You know what’s bad? Gwyneth Paltrow puts so much time, energy, money and ego into getting dressed for various red carpets, and it’s gotten to the point where she almost always looks WORSE when she’s trying, as opposed to her casual look. Look at these photos of Goop last night in London, where she met up with Guy Ritchie for dinner (more on that in a moment). Her hair isn’t flat-ironed to within an inch of its life, her makeup is soft and barely-there. Her outfit isn’t stunning, but I don’t hate it either, and she looks cute and young and her skin looks great. Why can’t she find a way to translate her under-done “street style” to the red carpet? She’s like the polar opposite of Jennifer Garner, who always looks busted in her “street style” but usually looks fresh and beautiful on the red carpet. WTF?
By the way, this white sweater of Goop’s? It’s a repeat! She was wearing it in NYC a month ago, and many of you were lusting after it then, when she paired it with skinny jeans. Dame Gwyneth is deigning to show us the versatility of this sweater – it can be paired with skinny jeans OR a jaunty little skirt. I’m sure the sweater costs upwards of $2000. So versatile! Dame Goop just wanted us to see it again. As for the outfit as a whole – CB hates the skirt, but my least favorite parts are the tights and the booties.
Now, for the Guy Ritchie gossip… I’ve got nothing, really. We already know that Gwyneth and Madonna are no longer friends, but of course Gwyneth would stay friends with such an influential director like Guy. OF COURSE. Guy was at the dinner with his baby-mama Jacqui Ainsley, who just gave birth two months ago. Do you think Guy and Goop ever talk about how much they hate Madonna now?

Yeah I don’t see what the the big difference is, I have seen Gwen many times with no makeup. I think her “above everyone” attitude destroys any compliments I have toward her, but with that being said she looks no different, matter of fact her hair is a bit messy, looks like she just stepped out of bed and not in a sexy way either…I’m wondering why I never see her out much with Chris Martin…(trouble in paradise ehh?)

I like the complete look and I still love her for doing seven, emma, great expectations, the talented mr.ripley, the royal tenenbaums, sylvia, sky captain and the world of tomorrow…
And then I must admit it more or less stops with the good movies, unfortunately.

Kara Ann-Goopy and Winona were BFF’s back in the day when they were with Ben Affleck and Matt Damon respectively. They had a COLOSSAL falling out the details about which are unclear centering around one stealing the script for Shakespeare In Love from the other ( I have heard versions in which one or the other is the guilty party). In 2009 GOOPY said this most think it’s about Winona who of course went through that epic court battle over her klepto behavior:

Guy has been commendably gracious since his split with Madonna and has said nothing but positive things about her, but I think he’s just too much of a gentleman to sink to dissing her publicly. She basically thwarted his career while they were married (coughcough*sweptaway*coughcough), which has had an amazing resurgence since they divorced. She’s just a black hole of narcissism that sucks everything in her path into the abyss, including her friendship with Goop.
I think it has less to do with grace and more to do with the $76 million dollar payout that she doled out to him. I’m sure there was a “keep your f-ing mouth shut” clause in there.
Guy’s a nice looking man, but I couldn’t be married to him. He seems controlling. He’d lead Madonna around by the elbow. That would irritate the sh*t out of me.
Why so much animosity toward her on that site? It’s like posters love to hate her and hate on her. And those who don’t APOLOGIZE for it. Yes I know this is celeBITCHy but I still don’t get it!

OMG, isn’t that sweater gorgeous-I am drooling. I am an advanced beginner knitter, but I bet some knitting wizard could knock that sweater off from the pics-Goo’s worn it twice-and even with really nice yarn, make it for say-$300.
I’ll bet a Chinese worker slaved away on it (by hand), and then the designer jacked the price up 1000% plus and Goo bought it.

GP is I agree a preppy uptown girl, as someone else mentioned…my first thought exactly was that she should dres more east coast and london-it suits her, style wise…and she does look better with a natural look as well. The hardened, sexy, or hollywood or edgy looks do not become her.

She looks exactly like her mom to me in these pictures. I do like that she goes out with minimal makeup and isnt afraid to be seen not all made up.

She does look nice but could have switched the skirt to a pencil skirt or changed the boots/tights combo and it would have looked better in my opinion. I do like how soft and pretty her hair looks-very nice.

I don’t know. I think the outfit looks really preppy and mismatched. Doesn’t look good at all to me. It just doesn’t work if you know what I mean. It may be the stockings. I don’t know what it is, but it doesn’t mesh well together.
