Yesterday, TMZ had a weird photo of Drew Barrymore and her fiancé, Will Kopelman, leaving a doctor’s office in Beverly Hills – go here to see the photo. TMZ claims Drew is carrying “what appears to be sonogram results”…? All I can really make out is the lollipop. That’s a lollipop, right? Not a fetus? But this photo has spurred some rumors about Drew’s engagement to “art consultant” (eye roll) Will. Shotgun marriage?
Could Drew Barrymore be planning more than just her wedding this year?
After the recently engaged actress was spotted leaving a doctor’s office with a sonogram in-hand over the weekend, seen in a photo posted on TMZ.com, some are wondering whether Barrymore, 36, is expecting her first baby with fiancé Will Kopelman.
The couple would like to become parents, a source close to them told PEOPLE last month. “Drew is so motherly,” the source said at the time. “Will would like to be a dad. Family is so important to him.”
When asked by PEOPLE if Barrymore was expecting, her rep had no comment.
Although there could be another explanation for the sonogram, starting a family has long been on Barrymore’s mind. “I definitely feel the beginnings of a tick-tock,” she told PEOPLE in 2006. “Whether I have children or adopt, whatever form a family comes in, I would absolutely love to have it.”
In recent weeks, the actress has stepped out for public appearances in notably loose-fitting clothing, though her characteristic style has always been on the bohemian side. At a Feb. 18 party celebrating Marni’s new line for H&M, the actress was asked if she had selected a wedding dress yet. Laughing, she told reporters, “Oh, gosh, I don’t know! I’ve been trying to figure it out! All I know is that I want something tasteful, something timeless.”
Barrymore first stepped out with Kopelman, an art consultant, last February.

Yes, I wish we had access to the photos of Drew at that H&M event, but we don’t – you can see them here. Drew’s dress was definitely loose, and there could totally be a little bump there. I never really thought of Drew as the kind of girl who needed a ring as soon as she got knocked up, though. You know? That move is for the Natalie Portmans of the world – not for hippie-dippy Drew. But I guess Drew is trying to be more “legit” these days. She’s a lady now! She even released an official “engagement portrait” – like she’s Duchess Kate or something.
And yes, this dude totally looks like Jessica Simpson’s baby-daddy too – Eric Johnson. Are Eric and Will somehow related? Do they knock up rich women and then just wait for their paycheck?

I checked out the photo at TMZ and the thing that jumped out at me was how UNHAPPY they looked and that they were walking so far apart. If she IS pregnant and she’s just had her first ultrasound then shouldn’t they be a bit happier and a bit more interactive on their way out of the appointment? It seems weird to me.
Also, to CB – Will Kopelman comes from a wealthy family. His father is a former CEO of CHANEL. Eric Johnson is not in the same category.

Congrats if true. Maybe he’s the one that wants to go the traditional route, he is from a rich family so maybe his kid would have a problem inheriting some of the family money if it wasn’t born into a “legitmate” union.

Hmm, my comment doesn’t seem to have posted. I love Drew, always have. I think her personality is very similar to the casual/hippie, live and let live vibe that comes off of her, an I love how she has matured and grown. I also think she should be able to pick whoever she wants to be with regardless of financial status/career path. But I feel that way about all the celebrities who get with people who are “beneath” them, unless it is plainly a PR/boytoy/powertrip situation.
So if they are happy, more power to them. Go Drew!

I’ve always liked her too. Whatever’s going on, I hope she’s happy and healthy, and it all works out for her.
If its true I’m happy for her but their are many other reasons for ultrasounds other than pregnancy and that could be why they look unhappy.
She’s adorable and I’m sure that whenever she does become a mother, she’ll be super hands on, protective and just wonderful. So congrats if she is!
She’s no spring chicken and at our age pregnancy is a tricky thing. Many women don’t want share until they are past the first trimester. I’d imagine that with celebs even more so…who wants to share such a private thing with the entire world.

I wish them both the best. Drew is the older sister I always wanted (not in a creepy obsessed way but as in she is that real to me). It’s been interesting because I think she has matured a lot in the last few years. She does seem like the goofy hippy girl we all knew. I hope she is happy and I wish her and Will the best. I just hope he treats her well and they live happily ever after. If she is pregnant then I am happy and excited for her. She is the one actress who I think would be a legitmately good Hollwood mom because she would not want to put her children through the same things she went through as a child.
When actresses decide to date someone who isn’t a fellow actor, they like to go for “art dealer” or “art consultant” because they feel it still makes them look sophisticated.

Awwww! So sweet! I am sure she will be a loving and devoted mother. I LOL’d at the pictures of them leaving the doctor’s office. We were the same way, dazed, overwhelmed, him toting a plastic bag of a variety of different prenatal vitamins and oodles of literature on pregnancy. We’d just been read the riot act about all the things I should and could not do while pregnant and we were all “Deli meat? Really? When’s the last time we had sushi? Why can’t I take a bath? No more hot yoga? I think I’m gonna barf. Did she say all cheese was bad or just the good kind?”

I know they do ultrasounds for other reasons, but do they really send you home with pictures of your gallbladder or whatever?
This guy is much more handsome than Mr. Simpson-to-be. and Drew Barrymore-vow, she really grew in to her looks. Yes, yes I know she’s 30-something, but she has never looked better to me.
Anyway, baby or not, good luck to her! I always had a feeling that she really paid the price of HW fame with her childhood, and she is the one of the rare folk in HW that I wish happiness upon, although I don’t really follow her career.
