I was drawn in to these UK premiere photos just because I love both Eva Green and Ewan McGregor. I don’t expect you to enjoy these photos as much as I do, but for the love of God, please comment on this post if you’d like me to write more about Eva and Ewan and less about the Kardashians.
Eva and Ewan are just so beautiful to me – Eva, much like Helena Bonham Carter, hides her classic beauty behind profoundly odd styles and makeup choices. Ewan is just pretty, traditionally handsome, with some edge. And they’re made a movie together called Perfect Sense. It’s a love story. They make love on film, together. And weird stuff happens, because it’s a love story mixed with sci-fi. The basic plot is: “A chef and a scientist fall in love as an epidemic begins to rob people of their sensory perceptions.” Ewan is the chef, Eva is the scientist. Here’s the trailer:
Eva’s voiceover is meh – it still would have been haunting and erotic without the voiceover. All I really need to see is Eva and Ewan kissing, and his hand grazing her boob. And is it just me, or does this film look kind of interesting? Like… I’m not sure about the story, but Eva and Ewan look deliciously overwrought here, and I’ll probably watch it just to see them act opposite each other.
So… the premiere photos. Eva always wears these kinds of dresses, and her makeup is always overdone, so my only complaint is about the shoes. They suck, and it looks like she’s about to lose her balance. Ewan just looks gorgeous, though. Sigh… aren’t they better than Kardashians?

Cant believe Ewan looks even better than he did 15 years ago. vibrant and healthy. Eva did a great interview in this weekends Sunday Times I think. fascinating cool person who purposely chooses low budget, independent movies for the most part as they are interesting rather than going after mega bucks. not sure about the movie. I am with you on the voiceover.
Of course they are better than the Kardashians…they are talented and they aren’t famewhores.

I absolutely LOVE Eva Green! She was the best part of Casino Royale to me, next to Daniel Craig’s boxers. She is stunning in a really traditional, classy way. Yes, please do post more about her 🙂
I saw the trailer a few weeks back and it kind of intrigued me. One thing though: they look SO hot together.
She’s gorgeous and makes interesting choices. Agree with MooHoo – Ewan McG looks better than ever! I get a Daniel Craig/Rachel Weisz vibe here. Certainly a bazillion times more newsworthy than the soon-to-be-kicked-down-a-freeway (*hopes*) Kartrashians.

Gorgeous to look at. And they both have so many interesting things going on in their private lives.
Eva is my biggest girl-crush at the moment, and Ewan is just so lovely, inside & out (seems like a great guy by all accounts). He does seem to be getting better with age! Eva is uber-sexy IMHO, she’s so very French and doesn’t hesitate to shed her clothing in roles. She generally does the heavy, smoky eye so I doubt that will change much. I’ve been very interested in this movie ever since it came out at Sundance. More please!
Everytime you are forced to post a story about those trashbag Kardashians… Why don’t you use an Ewan photo? And spare us the “Katface”. I personally can’t wait until their 15 minutes are over. I wish that bloggers and journalists would stop talking about them. Perhaps that way they would slip into oblivion.
Speaking of Beautiful Ewan though, I am one of those obsessed fans who watch EVERYTHING he’s in. I’ve got both his bike documentaries, and I’ve been trying to get his latest with the BBC and his brother about the RAF planes and pilots. However, I won’t be watching “Beginners”. I love Chridtopher Plummer and the story sounds so compelling, but I cannot stand that Melanie actress. I hate the fact that I might be watching them “not acting” and he’s actually cheating on his wife. It always makes wonder, what happened with that situation?
I don’t agree with the general consensus that they might have an open marriage. During the prep interviews for “long way round” he jokes that his wife made wear his wedding ring during the trip. And, she does not seem to be the kind of woman who would be fine with her husband fooling around off the set.
I always loved him and for the longest time he was my “perfect man” but I must say, after this whole ‘melanie’ crap, he’s gone way down in my list 🙁
Ewan is HOT as usual. Has anyone seen The Long Way Around and The Long Way Down??? Ewan’s documentaries about motorcycling around the world?
I have no idea who Eva Green is. Her face is beautiful, but her hair, makeup and clothes are just awful. She looks like a goth chick who partied till 3 am, crashed on the couch, and woke up 2 hours later to rush to the red carpet.
I too vote for more of Eva Green. An attractive woman who can act is a rarity in Hollywood these days :0)

I would much rather read about these two (really, just about anyone) than the Kardashians. Now… Ewan is so handsome. I love him. And I think he looks great here. Eva is beautiful but not like this. The eye makeup and hair are awful and I’m not feeling the dress or shoes. So I’m just going to focus on Ewan. sigh.

I have deeply loved Ewan since “Velvet Goldmine”. A very under-rated movie in my opinion. Especially if you want some hot boy-on-boy action.
The worst thing about Green’s outfits sometimes is not the dress itself (for instance, I kinda like the one she’s wearing here — minus that lacey hem), it’s the make-up. It feels like she purposely wants to ruin her (very classic) beauty!

Eva Green is so beautiful and has a very mysterious look. I was totally hoping she would have been the choice for the cat woman.
They are both drop-dead gorgeous. Eva has the right to express herself however she wants, but I wish she’d make less offbeat choices in hair/makeup in particular (at least occasionally). She is so phenomenally beautiful, her RC looks rarely do her justice.
Ack! I love Ewan McGregor! And I really liked Eva Green in the first (new) Bond movie, but I’m embarrassed to say I haven’t seen her in anything else. She is lovely, though, but yeah, that make-up needs to go.

And I was surprised by HOW MUCH chemistry these two had on-screen. That, and how much better she looks when her eyelids aren’t obscured behind bad makeup, but we all agree on that front — girl likes her eyeshadow.
Anyway — they really click together, on-screen (enough that I could *almost* forget that Ewan looks just like my ex-husband, making it difficult for me to watch him without making a squinty “ewww” face…..).

Yes, please post any non-pap photos of Ewan. I saw him live in May and he is even more gorgeous, and gracious, in person.
