These are photos from Friday’s Lanvin show during Paris Fashion Week. Some Americans were in attendance, like Anna Wintour, Rachel Zoe, and this lady we see here, Julianne Moore. Julianne has been wearing a lot of Lanvin the past few years, to very mixed results. I personally don’t think it’s a good collaboration, but I think Julianne’s style – if she ever had any – has significantly gone out the window in general. When Tom Ford was dressing her around the promotional tour for A Single Man, she looked like crap too, so I don’t know what to think. I hope she finds a new designer that actually makes attractive, flattering clothes for her.
As for how Julianne actually looked at the show – I don’t hate the dress, which I’m assuming is Lanvin. It looks sort of like a deflated circus tent, but whatever. I do hate those dumb sunglasses, though. WHY?!? And WHY isn’t Julianne’s hair a normal shade of ginger? Why is it so dark?!? Oh, and Julianne didn’t shave her legs either – or is that a freckle situation? I can’t tell. I’m including a close up of her legs. What the hell is going on with Julianne? Has she gone crazy?
Here’s Rachel Zoe with Rodger. Zoe doesn’t style Julianne, but they’re friendly, and I’d like to see what Zoe could do with Julianne.
Oh, and Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr (in leather shorts!) were at the Lanvin show too, fresh off of Miranda walking the runway for Dior. I’ve included a photo of Orly looking up at Miranda like she’s the light of his life. They are really, really cute together.

That’s not hair. Those are freckles on her legs.
Didn’t she just play Sarah Palin? That would explain the dark hair. Dark Color is a bitch to strip off. And I think the legs are due to a freckle situation.
Will someone PLEASE explain how to hem clothing (i.e. pants, dresses, etc.) to RACHEL ZOE???? I saw pics the other day where she was wearing a blue pantsuit/jumper & RUINING the hemline……WAY TOO LONG.. Now look what she’s doing to that beautiful white dress above. PLEASE HIRE A SEAMTRESS to hem your clothing, Rachel!!
I love Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr.. they seem so in love. And their BABY!!!!! Needs more baby.
@ Gee: YES! I LOVE baby Kerr-Bloom. That picture of Orlando gazing at Mirando is too funny for words (if you check out the extended reel at Lainey’s blog there are some other awesome shots of his reaction as Miranda walks down the catwalk).
And Julianne’s photos feel like some behind-the-scenes shots of “A Single Man”, heh.
Freckle situation. Once she took the glasses off she looked pretty.
Miranda and Orlando….simply adorable.
And Rachel…..hem your clothes!!! Wtf!
I think Julianne looks nice here, the sunglasses are cute. And I’m pretty sure those are just freckles.
I can’t remember the last time I saw her in anything that really flattered her. She is a beautiful woman, but she has no sense of what looks good on her. I will say that being so fair skinned can be a problem when picking colors. I don’t have all the freckles, but I do have fair skin and the last thing I would put on is that ugly color she has on in the photo. The color is not only bad, but it fits her like a belted maternity dress.
I think her legs are just freckled, not hairy. As far her hair color, I am sure she is coloring her hair at this point in her life and she may have been trying something different. Sometimes when you are so fair, going a little darker actually looks better than not.
The dress is so unflattering. She has no chest in it, and the color is horrible. Diane Keaton maybe could get away with this outfit but it doesn’t work on Julianne.
At least she doesn’t look as scary as the woman behind her in the header picture, in the lace white babydoll dress that is way too young for her. Now THAT’s what I call scary.
The sunglasses are totally on trend. Alexa Chung, Mary Kate, all those fashionistas have been wearing them. A bit off the mark here.
I have Julianne’s complextion and a light shade of selftan usually covers the pesky leg freckle situations.
I don’t think Julianne could be bothered though. She seems way too complacent to fuss over looking right, which is a pity. With the right stylist she could be stunning.
…a woman didn’t shave her legs, so she must be crazy? Wtf?
I love her. The outfit…not so much. But the dark hair is for a film she’s at the final stages of finishing called “What Maisie Knew” with Alexander Skarsgard and Steve Coogan. She plays an ex-rock singer.
Julianne is freckled, not hairy.
Not sure about Rachel as a stylist though. She wears hems that drag & she & hubby are in mah-jor need of haircuts. Too scruffy.
Love JM. Great actress.
Fashion Icon she will never be but I kinda of love her for it. It’s about the work for her.
That being said that outfit sux arse. It makes her look dumpy and it’s costumey. Kinda cheap looking too.
That’s ok J. Your talent makes up for it.
What would Rachel Zoe do for Julianne? Stick her in recycled 70s clothing, like she does for everyone else.
Mos Def a freckles situation.
A friend of mine played her son in The Prize Winner of Defiance, Ohio and said she was a great woman. Funny, smart, nice, down to earth would be the paraphrase.
LOL @ the pic with Orlando looking up at Miranda on the runway. Check out the guy picking his nose and the lady next to him giving him the evil eye.
Please, it’s freckles and age, not hair.
I think it’s freckles, but who cares if her legs are shaved anyway?
Remember the phone cord you used to throw down the steps and watch spin so it would uncoil? I think JM is wearing the same thing around her neck. I hate the belt she’s wearing with the dress too. Why do we believe these designers when they suddenly say, “hey, I think it’s time for all dresses to be belted with belts you wouldn’t dream of wearing with a dress…” And like obedient little puppies, we agree. This is what we do…we take fashion advice from people that look like Rachel Zoe. Sorry, but I hate that dress. The only thing missing is a habit to cover her head.
Her dry cleaning bill must be through the roof considering she can never wear the same outfit twice because of the dirt covering the bottom of all her outfits.
