Guy Ritchie told Madonna she’s “old, fat, ugly, wrinkled”

Boy Madonna’s “let’s slam the crap out of Guy Ritchie” PR machine is really working overtime. Apparently they couldn’t handle Madge getting anything less than goddess-level worshipping in the press, so they’ve started a full-fledged campaign to smear Guy as badly as possible. The problem is that though Ritchie has certainly said a few negative things about Madonna, they were utterly believable. Like the comment about how being with Madge was like “cuddling up with a piece of gristle.” That’s the most hysterically accurate thing I’ve ever heard said about Madonna.

But her camp is saying that Ritchie has said truly horrible things to her and her children, and was using her the whole time.

Madonna and Guy Ritchie’s marriage was plagued by physical and emotional abuse in recent years, friends of the couple reveal in the latest issue of Us Weekly, on newsstands now.

“She would taunt Guy, saying, ‘I should have married someone like me: strong, hot-blooded, intelligent, ambitious, spiritual,'” reveals a Ritchie source. “Their fights would often get heated. A few times Madonna slapped him or poked him.”

His reaction? “Guy called her old, fat, ugly and wrinkled and said that she was stupid and couldn’t sing,” another Madonna pal tells Us.

Meanwhile, a source tells Us Ritchie has already entered a relationship with British actress Kelly Reilly, who is starring in his upcoming drama Sherlock Holmes.

On Oct. 18 – three days after he announced he and Madonna were divorcing – he sent his driver back to his $12 million home in London’s Marylebone district “very last-minute” to pack an overnight bag for a stay at a nearby Chatham hotel — where Reilly is residing.

[From Us Weekly]

Obviously no one’s going to get out of this divorce with their dignity intact. Heaven forbid anyone consider the feelings of the three children involved in all this, and that it might not make them feel great to read such things about their parents.

People say a lot of things they don’t mean when they fight – and even worse is when they say things they do mean. Regardless of the intent, it’s plain these two should have split up a long time ago. They haven’t don’t their family any favors by exposing them to this kind of despicable behavior.

I think people generally do say what they mean–even if they don’t mean those exact words are true, they choose them because they know how hurtful those words are to their target. “Old, fat, ugly, and wrinkled” are things that I suspect are particularly threatening to Madonna. So even if he doesn’t think she is those things, he knows that saying them is hurtful to her.

Assuming he actually said them, of course, and how would we really know?

  2. Ter says:

That was probably right after Madonna told Guy that he can’t make a decent movie anymore and she makes more money than him and he better not expect sex for eighteen months, she is too busy chasing her youth and adopting(buying) children for nannies to take care of.

  3. reasonstobecheerfulpart2 says:

Whenever I see pictures of Madonna with her cap on, she reminds me of a blond Michael Jackson. Anybody else having these thoughts, or am I just being weird 🙄

  4. mel says:

I dont understand why all of a sudden it comes down to name calling…. I mean if they were separated already why exchange words now… and insult the children if indeed he did say anything mean about the kids would be abusive.

  5. geronimo says:

@KateNonymo – I think you’ve described very accurately the context in which he might have said those things.

  6. Syko says:

I don’t want to go off topic here, but is the bald guy helping Madonna get her kidnap victi… er, son… into the car any relation to the Maddens of Good Charlotte fame? Same twist to the mouth. Hmmm.

  7. DarthVadersLoveChild says:

He is a director so he has an eye for these things.

  8. Kaiser says:

    FAT?

Okay, Madonna. If you were a poker player, that was your “tell” – no one, NO ONE, would call Madonna fat. 👿

  9. Christina says:

it’s funny how everyone makes excused for ritchie but not for madonna… what gives?

  10. Syko says:

What gives, Christina, is that nobody really likes Madonna all that much.

Guy isn’t the one standing on a stage making derogatory comments.

  11. ER says:

I think everybody liked her better in her Like a Virgin, Material Girl days!

  12. devilgirl says:

She is old, ugly and wrinkled. He forgot to say untalented.

  13. kate says:

well, she’s not fat. the rest of it, yeah i have to agree with him.

  14. Codzilla says:

kate: I was going to say that he got three out of four correct, but you beat me to it. 😆

  15. Christina says:

and why is it we don’t like madonna? is it cuz she spilled wine on our carpet at a party and didn’t bother to apologize? or is it cuz she sent us daily updates on her marriage and we know exactly where each person stands…

the truth of it is, i’ve heard nasty things being said from both camps… there’s probably a lot of hurt emmotions here and neither of them seem to be handling it all that well.. but hey, we’re only human… we don’t ALWAYS handle everything impeccably well…

anyway, i’m not saying i love madonna or anything… i don’t really know much about her… but all the animosity toward her surprises me… ❓

If the old leather shoe fits…..

  17. kate says:

@ christina; “we’re” wondering what you’re on about in this post?

  18. Orangejulius says:

Well, he certainly knew which buttons to push!

  19. gg says:

I pretty much figured this was going to be a short relationship. Very surprised it lasted as long as it has, actually. Looking at the two of them, body language, etc., seems like he’s way too nice for a tough old broad like Mads.

  20. snappyfish says:

he is spot on except, of course, the fat part.

    bully for him.

  21. vdantev says:

I agree with all but the word fat. but I’m sure Madge spent an extra 6 hours in the gym after hearing the word. How she dodges those “anorexia” cover stories in the tabs, I’ll never know.

  22. Ana' says says:

I’m sorry but this sounds like total bull to me. 1st madonna’s sources gave an exclusive to PerezHilton, of all people, painting Guy as a golddigger now Ritchie was verbally abusive. Sorry but the victim costume just doesn’t wear well on Madge. There’s her side, his side, and the truth and unfortunately, we’ll probably never know the truth. I kind of got the feeling that this was a union of 2 users.

  23. JaundiceMachine says:

If he really wanted to go for the jugular, he would have called her a “washed-up has-been”. I think Madge’s camp is circulating a little fiction to garner sympathy for her divorce.

Not that I think Guy is above slighting Madge’s vanity, I just see Madge’s own creepy criticisms of herself reflected in that statement – moreso than her husband’s supposed vindictiveness. And Madge is nothing if not self-involved.

  24. Lisa says:

This whole divorce he said/she said stuff is getting stupid. She is everything but fat. I’m sure their kids will appreciate reading all this crap when they are older.

  25. hello says:

Even if he did say it, he’s not a liar (excluding the fat part…he should have said corpse.).

  26. aspen says:

If you wanted to hurt the feelings of an egotistical-nay-narcissistic celebrity like Madonna, the best way to accomplish that would be to have someone to whom she is vulnerable call her old, wrinkled, fat, and unattractive. I can well believe he said it.

And I agree with one of the previous posters who said that people mean what they say. I completely agree.

People always say exactly what they meant to say. Even if they don’t “believe” what they’re saying…there is a reason for the particular cruelty they choose.

Saying, “I didn’t mean it,” is pretty universally a lie.

  27. Kelly says:

Great were getting another Charlie Sheen Denise Richards divorce battle! just what the world needs

  28. Jeanne says:

I just can’t believe how Guy lasted so many years with her. And I what I don’t get is why Madonna thinks it’s so important to get the public on her side by revealing petty details from their association. What is she 4 years old? She should have let the poor guy suck down some steaks once in a while.

  29. I call bull says:

I call bull on Christina. If you’re on a celebrity blog, you are into celeb culture (no one comes here by accident). Anyone into celeb culture knows everything there is to know about Madonna. Why? Because she’s made g*dmn sure of it her whole career. There isn’t a pubic hair she hasn’t publicized over the years! The woman knows how to jump on trends to stay relevant, and how to keep her name in the tabs and in the news. The End.

PS. We also know that she is a raging bitch who uses people and discards them. She has also been known to scream abuse at coworkers and employees.

  30. spoonman says:

She is old, fat, and wrinkled and can’t sing unless her voice is overdubbed and made up in the studio.

    So What’s new???

She has always been a nut and now her idea of having a baby with A-rod is her aging attempt to recapture her youth-Not going to happen

BTW-Drop the weak ass English accent-your a new yorker and American. Start acting like one!!!

  31. TM says:

Okay open season…. I actually like Madonna, ok maybe not the person per say but the concept of Madonna. She has risen and use what little talent and a so-so singing voive to be the most successful ‘Brand name’ in terms of entertainer/singer out there. hate her if you will but she deserve the admiration and acknowledgement for the woman who has achieved that. Ehh… she certainly overshare sometimes I admit and we get to know every… what was that…. err..every ‘pubic hair’ printed…lol…, but thats who she is, and this is what her business demands to be that succesful. I can look over that and if I really don’t want to see or read about the pubic hair…I press skip…It’s a free country!!

What has Guy done to deserve all this sympathy… I don’t see it. Divorce is difficult all around and i really don’t see Guy as a victim here. He was married to Madonna for god’s sake!! She made him relevant for many years. You think we would give him two hoots if he was not married to her. There are so many more talented directors, and good looking people in the industry. sheeeshhh…..

  32. Trashaddict says:

Got to admit the woman is dressing pretty ugly these days. Off stage. On stage, she’s dressing like I don’t know what. It’s a problem when you’re 50 these days. Women (me included) don’t know what they are anymore. They don’t feel like grandmothers, but they can’t dress like 20 any more. It’s a really hard age, even if she is a narcissistic anorexic nutjob with an ego the size of New York.

  33. Miriam says:

Hate to get into the fray, but, she’s NOT a New Yorker. Hasn’t she live in LA longer than NYC?

  34. Larissa says:

she begun her career in NYC but to me she will always be from Rochester Hills, Michigan! lol

  35. Lauri says:

    Fat? No, not at all.

Ugly, old and wrinkled? Of course. And getting worse daily.

  36. Jackie says:

Old, depends on if you are 20 or 80, fat, definitely not, ugly, her severe weight loss is making her ugly, and wrinkled, I’m sure she probably has invested in Botox. My gripe with her is that I loved her way back in the day… Like a Virgin days and she’s trying to act like that wasn’t over 20 years ago. She makes me think of Sally O’Malley. I’m 50!! Ok great, so you are. Just lay off running around half naked on your tour. I always say, just because you can, doesn’t mean you should.

  37. BB says:

“A few times Madonna slapped him or poked him”
Why is noone talking about this? Allegations of domestic abuse don’t count as a smear on her character? No fan of Madonna, but Guy clearly has his own PR machine whirring out slurs to spatter her with as good as he gets. Difference is he’s doing it with subtlety and grace – and anonymity. He seems a better parent than her, but don’t canonize him yet.

  38. Lynn09 says:

Well, people who can agree with what Guy said ae just jalous. Madonna is beautiful, whatever age she is and definitely not fat, even too skinny from exercising, so many bullying on this site, I will never came back on it.

  39. Caroline says:

Why were they together? He was hot and she was rich. It lasted more than expected

  40. british bitch says:

This pair of dickwads were meant for each other. One fuckwit cancelling the other one out.

  41. shes definitely not in need of ant fat loss.. people need to remember do things realistically for their lifestyle.. like fat loss shocker. She works out like crazy as well!

Its better to think about what works for you and then do the right fat loss diet etc. try to make it work with the foods you like to eat, how much time you can exercise etc… 😀

  42. This whole thing about them is getting stupid. I don’t understand the fascination about celebrities and why we follow every word that they say. Who cares? We have our own problems to worry about. Just my 2 cents.

  43. leaveMadonnaAlone! says:

I don’t understand the ragging on Madonna because she’s not 20 anymore. So? We all get older – if we’re lucky. And I don’t think she needs to cover up everything just because she’s 50 either. If she’s on stage and you still got it, flaunt it. Trust me, there’s plenty of younger people who need to cover the f* up themselves. As for her relationship with Ritchie I’m sure they got together in the first place because, I don’t know, maybe they loved each other. Relationships go wrong sometime. None of my business. At least now they’re free to move on to someone else who will truly love them.

  44. Couple fights especially between celebrities are always good fodder for news. It makes us feel less envious of their lifestyles and brings our mental images of them down to more earthly levels, and in the end we say, hey, they are just like any ordinary couple, bitching away at each other.
