Los Angeles, dress Shiloh only in pink dresses. Very rarely Brad and Angelina announces something after Jennifer does something but it seems likes Jennifer does all of the time. It seems odd Norman was deceased for a couple of months but news breaks the same day TOL opens Cannes. Angelina release a UN psa and hours later Jennifer releases a new ad.
Angie love Brad Pitt , maybe a little too much! But putting all things aside this is one wedding I have to see, just have to. I hope they will include the public in some way.
Since this boring story has been repeatedly recycled for years, I wish they’d let it rest. Sure when they were a new couple it might have been interesting, maybe even after the first few years, maybe while they were still relatively youngish (not saying they’re seniors but they are not that young either)… maybe this story would be a little bit interesting. 6 kids and 6+ years later, it’s not interesting anymore. If they ever decide to get married, why should it be a big deal. They’ve been together for how long and have how many kids? They already represent an old “married couple” without the marriage certificate.

I think Brad and Angelina made a pledge they would not get married until it was legal in all the states of the USA for same-gender couples to get married. That was a big statement a couple years ago when Prop 8 fell through. I can’t see them changing their mind now even if same-gender marriage is legal in a couple of states.
I agree with all those who said Brad is far more image conscious than Angie. He is after all the self-proclaimed media Zen master. I believe a lot of their media forays are instigated by him, but she gets all the blame. I think when Angie is in a relationship, she cedes a lot of control to her partner, which is not always in her best interest. Brad had a publicist when they got together and did not let her go until 2008. Their media strategy has benefited him way more than it has Angie.
I wish she wouldn’t follow his lead in some things. I would like her be more accessible like she used to be. I miss seeing her on the late night talk shows when she is promoting her projects. She is funny, engaging and very articulate. I kinda feel that due to the relentless media attacks in the past 6 years, Angie has resorted to living in a bubble to protect herself from all the vitriol and malice spewed at her.
I was watching all the appearances she’s made on The Daily Show over the years today, and she is soooo adorable. She needs to get out there again and show the public that she is not this aloof, unfeeling ice queen as has been portrayed.

Trust me Jennifer Aniston follows AJ every move like a hawk. It just isn’t possible for someone to know exactly when AJ is going to do something and then counter-promote at the same time. That takes a lot of planning and conspiring behind the scenes.

But all the Jolie-Pitts had to do in order to ruin Kardashian marriage media coverage was simply having a small fight in public (or even in private). A 5-minute brawl over one of their kids’s outfits/toys and Kardashian’s marriage coverage by the media would be almost nonexistent. No. Scratch that. They don’t even have to fight for real — all that’s needed is a good fanfiction writer from the tabloids to make up a story about a fight between them and voilà!
I’d love for brad and angelina to get married even though I think marriage is overrated. They have been together six years they seem to be doing something to make it work.
