Gwyneth Paltrow and Brad Pitt are set to star in a new movie together about the life of former president Richard Nixon:
The couple, who were engaged in 1996, previously starred together in the thriller SEVEN.
NIP/TUCK director RYAN MURPHY has also just cast SHARON STONE and JIM BROADBENT in DIRTY TRICKS.
The film also features MERYL STREEP playing MARTHA MITCHELL, the wife of Nixon’s Chief of Staff JOHN MITCHELL.
Paltrow will play MAUREEN DEAN, who stood by her husband JOHN, another member of the Nixon team, as the administration slowly sank into scandal, according to moviehole.net.
Both Gwyneth and Brad have new babies with other partners. They’re sure to have a lot to talk about on set, and this sounds like it will be a great film. It’s also good news for Gwyneth. She’s been blabbing about how she’s ready to get back to work for some time.

Nahhhh. They’ll stay professional. Gwenyth has turned into such a snob since she moved and decided that America was rubbish. Of course, she complains about Londoners all the time too. I think she’s just in love with herself, and the musician husband indulges it.
Oh come on! First of all, these two were AWFUL together – this picture that Celebitchy has posted is the only photo I’ve ever seen where she actually looks HAPPY with him. They weren’t only lovers, they were a soon-to-wed-couple, and appearing together on screen must be awkward.. But they’ve both moved on, have their own families now, and I guess they’re professional enough to deal with it. Though I doubt that they’re gonna have many scenes together.. maybe Brad Pitt won’t even appear as an actor as well, or maybe only has a cameo role.. Who knows!

I’m with marine on what was said. Is renee Brad’s publicist? First of all, it doesn’t really matter who filed the divorce papers. That doesn’t mean anything about who left the relationship first. Second of all, just because they have cute kids doesn’t mean they will refrain from rekindling old feelings. Stars (like these, not all) are egos. Literally. Anybody would enjoy reliving the happy times of their past relationships with someone they once loved and more importantly LOVED THEM! Just like in all relationships, married couples get bogged down in the business side of marital duties. It isn’t nearly exciting as a fling with someone who just thinks you’re WONDERFUL and doesn’t want you to take out the trash or pay the guy that takes your trash out for you. Human nature compounded by Hollywood-Egos=Affairs. Yes, even when there are kids involved!
