Has Britney Spears finally ditched the busted weave & gone back to her real hair?

fp_7885707_big_britney_spears_00_07

This is just a quick little story because I was absolutely stunned to see these close-ups of Britney Spears in London today. She was walking into a radio interview, and she caused something of a mob scene. But that’s not the shocking thing. Take a close look at Britney’s hair… look… look closely.

THAT’S HER REAL HAIR.

It’s not a wig. It’s not a wiglet. It’s not a busted weave. It’s not some trashy-looking extensions. It’s not some budget-riveted situation. I believe with all of my heart that we are looking at Britney’s real hair.

HALLELUJAH!

It was just last year when Britney’s hair situation looked like it would never get better. Remember this horrible situation? For months, Britney was getting pap’d with descending levels of awful, busted hair tragedies. One year later, and she’s finally taken control of her hair situation? Can it be? Or did she just find a really good hairstylist?

Just a few more Brit-Brit items: she’s releasing “The Remixes: Volume 2” in October. And she and Jason Trawick are not engaged. Yet.

my girl looks beautiful!!!! God bless her!!!

  2. JaneWonderfalls says:

In Hollywood how can you tell who has weave or don’t they make hair look really natural now, so maybe she is wearing better natural looking weave instead of busted ones.

  3. the original bellaluna says:

I don’t think it’s ALL her hair, as her hair was tragically damaged from said repeatedly atrocious weaves, and I doubt her hair grows an inch a month, like mine.

However, it is such an amazing improvement and I think she looks GREAT!

No more “dead eyes.” And she’s SMILING. It’s such a relief to see her looking happy. Good on ya, girl; keep it up!

  4. The Truth Fairy says:

    She looks great!!!!

  5. Ramona Q says:

Her hair is very long in these pics – maybe it’s a ponytail add-on piece thing? Well, I’m happy to see she is doing so very well.

  6. MellaYellow says:

No it just looks like a better weave. Its pretty

  7. Andrea says:

Her real hair should be grown out by now to about that length.

  8. Praise St. Angie! says:

oh, she looks pretty…and HAPPY!…this is one messed up celeb that I was really rooting for, poor thing.

I wasn’t ever a fan, but seeing her public breakdown made me want to root for her. I hope she just keeps getting better.

  9. rose80 says:

Look at the very top of the ponytail. See where there is a bunch of hair poking/sticking out…that’s her hair. Nothing to get exicited about.

  10. Lacey says:

Awww… she looks great! Happy and with lovely hair. Go Brit!

  11. skilo says:

I think it looks very natural, and clean! She looks so much happier and healthier! I hope she’s truly healing and finding her way out of the dark place she’s been in for a long time now. Depression and mental illness are so much worse than you can imagine if you haven’t experienced it.

  12. Diane says:

    She looks fantastic!

  13. sandy#1 says:

happy she is doing better, and yes, her hair looks good.

  14. Amanda G says:

…and it’s still busted. Nice to see her smiling though.

  15. Samigirl says:

Aww, I LOVE Brit Brit, and she looks great. The outfit isn’t fantastic, but it’s not trashy. Her body/hair/makeup look amazing! Good for her, pulling herself together. It was a loooong ride from the crazy train, and she appears to be doing so much better 🙂 <3 her, and happy to see how well she is doing!

  16. PeekaBooICU says:

I’ve never been a big Britney fan but am thrilled to see her looking happy and healthy. She came a long way in my eyes when she acknowledged and thanked her father for everything he did.

  17. Mimi says:

Saw her here in Denham Springs, LA like 6 or 7 months ago. She looked really happy and very naturally pretty. Random fact: My son went on a hayride with Britney’s sons a couple years ago. It was just them, Britney’s dad and a nanny. Those boys are ADORABLE.

  18. Julie says:

Her skin looks great and her eyes vibrant again. Haven’t seen in a long time.

  19. tmbg says:

If she wrote a book about what she did to get back on track, I’d buy it. She’s done a complete 180 and that is hard to do when you have depression or other mental illnesses.

She looks so much healthier now too.

  20. sharylmj says:

YEAH!!!!! she looks so happy and healthy here!!! GOOD WORK GIRL!!! keep it up … I want you to feel good and be happy so badly… 🙂

  21. Anon73 says:

Britney looks great !! love that she looks so cute and happy. welcome back girl !! 🙂

  22. DetRiotgirl says:

GOOD FOR HER! I have so much sympathy for Britney. Ever since the days of the pink wig of doom, I simply can’t snark on her. I genuinely think she’s got mental health issues, and I really just want to see her healthy and happy at this point. She looks so much better than usual here! Yay!

  23. AlaskaJoey says:

That shirt is tragic, if it didn’t have the blue things I’d like it. But I agree with all, this is the best she’s looked in a while.

  24. whitedaisy says:

Still extensions/weave, but it is good to see her smile.

  25. Wresa says:

I almost hate to admit this, but seeing her look great, and happy, actually brightened my day. Aaaand I need to stop living vicariously through celebs… 🙂

  26. 4Real says:

    Well it’s a start…

  27. Rhiley says:

I heart Brit Brit and hope that she continues to grow, mature, and gain real self confidence. She has been through hell, but it really seems her life is moving in a positive direction. It would be cool if she found a really decent guy whom she could really love and trust and who would marry her and help her to continue on a positive path.

  28. xxodettexx says:

wow, i love her hair in this, i want to do my hair like this for work! [sometimes a plain ponytail is boring but this is cute]

  29. anne_000 says:

Everytime I see Britney doing well, I’m reminded how good a father her dad is.

  30. Lady D says:

‘Kay it’s a little ridiculous how happy I feel seeing her look happy. It has been so long.

  31. Ronnie says:

This is a really good weave if it is….. Hmmm. I want to hope that the majority of it is hers, enough to make a pony tail, the actual pony tail might be a good clip on.. She should just work her short hair if that is hers…

  32. Lauren says:

Brit is amazing..recovered from a breakdown, shaving her head, and still supporting KFed, her boys, her family. Brit is a warrior, and a careerwoman with an electronic voice. Still admire her. She has never dissed KFed, or anyone. BS is a feisty hillbilly.

  33. birdie says:

wow her hair looks great! these photos are amazing

  34. Tiffany says:

I think her weave is just more hidden, but it is still there. Much better than before though.

I don’t get the posts about her being a brave “warrior”. She has her manager, producers, “back up” singers, and dancers do 90% of the work for her. Her cd seemed like it had barely any input from her, and on most of the songs other singers take the lead when she isn’t being drowned out by autotune. There is proof that she has used body doubles in her videos. Yes, it is great that she isn’t endangering herself, but she is where she is because she has an entire team of people doing most of the heavy lifting for her.

  35. thinkaboutit says:

It’s still a weave but her own hair is longer and fuller so it’s easier to integrate it. See all those lighter pieces “sprouting” in the back in the side-view pics, and there’s on up front in the second pic from the top…those are extensions, but no biggie, EVERYONE in show biz has ’em. She looks good, I’m happy to see her in a good place.

  36. Skinnybetch says:

Can you imagine where Brit would be if her manager & dad hadn’t stepped in to help her? I’m glad she ditched the cheap weave, found herself a good man, and is back on top of the music game! Team Brit Brit!

  37. becky says:

    @mimi
what? tell us everything! come on! what was she wearing? how is the hair in person? did she look good? did she sound good? were there cheetos involved??????

  38. beclove says:

Girl looks great. Good for her.

  39. Camille says:

Her hairline sure has moved back some hasn’t it. That is one giant forehead.

  40. Seal Team 6 says:

Kudos to her and her parents, especially her dad.

  41. HannahF says:

It’s great to see life in Britney’s eyes again. @Tiffany, I beg to differ with your warrior opinion. Britney is not a warrior because of her career success or lack thereof. But rather she is a warrior because she fought back to the land of the living.

Most people suspect that she is bipolar, a malady which I suffer from as well. I come from a very well to do family and have the best doctors in the country. I have also fought back from the brink. While I had expert assistance, the fight was ALL MINE!! While money and assistance are well and good, the will to live can only come from within.

  42. Tiffany says:

“Most people suspect that she is bipolar”

I think that is possible, but it is more likely that her condition was caused by severe drug abuse. The public knows very little, but the judge called her “a habitual abuser of drugs”. It also explains the head shaving, as drugs can be detected in a person’s hair. Drug abuse is a challenge to get over, of course, but I think the public has assumed quite a bit about her medical state without knowing many facts. To this day, her dancers and staff are contracted to not use or bring drugs or alcohol to sets/on tour, and they get tested (testing is very unusual). If she was simply bipolar, this would not be necessary. At this point, all you or I can do is speculate.

  43. Ben says:

I think she looks great too!

  44. smh says:

i can’t tell real hair from wigs apart most of the time but this looks better than usual i guess

  45. carrie says:

    she looks so good!

  46. jane16 says:

Her hair is very thin, so I think she still has some fake stuff in there, but its brushed and styled. She does look good here, healthy.

  47. Glitsha says:

Still a weave. But an improvement.

  48. RobN says:

Maybe this is what LL could look like if her parents didn’t suck. Kudos to her family for getting her actual help and not spending their days enabling her.

  49. Jayna says:

She looked happy and energetic on tour. Her family was there.

  50. blinditemreader says:

She looks really good. I think we’re all rooting for her health and happiness.

  51. Cinderella says:

She’s got a lot more of her own hair in there. Good on her!

  52. It is ME!! says:

@Tiffany: Her team has ALWAYS done 90% of the work for her. She is just a face and body to market a product. I totally agree with you on that.

That being said, and again I am no Britney fan, whether she had drug abuse problems or a mental illness, you have to give her credit for getting better. Especially if it is true that she was a drug abuser: she had to want to stop that; no one else could do it for her. She looks great and happy, and isn’t two steps away from Death’s door (unlike Linnocent).

I just wish more people suffering from mental illness or drug or alcohol addiction got the support Britney did.

  53. duncecap says:

    VAST IMPROVEMENT.
I am sad that her hair looks thin for her age. It’s better than it was, certainly. But weaves CAN cause hair-loss. Especially when they’re not looked after, or relied on too much.

I hope its not permanent. For the love of god, I wish starlets would stop using them altogether! Just stop!

  54. beanie says:

The ponytail portion is obviously a weave, but at least it is clean and her hair looks somewhat neat. She should stop with the bleach and the weaves and perhaps her hair will grow back decently.

  55. Jenn says:

Britney gives off a good vibe, which is why people always like her and end up rooting for her. I haven’t always agreed with things she’s done, but I believe it took her years to get over Justin and she finally is getting there. Good for her. Wish she was still the performer she used to be, but it’s better to see her looking happy again. God bless her.

  56. marybeth18 says:

She looks really, really good here. Flattering, appropriate outfit with all of the necessary undergarments seemingly in place. Bright, clear eyes and healthy looking, washed hair.

Britney, even at her absolute lowest, always seemed like a sweet, lost young woman. Count me among those who root for her to be healthy and happy.

  57. kibbles says:

This is the happiest she’s looked in a long time. I knew that Britney truly was on the road to recovery when she thanked her dad for stepping in and saving her life. She seems genuinely grateful that someone helped her get her life back on track because she was so close to becoming another Lindsay Lohan or Amy Winehouse who unfortunately do/did not receive that kind of intervention from their parents. Britney will never be the same person she was 10 years ago but I like that she has appeared to mature somewhat and is acting more like a responsible adult and parent.

  58. michelle says:

@ tiffany – my brother is bipolar and i asked his doctor where did this come from and he told me that one of the factors is severe drug abuse

  59. Lolita says:

She looks absolutely wonderful! So happy to see her happy*/

  60. Jeni says:

I think she’s still wearing hair extensions because her real hair is really thing, but she looks a million times better than she had been looking lately!

  61. gee says:

She looks amazing and HAPPY. I’m happy for her!

  62. Darcy says:

    @Tiffany

Much of your assumptions about Britney’s contribution on her album is very much the same as what we would know about her personal life.

You know nothing more about the behind the scenes work on her music career, than you do about her her mental issues.

Britney’s producers have ALL come forward and discussed that she really is a giant force in her involvement in the music process. Stop believing Perez Hilton, and everyything else you read.

  63. duncecap says:

This blog about Lindsay’s hair loss made me fee much better for Brit.
    http://thedailyglam.com/lindsay-lohan-hair/1264/
OH MY GOD, the pic near the bottom. HOW DOES THAT HAPPEN? Okay, we know the answer. Crack, too many weaves, booze, too many late nights, etc. etc. etc. Lindsay needs someone to intervene like Britney’s father did. (Anyone but white oprah).

I read once that by the time you start noticing hair loss, you’ve lost like, a third of your hair. My guess is Linnocent is down to 1/4 the hair she used to have. She’s in her mid-twenties! Someone has to save that girl’s life. She’s NOT gonna have a wake-up call on her own. Even if she hits rock bottom she’s far too escapist and delusional. Doesn’t she have grandparents or an aunt that can do something?

I know lots of people think the “Linnocent” crackie thing is funny in a sad way, but I honestly think she’s dying. She’ll go out like Amy Winehouse. Not if, but when.

  64. bee says:

    She looks beautiful!! 🙂

  65. Micha Kite says:

If you’ve seen the photos of her from today she still has her weave: http://goo.gl/SPu8j

  66. Diegozicob says:

People speculate & make assumptions without knowing all there is to know about the story. She passed every single one of her drug test when they were court ordered back in 2007 when she was at her worst. Whether that included prescription drugs no one really knows.

She could’ve had post partum depression as well. She had her kids within a year of each other & was having marital issues as well as recording an album. Who knows what kind of stress she was under as a new mother who didn’t have much family support at the time either as she alienated herself from everyone. She’s gone from strength to strength since then.

And on the music side, just cos an artist decides to use some vocal effects and doesn’t slap their name on every songs writing credits doesn’t mean they’re any less involved in the process. Its a fact that artists do buy writing credits or are listed as writers with not much input. Songwriters & producers have come out saying that.

  67. Isabel says:

    Yay!! You go girl!!

  68. sashavice says:

She sticks her tongue out a little when she is doing a genuine smile.
